NIGHT TIME...

"1 minute."

Swara was silently counting seconds as she faced her back towards Sanskar as they were on their bed, pretending in front of each other that they were sleeping. But actually, they were not.

It was going to be midnight in sometime and apparently, their first anniversary night. Swara was enthusiastic as she felt the night before their anniversary was going to begin. Her heart contained a mixture of excitement and happiness.

[SWARA'S BG MUSIC]

How does time go so slow and fast at the same time! It felt like just yesterday when she and Sanskar admitted their love for each other in Mandir. It felt like just yesterday when he took her out for a romantic date, and then to their picnic, the time period between their engagement and marriage... she had never felt more blessed.

The ultimate truth was he was the one who blessed her life with his love!

So, here went the present time. Swara was eagerly waiting for the click to tick 12. Once it was 12.00 am, the night was hers. Or should she say theirs?

She had the perfect plan in her mind to make this night perfect for both of them!

♡♡♡♡♡~~~♡♡♡♡♡

Swara made some weird faces, unable to take it anymore. First of all, this Sanskar came late from his office and headed straight towards his bed and dozed off so early that Swara couldn't even say a Hi to him. But in one way, she could understand the entire seven hour stress and she understood that he needed rest. But still, a small part if her heart was a bit upset.

But her plan would never go wrong!

"59.. 58.. 57.."

Swara was squealing in her place in excitement but at the same time, she made sure that Sanskar did not wake up. She didn't want to disturb his sleep.

"This is the most special day of my life, Sanskar. On this day, I was yours in every way. This day gave me a new life with the identity of Swara Sanskar Maheshwari! Thank you... for coming in my life!"

"Anyways... 35.. 34.. 33.."

"Happy anniversary in advance, my dearest husband! Just 10 seconds are remaining but I am wishing you anyway..." Swara whispered in Sanskar's ear before pressing her lips softly against a sleeping Sanskar's head.

"But my dearest husband, I am sorry too. Because I am going to... maybe... scare you with my voice as soon as it's midnight. But I can't help it! You were the one who sleep so early without caring for anything."

And here was her plan!

"10.. 9.. 8.."

"7.. 6.. 5.."

Swara curiously looked at the ticking wall clock, eagerly waiting for the second hand to cross twelve.

"4.. 3.. 2.. 1.. 0.."

"HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MRS SWARA SANSKAR MAHESHWARI !!!"

Before Swara could even open her mouth to scare Sanskar, he had already done the honors and right now she found herself puzzled.

Sanskar got up from the bed, wishing her in the best way he could. Swara looked at him with her shocked expression while Sanskar chuckled.

Swara (complained) : One minute.. this is cheating Sanskar!

Sanskar (folded his arms) : Arey! What is cheating here?

Swara : And here I thought that you slept. So I was going to be the one who will shout that.

Sanskar (chuckled) : Well...

Swara : I had decided to let you sleep because you were very tired when you came back from the office.

And that's when Swara was reminded once again that forgetting anything related to them wasn't in Sanskar's dictionary. How could he even dare to sleep on his first marriage anniversary? No way. He was awake all this while. You know it, our Sanskar Maheshwari always had different ways of doing things!

Sanskar (smiled) : Swara.. seriously? Did you really think I'll sleep like this on our first marriage anniversary night?

Swara : Haan.. (made a weird face) I thought that because you were...

Sanskar : Tired. Seriously?!

Swara : Hmm. But why did you pretend to sleep like this?! I almost thought that my surp...

Sanskar narrowed his eyes and Swara immediately held herself back from spilling out the beans. Now that Sanskar was finally awake, she would resume her surprise again.

Sanskar : I pretended because.. somewhere I wanted to see how you would react.

Swara : You are so mean Sanskar!

Sanskar (teased) : Keep saying that to yourself, Mrs Maheshwari. I know I am too good to be mean.

Swara did not say anything and next moment she slid her fingers on his arm, and slowly keeping her head on his shoulder, and Sanskar gathered her in his embrace, returning the warmth.

Swara : You know what, you are right. You are too perfect to be mean.

Sanskar (smiled more) : So... my dear wifey. Wish you a very very happy marriage anniversary!

