Gidget had a small spring in her step as she headed straight for the apartment building across from her very own. The air was filled with singing birds and the sun was smiling down at the city that never sleeps. The bright day had no worries or clouds. Tail wagging, Gidget climbed up the green fire escape. She could have been described only as the personification of joy at this moment in time.

As she went higher and higher up the steep steps of the fire escape, Gidget began to think of her loving boyfriend Max. Her heart beated like a snare drum as she pictured the cute Jack Russell terrier. His floppy ears. His little paws. His tail wagging nonstop. His soft fur. But most of all, she loved that special sparkle in his brown eyes. The white Pomeranian sighed happily as she thought about it.

"Looks like someone is in a good mood," Buddy remarked as Gidget arrived outside of his window. The dachshund was laying on his stomach under the windowsill. Laughing quietly, Gidget tilted her head slightly to the left as she asked, "What are you doing?" Before Buddy could say anything, Chloe jumped up and exclaimed, "Found ya!"

"Oh come on! Mel, did she find you too?!" Buddy cried as he entered his apartment in defeat. Chuckling to herself, Chloe remarked quietly, "Now there should be one more..."

"Have fun guys!" Gidget called over her shoulder as she continued on towards the fifth floor above their heads. Her tail wagged even faster with each step she took. At last, the Pomeranian arrived outside of Max's window. She was just about to enter when she heard voices inside. Thinking it was probably the TV, she hopped up on the windowsill and peered in to find a heartbreaking sight.

Max was playing around with another Jack Russell terrier, who was a female. And Gidget had caught the two kissing.
