It wasn't long until Gidget and Andromeda reached the spot where the small hawk had left her father. Seeing the dark crimson stain growing on her husband's chest, Gidget quietly approached Tiberius's side. "Tiberius, it's me, Gidget," she whispered, gently shaking his shoulder to wake him up. Blinking his eyes open, the old hawk smiled softly as he mumbled, "Am I in heaven?"

"Nope, not yet," Gidget replied, nuzzling Tiberius lovingly. Turning to Andromeda, she asked quietly, "Can you go find a piece of fabric that we can use for your father please?" The small hawk went without question. A smile spread across the fluffy white Pomeranian's face as she remarked, "She finally said her first word."

"Yeah and I finally had one of them say 'Daddy' first. You managed to get the other two," Tiberius rasped. Rolling her eyes, Gidget pointed out, "Technically, I only got Esmeralda. Harrison's first words was more food."

"Fair enough."

Just then, Andromeda came back dragging a torn piece of fabric she had gotten from a curtain out in the hall. Gently wrapping it around Tiberius's chest, Gidget spoke softly, "Thank you sweetie." Andromeda brushed up against her mother and purred her response. Helping the old hawk to his feet, the Pomeranian murmured, "Can you walk?"

"Not exactly..." Tiberius wheezed, leaning against Gidget for support. The fluffy white Pomeranian let him stay there as she quietly led both her husband and daughter out of the air vents. Giving the old hawk a gentle lick on the cheek, she whispered reassuringly, "We'll be out of here in no time."