Swara (smiled) : Happy one year anniversary, Mr Sanskar Maheshwari!

And with that, she immediately pecked his cheek and pulled back leaving Sanskar completely stunned and Swara looked at him with the most beautiful smile on her face... which only he could gift her. Only he had the power to turn those milky cheeks tomato red!

Swara (smiled) : Thank you.. for coming in my life Sanskar. Thank you.. for blessing me with your love every moment. Thank you.. for always being my best friend and my soulmate. (emotionally) Thank you for everything.

Sanskar (smiled) : Thanks to you! Tum nahi aati meri zindagi mein, toh aaj bhi unn andhero mein bhatak raha hota mai... You complete me, Swara. And I can't bear any meaning without you... My life would have been nothing without you in it.

Swara : Tumhe pata hai Sanskar? The best things in my life are better.. only with you. None of it has any meaning if I don't have you by my side. I have always treasured each and every moment of us... Each and every moment in our lives is so special to me. I still live them...

Sanskar : Okay, so, princess, how about we live those moments.. again!

His tone had a tinge of teaseness and Swara stared at him confused.

Swara : Matlab?

Sanskar : Matlab.. well. I have something for you. Something I want to show you... right now!

Swara (shocked) : Kya! This means.. Sanskar! Is there any surprise for me?!

And here she thought she was the one to surprise!!!

Swara looked at him with something flickering in her eyes and that's the moment when Sanskar realised... it was time to show her his anniversary gift for her! It was their day, how couldn't he make it special for her?

Sanskar (smiled) : Come on, Swara.

He brushed his blanket away from himself and Swara looked at him still unable to believe what he said...

Was it possible to fall in love with the same man every time and more than before? He always put so much efforts on her only to make her feel so special. Sometimes she thought... what did she do that she deserved such a lovely person?

But no more... now it was Swara's opportunity to show him what he meant to her! If he could show her her place in his life repetitively, then why couldn't she?

"Sanskar!!! Kya kar rahe ho..." Swara asked with a frown as Sanskar covered her eyes as he took her to the terrace. Sanskar chuckled seeing her making cute expressions.

Sanskar : Ssh! Just stay silent, Swara.

Swara : I think we are going to the terrace. I am feeling the direction...

Sanskar (shrugged) : May be or may not be!

Swara : (chirped) Accha.. now how long are you going to close my eyes like this?

Sanskar : (smiled) Until I show you my surprise!

Swara (like an obedient child) : Ohh. Okay.

Just when Sanskar and Swara were at the threshold, Sanskar whispered in Swara's ear.

Sanskar : Now... open your eyes!

Sanskar slowly slid his palms off Swara's eyes, finally allowing her to open her eyes. And Swara's slowly opened her eyes, only to be left spellbounded by the magic her husband always created!

Everywhere Swara had her eyes on in the wide terrace, there was something to admire! Her lips curved into a broad smile as she could see that the gorgeous burning candles around the terrace enlightened her entire being. The wide, entire terrace displayed the pictures and all memorable moments of Swara and Sanskar. Picture frames hanging showed each and every single moment of their life together, be it their date, their picnic, their engagement, their sangeet, their marriage and their time after marriage... everything was gracefully displayed by the railings around the terrace and the candles enlightened above those pictures made those moments alive once again!!! The terrace was now adorned by their memories which had become alive! Each and every area of the wide terrace screamed their love for each other!

Just when she thought she couldn't love this man more...

How was it possible for him to do all this in his hectic schedule? When did he do all this?

While Sanskar just simply stood aside her smiling watching her expressions, Swara turned her head towards him. She was completely shaken by the adornment of the place she was standing in.

Swara : When.. When did you do all this?

Sanskar (shrugged) : It hasn't been a while. I did it when I was back home. I was planning it for days.

Swara (spellbounded) : San.. Sanskar it is so.. beauti.. I don't have words to vocalise out! Beautiful isn't the word I should give. It's much more than that!!! I don't think any word can describe how magnificent all this is...

Sanskar smiled and made her turn towards him. Swara blinked her eyes twice, trying not to allow those emotions pour down because she knew Sanskar didn't like them coming out of her eyes...

