Snarling, Tiberius stopped in his tracks. His talons, stained red with some poor victim's blood, tore up the floorboards while his eyes gazed over the six animals standing before him. Gidget could tell that he was anticipating which one to go for first. "Hide in that room, don't come out until I tell you," the fluffy white Pomeranian whispered quietly to the five youngsters cowering behind her, adding on to that order, "And do it slowly." None of them questioned her word and they all did what they were told.

Still growling, Tiberius took a step forward. Acting calmly, Gidget got in his path. "Shut the door," she spoke softly, not looking back. The sound of a creaking door told her that someone had done what she had said. Focusing on her husband and best friend now, the fluffy white Pomeranian whispered, "Tiberius, I know you're in there. I don't want to fight you." The only response Gidget received was a low and threatening growl.

Making small and calm movements, Gidget dared to step closer towards Tiberius. "You can try all you want but you're not gonna scare me," she informed him, all the while getting closer. His feathers bristling and red eyes glowing, Tiberius hissed. When Gidget still didn't back off, he took a swipe at her.

Dodging the blow, Gidget was unfazed as she mumbled, "You missed." Tiberius replied with a snarl. Taking a deep breath, the fluffy white Pomeranian padded up to the old hawk boldly, not a trace of fear in her. Meanwhile, the door opened slightly and her children peered out to watch, their friends right beside them.

"You don't scare me Tiberius, do you know why?" Gidget whispered as she continued approaching her husband, who was now giving off silent growls. Standing in front of him now so they were face to face, she could see the red glow in his eyes beginning to flicker. Smiling softly, she answered her own question, "Because I love you." Reaching up, the fluffy white Pomeranian kissed the old hawk, not even knowing about the look of disgust on Harrison and Sparky's faces behind her as she closed her eyes. After awhile, Gidget pulled apart.

"I love you too Gidget," Tiberius whispered, opening his own eyes, which now returned to their original color. Smiling, Gidget embraced her husband.
