Shovel Knight looks tired laying down like that. But now he's just playing with his shovel. "Hey, Shove. Its getting dark. Ready to camp?" He nods slowly and lazily, proving my point even more. He slowly walks over to the stack of logs and starts sparking his shovel against it until flame arises. A sudden warmth flows, and it feels nice. "Hey, Shove... Remember how we first met?" He nods a bit faster than his last, getting up to scoot closer to me. "It was strange, wasn't it?" He nods again, more attentive then he was just a few seconds ago. "I remember when it happened, too. I was out on a quest from my guild. Back when I was a Mercenary, and I had to end up fighting a dragon that shot bubbles of all things! That beast looked so tired when I showed up. Suddenly the dragon opened its eyes, and bam! Suddenly over the cliff came a chivalrous blue knight with a Shovel in hand!" I raise my palm, the memory slowly becoming a story as Shovel Knight claps for me, urging me to continue. "It was about to shoot fire at me through its large mouth, and you suddenly clutched your Shovel below your feet, cleaving into the monsters neck. It stopped the monster long enough for me to kick it in the eye, and then the monster fled, leaving its treasure behind. I remember, I kept trying to give you the treasure as thanks for saving me but you wouldn't take it... On that same day we became friends, and you left your king to join me as a Mercenary." He nods again to show he was paying attention. I smile down to him, wondering something. "Shovel Knight... Do you ever regret that decision? To leave the royal guard for some low-blood like me? He immediately stands up, waving his hands and shaking no angrily. He's so sweet sometimes... "Okay, okay. I get it." He smiles, sitting back down. A sudden gust of cold wind feels like it passes right through me. "Um... Shove? Do you ever feel like you're being watched?" He shakes his head no, looking around as if he is curious to what I mean. "Its nothing, Shovel Knight. Just a cold chill..." He nods, laying down. "Wanna sleep, now?" He nods slowly, looking exhausted from today. I don't blame him, I am too. Plus its been dark for awhile. "Alright... Then 'night, Shovel Knight. Hope you sleep well." He points to me, as if to say you too. Then he closes his eyes. I lay down after him, trying to sleep through the chill of the night.