Sanskar (gripped her shoulders) : But do you know, this place is nothing if you are not there. Swara, tum mera sab kuch ho. Just like I don't bear any meaning without you, even this place bears no meaning where you are not there. It is our place, Swara. Every corner of this place has become alive because I have you by my side. If you were not there, this place wouldn't have any meaning.

Swara (held her palms) : Because every corner here screams our love, Sanskar. (emotionally) When I think I can't love you more... you just make me think the other way round. I love you, Sanskar, with every beat of my heart... with every fibre of my being! I love you!

Sanskar smiled and Swara returned the smile. He cupped her cheeks and pressed his lips against her forehead, making Swara feel the happiest woman alive at this night!

Swara : Accha Sanskar... woh...

Sanskar : Yes? Tell me.

Swara (smiled) : I have a surprise for you too.

Sanskar (smiled broadly) : Wow. Really? What is it?

Swara : Yes! But you know, you were almost going to ruin my plan by making me believe that you were sleeping. So... (teased him a bit) I decided to cancel the surprise. Socha ki subah hi de dungi.

Sanskar : (frowned) What.. no..

Swara (giggled) : Kyaaa Sanskaarr!!! Mai mazak kar rahi hoon! Just see yourself in a mirror. You look no less than a kid right now.

Sanskar (narrowed his eyes folding his arms) : Are you teasing me?

Swara : (chirped) No! (winked) Well.. How can I cancel my surprise just because my husband is a sleepy head?

Sanskar (chuckled) : Swara...

Swara (raised her hand) : No. Now you shut up. (Sanskar shutted up) Just wait here till I bring my surprise.

Giving him a challenging smile, Swara walked away from there leaving Sanskar to wonder how could this girl have so many impressive layers altogether!

Swara was back to the terrace after a few minuted as she walked towards the centre, holding something in her hand which appeared to be something like a box which was covered. Sanskar smiled looking at her... How could a girl look so elegant even in a maroon pink night suit? With those long straight hairs, porcelain like skin, her eyes naturally adorned with eyeliner and full pink lips, he would have already lost himself.

Swara looked at him with a glint in her eyes.

Swara : Any idea what this is?

Sanskar (smiled) : You have brought it, so it will be special.

Swara : Well.. you have guessed it right, Mr Maheshwari. Though maybe it's not much but I hope it makes you feel special.

Sanskar : Okay.. now.. hurry up, Swara! I am waiting for our anniversary gift.

Swara chuckled seeing how roles switched just in a second. Not so long ago, she was in place of him and he was in place of her. No wonder, both were the same!

Swara eyed towards the cloth that covered the little surprise in her hands and Sanskar looked at her before finally unwrapping the gift. He pulled the cloth off only to left bedazzled by the little attempt Swara made to make him feel special... but what he was feeling now was not just 'special' but much more!!!

Sanskar looked at Swara's hands which held the sweet token of love from her side and then at the disc she was holding. The disc holding 1 kg cake which had their photo printed on it...

And to finish the deal, the words penned down by the whipped cream adorned the cake and it read...

'HAPPIE ANNIVERSARY,
MR AND MRS MAHESHWARI'

Sanskar couldn't contain the love and emotions inside of him anymore and his eyes glinted as he read those words again...

Sanskar : Swara.. it's so.. I don't have words for this! When did you bake this?

Swara (smiled and shrugged) : I baked it finding a time where no one, especially you, could catch me red handed.

Sanskar (smiled) : It's so wonderful and amazing... But Swara... the photo...

Swara : Actually for this photo thing, I had gone to the bakery. I placed an order and they gave it to me in a few hours. (chuckled) I know, you must be thinking when did I do it but honestly, you were too busy in your office those days.

Sanskar : Swara... I love you!

At the moment, he felt as if these were the only pure words that could express how special she was to him! Swara smiled before reverting immediately.

Swara : (glared at him) Tsk! Mr Maheshwari! Now are you going to stand here numb or are we both even going to cut it? See, don't insult my hours hardwork.

Sanskar chuckled as Swara made fake anger expressions.

"Yes, Ma'am. On it!" He said obediently with a tinge of teasingness in his tone and Swara rolled her eyes trying not to smile.

