Awake...stranded...it all seems to have happened so long ago...

I awoke on an unknown island. I didn't have any food, water, or recollection of how I ended up there. I searched for food but I could only find dangerous creatures I thought were myths...

I searched for bushes and when I found them I tried to rummage through them in hope for fruit. I could smell fresh berries and could hear the gentle lull of the waves against the sand.

I sat down on the sand and told myself, "It's just a dream... wake up!" I slapped myself hard on the face... nothing happened apart from my face hurting a lot.

I then wondered why I was there, it made no sense. Eventually I started to walk around, looking for something to give me clues on where I was.

I was shocked when I saw a small Lystrosaurus that looked hungry and searching for food. I decided I could kill it and eat it, but it looked too cute.

I searched the ground near me and then gave the small creature some berries I kept repeating this until it looked full.

I walked away and it followed me. "Stop following me" I whispered to it. I walked away from it again and it still kept following me. "Shoo! Go away." I said to it in a raised voice.

It kept following me. I just accepted it and bent down to pet it.

The little creature shook from side to side, it's small tail windmilling behind it, presumably from glee. It's legs suddenly gave out from under it, and it rolled over into its back, stumpy legs wiggling in the air to get more attention.

I watched it in amusement, and obliged warily, petting it's stomach.

Eventually it got up and as I walked away, it followed me.

I went to collect sticks and stones. The Lystrosaurus seemed to want to help so it grabbed a stone in it's mouth and dragged it to me. I thanked it and patted it on it's head.

I put stones in a circle and then some sticks in the middle. I rubbed two sticks together with my hands to try and get sparks but it didn't work so I searched for more stones and hoped it would work if I put a stick and stone together and rubbed them against each other. It still didn't work.

I searched once more for dead moss or dead grass. I eventually  found some brush and used it to make a campfire over the sticks. I got my Lystrosaurus to lie by the fire with me and then I slept.

I awoke with the Lystrosaurus on my legs, snuggling into them as if it was a small child and I was it's father. It was cute, but it was also unnerving.

This was a dinosaur. What was it doing here? Why hadn't I woken up from this weird, weird dream yet? Was I ever going to wake up at all?

I woke the Lystrosaurus and shoved it off without really thinking about it.

Fortunately, it landed on the beach  and got up, ready to run away from any carnivores trying to eat it.

It then realised it was me, and screamed in fright.

It tripped over it's tail and landed in a bush where it found berries and eventually calmed down by eating its newfound snack.

But, there were not enough berries for me and it so I decided to find my own bush and maybe even a few sticks and a sharp stone along with something to hold them together.

I found a log on the ground and strapped a sharp stone to it with some joined up vines.

I tried to break a rock with it, using all my strength to make at least a dent in it.

I was going to use this to kill things, cook them, and then eat them, or use them to befriend another creature that accepts meat as a peace offering.

I let my Lystrosaurus wander amongst the bushes and eat them. I knew he wouldn't be able to eat them all any time soon so I left him there for a while, trusting he would stay there.

While wandering I encountered the biggest dinosaur ever... a Spinosaurus playing around with two massive turtles, hitting them around with almost no effort.

While watching, I heard a growl and then a roar. I turned around to see a dilophosaurus with it's frills out that seemed as though it was about to spit venom into my face. I jumped to the side then quickly got back up and ran, making sure I wasn't going towards the Spinosaurus.

While running I grabbed a few rocks, and as I ran I launched the rocks blindly at the dilophosaurus. This, luckily, managed to slow it down long enough for me to escape it's line of sight.

Once I was sure it wasn't going to catch up any time soon, I leaned my arm against a tree and took a minute to calm down. I took a deep breath before walking off once more.

It was then that I remembered my makeshift spear. My stomach grumbled, and as I looked across the beach, I realised what I had to do. It wasn't like there was much choice in the matter, anyway.

I removed the spear from my back, and walked up to a nearby bird. I killed it quickly with a swift jab to it's neck, and then carried it's body back to my campfire.

When I arrived at the campfire, I put the dodo's lifeless corpse down beside it. I walked over to a copse of bushes and began to pick out some berries and vines. I then picked up a large rock and some sticks. I wrapped the sticks together using the vines and attached the stone to the top of the tightly bound bundle.

I tested it out on a rock, hitting it with as much force as I could muster. Instead of how people normally mine, a few rocks and pieces of flint just rolled down to my feet. I grabbed them and put them into my pocket. I could need them some time later.

I walked back to the dodo. I began to cut it, tossing most of it's meat onto a flat slab of stone I'd found, and then sliding it over the roaring fire. I kept some raw meat. I heard the lystorsaurus squeal as it ran toward me.

Behind my lystrosaurus was another dilophosaurus. This one was a different colour from th first; a rich, dark blue. I jumped in front of it and held out the raw meat. It thought for a moment before munching on the meat with some hesitation.

The dilophosaurus seemed friendly, well, as friendly as a carnivore could be. It didn't try to eat me or my lystrosaurus, which I took as a good sign. I placed some more of the raw meat in front of it in case it became hungry again.

I ate the meat I had cooked and lay down on the sand. I felt extremely tired after my last encounter. I decided to go to sleep.