Within a few minutes, Sanskar brought a table at the centre of the terrace and Swara kept the cake on the table. She clicked a quick picture of the cake which had her and Sanskar's photo carved beautifully...

After a few seconds, both of them gripped the knife before cutting the cake gracefully, smiles of joy and excitement lingered on their faces for as long as they remembered! After cutting the cake, Sanskar took out the huge chocolate bar and fed it to Swara, and Swara took another bar and fed Sanskar with her hands. They enjoyed and lived their moment to their heart's content!

Swara : There is one more gift for you!!!

Sanskar (amused) : One more? What is it?

Swara (chided) : Not like this! You have to close your eyes for that.

Sanskar : Oh.. okay.. I'll..

Swara : Eyes closed!

Sanskar smiled and finally closed his eyes. Swara beamed as she was finally ready to give him the surprise. She took out something from her pocket which turned out to be a box which was wrapped by a red wrapping paper. She held it in front of Sanskar. "Now open your eyes!"

Sanskar nodded before slowly opening his eyes only to find a beaming Swara and then... his gift in her hands which was possibly... a box?

Swara : Here is your gift!

Sanskar : Can I open it now?

Swara (smiled) : Of course, Mr Maheshwari.

Sanskar smiled and narrowed his eyes while slowly unwrapping the gift. "What has my Shona brought for me?" His edgy tone made Swara beam more. She couldn't wait to see his reaction.

Swara took the wrapping paper from Sanskar to allow him to see his gift. Sanskar looked at every side of the box. It didn't look like any ordinary box. The box was white and the edges were decorated with small studs of rubies, adorning the box. Just the feeling of holding something in his hand which Swara brought for him with so much anticipation made him go haywire. His smile did not leave his face as his eyes revolved everywhere over the box.

Swara (chuckled) : Now don't just see the box, Sanskar. Open it!

Sanskar : Oh.. yes.

The cute box was clicked open by Sanskar and just one look... one look at the lovely gift in his hands and his head snapped at Swara in surprise.

Sanskar : Swara... a watch?!

Swara (shrugged with a smile) : I thought you will like it. I remembered that last time you said you broke your watch by mistake and needed a new one. So... I designed this watch specially for you!

Sanskar (looked at his gift, shaked his head) : Swara.. it is.. so beautiful. I loved it.

Sanskar held the fragile watch around his fingers to have a good look. It was a golden watch with golden belt and it's body inside was white. Amidst glancing at the watch, he did not fail to notice a small 'SS' carved on the belt and that made the watch look more special for him.

Sanskar : It's very special, Swara. I loved it... it's such a small word.

Swara (chirped) : You know how talented I am, right?

Sanskar (smiled) : But I seriously loved it. I'll wear this everyday now.

Swara smiled nodding her head and Sanskar wrapped his arms around her shoulders, making Swara smile and close her eyes. She hugged him back and even more tightly...

Sanskar : I love you!

Swara : I love you too!

To think that they were so happy would be an understatement! They had never felt so good before, except for the times they had had with each other.

Love's an intensification of life, a completeness, a fullness, a wholeness of life. That's what Swara felt being with him! She felt whole. She felt complete. She felt she was the happiest woman alive with this man around her. The most desired gift of love isn't diamonds or roses or chocolate. It is focused attention. What Sanskar did for her and what Swara did for him meant more than the world to them...

The beautiful stars above witnessed the beautiful moment of two souls when they completely lost themselves in each other's embraces...

It was morning finally and just like any other day, the Maheshwaris were at the dining table having their morning breakfast. Today was indeed a special day and the Maheshwaris were prepared to welcome this day.

"Ragini! Ragini!"

Sujata called out in the kitchen and Ragini came to her. "Ji Chachi Ji?"

Sujata (looked at Ragini) : Oh! Here you are! Where is Swara? I didn't see her.

Ragini : I also haven't seen her. Shayad kamre mein hogi.

Just then, Uttara popped into their vision.

Uttara (smirked) : Areyyy Maa! Aaj bhaiyya or bhabhi ki anniversary hai! So obviously they will be at room only na! Bhai must be spending time with Bhabhi.

Uttara laughed and Ragini had a tinge of red in her cheeks. Annaporna who was working all this while widened her eyes at Uttara glaring at her and that instantly made Uttara have a grip on her laughter.

Sujata : (frowned) Really? Thaare ko kaise pata? Tune dekha kya unn dono ko?

Annaporna (hit her slightly gritting her teeth) : S-u-j-a-t-a!!! Work!!!

Sujata : Aah jijji lag gayi mhare ko...

Ragini (tried controlling her chuckle) : Chachi ji, Maa, if you say, shall I go and call Swara?

Annaporna (smiled) : No, it's okay Ragini, she will come. Let's not disturb them.

She pursed her lips trying not to smile and Uttara, Pari and Ragini giggled. Sujata hit her own forehead.

Sujata : Na jijji mai bata rahi hoon.. Mhara chhora bhi kum na hai. I am sure he is not going to let Swara come down today. (made weird faces) Baaki bhagwan ji ki marzi...

Parineeta : (chuckled) No Chachi ji. Actually Sanskar devar ji is going to take Swara out today.

Sujata (narrowed her eyes) : Really? How do you know?

Parineeta (shrugged) : I think Devar ji told Adarsh.

Annaporna (smiled) : Really? Where are they going today?

Uttara (cried) : To Mall, I think! I heard them talk.

Sujata : (grinned) Na jijji, mene aap se na kaha tha ki mhara chhora hai hi itna samajhdar. Mhare liye kaam aasaan kar diya. Till the time they are out, we can do the preparations for today's function.

Annaporna (chuckled) : Okay. Now I suggest we shall stop our ranting here only. We have better things to do. Our husbands are eagerly waiting for their breakfast and here we are chit-chatting about silly things. Let's get back to work.

And with her statement, everyone chuckled before getting back at work. They had many things to do today!

The time Swara and Sanskar had in the breakfast table was unforgetful.

The first thing they remembered was Laksh and Ragini's constant teasing. And then the chatterbox of the family's constant ranting. His mother was no less than a chatterbox. Sanskar even said that Sujata should be kept at a museum which made his mother shoot deadly glares at him and the entire family's laughter. And at last, DP's announcement that Swara and Sanskar had to return earlier from the mall as they had arranged a function for them. Sanskar had informed everyone at the breakfast table that he was taking Swara to a Mall and the two would spend some time there. The family was ecstatic and their broad smiles plastered on their faces explained that they were not only 'happy', as they claimed to be, but something much more cooked in their minds.

Time changed so quickly, and so the people around them... It was a happy family just like before...

Swara was wearing the diamond kangans which Sanskar had given her and at last, applied the pious sindhoor on her maang. She smiled sighing looking at herself infront of the mirror.

For a change, she was wearing a long pink suit that went well with her silver earrings. To complete her look, she circulated her mangalsutra around her neck but faced a problem while joining the hooks. That's when she felt a hand around her fist and she looked at Sanskar through the mirror who was behind her, smiling at her efforts.

Swara : Sanskar?

Sanskar (smiled) : Wait. I will do it. Nevertheless, I must be the one doing it.

Swara let her hands down and Sanskar joined the two hooks of the mangalsutra together. She smiled and stared at him through the mirror. Wearing a black T-shirt and a purple blazer with black denim jeans, the watch which she gifted him around his wrist, Swara surely lost herself in him again. She wouldn't say it aloud but he really looked cute in this outfit.

Sanskar : You know, you have given me another gift on this day, too.

That made Swara come back to her sense and she frowned. "What?"

Her cheeks turned slightly red as Sanskar back hugged her, staring at her through the mirror. He slowly raised his hand and pointed towards the mirror. "This!"

Swara stood surprised. Could this man give her anymore goosebumps? She stared at their reflection which Sanskar said was his another special gift. He still stared at her and quickly kissed her cheek, making Swara's senses tingle. Her lips curved into a broader smile and Sanskar hugged her even more dearly.

Swara : (leaned against his cheek) I love you too, my dearest husband!

After a few moments, they broke their hug and Swara beamed at him. "Are we going out now?

Sanskar : Yes, we are. Let's make this day memorable, shall we?

Swara : (smiled shaking her head) Yes.

And with that, they left the room, descending the stairs holding their hands, going to create another memory in their lives!

It had been four hours already since Swara and Sanskar were spending time at the Acropolis Mall, the most well known Mall of the city of Kolkata. Initially, Swara and Sanskar shopped for some new clothes for themselves, especially for Swara, as Sanskar bought some new sarees for her and buying himself some outfits, too. They spent a gala time everywhere they went.

After an hour of shopping, they enjoyed ice creams at the ice cream stand in the last floor of the Mall that was, the food area. They enjoyed like there wasn't any tomorrow but at the same time showed their love for each other.

Happy times...

Then, they enjoyed a two and half hour movie at the Theatre, sometimes getting closer to each other in the darkness of the theatre room.

Today was one of the best days of their lives and they were going to cherish this day forever!

After watching the two and half hour movie 'Loveyatri' at the Theatre, satisfied and now very tired, Swara and Sanskar walked out of the theatre, his arm around her shoulder and Swara chuckling as she recalled some funny and cute scenes and telling Sanskar how she really felt about them, to which Sanskar just responded with a smile. She smiled as she stared at him. Having an entire day with Sanskar after a while was worth cherishing. Spending each and every second, minute, hour and day with him was more than precious to her and she loved every minute she spent with him!

Sanskar : It was really a nice movie! But now... I am honestly tired and hungry.

Swara (sighed deeply) : Even I am hungry. I am feeling like rats are dancing in my stomach.

Sanskar : Actually, even I am hungry. Let us go to the cafeteria and have lunch. After this we will go home. We have nearly spent a day over here. It's almost 5 pm.

Swara (smiled) : But it was worth it, Mr Maheshwari.

Sanskar (smiled nodding his head) : You are right, Mrs Maheshwari. Now let us go!

Swara laughed as they stepped on the escalator.

Having a perfect 'Happy Meal' from the Mc Donalds in the wide food court, Swara and Sanskar were sitting on their dining table, enjoying the meals to the fullest. Well, looks like this was their 'lunch' for today!

When Laksh messaged Sanskar asking him when they would be back, Sanskar replied him saying that they were having their lunch in the cafeteria of the Mall and would be back home after their lunch. Laksh said it was okay, considering that everyone else in the family was okay too.

Sanskar : I wonder why are they calling us so early... Even though mom said they had arranged a function for us...

Swara : Then we need to hurry up Sanskar, if Mom and Badi Maa are calling us. (scolded him) Look at you! You haven't even finished eating your lunch.

Sanskar looked at his meal which lied untouched and he pursed his lips in regret.

Swara : Come on, eat it now or should I feed you by my hands!

Sanskar (teased her) : Well, I'll be more than happy if you...

Swara (hit him) : Sanskar! We are in public.

Sanskar (holding his arm) : Sure. We are in public. Let people see you doing pati shoshan.

Swara (scolded) : SANSKAR!

Sanskar (raised his hands) : Okay.. okay.. I am sorry. I am eating now.

Swara (narrowed her eyes) : Good.

Sanskar Maheshwari quickly completed his lunch to save himself from the wrath of the Swara Maheshwari. On the other hand, Swara chuckled looking at him. Well, he seemed scared of her!

Swara (laughed) : You are looking so cute eating like this!

Sanskar was about to finish the last finger chip but stopped as he heard his wife's words.

Sanskar (narrowed his eyes) : I am not cute. How many times do I have to tell you?

Swara (smiled broadly) : Well, you are cute. I can't help it!

Sanskar shaked his head knowing he would waste his energy on arguing over it. Swara giggled and rested her cheej on her palm, watching her droolworthy husband as he was completing his meal like an obedient child.

Just then, Swara's eyes spotted some kind of figure somewhere behind Sanskar and as she tried to see it, her eyes remain focused there.

A little girl standing faraway at a distance...

Wiping her face with her little hands...

It looked like she was crying. Swara looked confused. As soon as Sanskar finished eating, he looked at Swara only to find our she was watching somewhere else anxiously.

Sanskar : Swara? What happened?

Swara (kept her hand on his) : Sanskar.. See that little girl. She is standing there.

Sanskar shaked his head in confusion before turning around only to find the one Swara was watching.

Swara : Do you also think that she is crying?

Sanskar looked at her for some time more and then looked at Swara.

Sanskar : Haan, I think so.

Swara : She is crying!

Sanskar (nodded his head) : Yes. Come let's go and check.

And with that, Swara and Sanskar gathered their things with him and walked towards a little girl who was wiping her eyes every now and then, looking everywhere. She looked like she was just three or four year old girl. Swara and Sanskar exchanged looks before Swara tapped the girl's shoulder.

Swara : Beta.. what happened?

Sanskar : Haan.. aap ro kyu rahe ho?

The little girl looked at the two people and got a bit scared seeing strangers talking to her. Swara smiled before squatting down in front of her.

Swara : Why are you crying, princess? And where are your mummy papa?

Girl (nodded her head crying) : I don't know where mumma is. I can't.. (sniffed) I can't find her anywhere.

Swara got up looking at Sanskar with anxiety and Sanskar looked at the girl.

Sanskar : Aapka naam kya hai beta?

Girl : A-Anu.

Swara (cooed) : Anu.. can you tell us where did you last see your mumma?

Anu (cried) : I.. don't know..

Sanskar : Hey it's okay, stop crying. We will help you find your mother. Now stop crying. Good girls don't cry.

Swara (looked at him) : Sanskar.. how should we start? If we had her phone number or something, we would have called her.

Sanskar : You are right Swara. But we need to do something...

Swara and Sanskar were thinking when suddenly Anu looked at them...

Anu : Actually.. I have..

Swara (looked at Anu) : You have?

Anu : It.. it is on my school ID card. Will you call my mumma and tell her where I am?

Swara (smiled) : Of course, princess. Can you please show me your ID card?

Anu took out her school ID card from her bag slowly and handed it to Swara. She smiled.

Swara : Sanskar, I'll call her and tell her that her daughter is here in the cafeteria!

Sanskar nodded his head and Swara fished her mobile out of her pocket before dialing the number on the school ID card. She held the phone against her ear, looking at Sanskar and Anu simultaneously.

Swara : Anu, I'll give the phone to you as soon as she picks it up. Okay?

Anu nodded and Swara still waited for the receiver to pick the phone. She sighed happily when the call was received.

"Hello?"

She heard a female voice and she immediately held it against Anu's ear.

Anu : Mumma.. (cried)

"Anu! Where are you beta??? I am finding you here. I told you not to leave my hand!"

Anu (cried) : I.. I am sorry, Mumma.

"Where are you? And from whose phone are you calling?"

Anu did not say anything and handed the phone back to Swara. She held it against her ear.

Swara : Ahh.. hello, ma'am. Actually, your daughter is with us. My husband and I saw her crying in the cafeteria. She gave us our school ID card and after seeing your number, I called you.

"Oh, thank you so much. You don't know what favor you have done..."

Swara (smiled) : It's okay, please don't thank me.

"I'll come there right now! Till then, please stay with my daughter? I can trust you."

Swara (smiled nodding her head) : Okay. You come here fast. We are there with her.

After cutting the call, Swara smiled at Sanskar and then Anu. "Beta, your mumma will be here. Don't worry!"

Anu : Hmm.

After a few minutes, Swara and Sanskar had given Anu and ice cream to cheer up her mood and she ate it like it was her most precious possession.

Kids are really innocent souls...

After a few minutes, a young lady came upto them, and Anu went running to her mother crying. She was finally here! She hugged her mother and her mother cried hugging her back too.

Anu : I was so scared.. Mumma..

Mother : Why did you leave my hand, Anu? Pata bhi hai mai kitna dar gayi thi!

Anu (broke the hug and held her ears) : Sorry.

Swara and Sanskar smiled as the little girl finally found her mother. The woman thanked Swara and Sanskar continuously. "Thank you.. thank you so much! Thank you so much for helping my daughter and be with her!"

Anu (chirped) : Yes Mumma! They helped me find you.

Swara (smiled) : The pleasure is all ours, ma'am. And I must say, your daughter is very adorable.

Saying this, Swara cutely pinched Anu's cheek and the little bundle of joy giggled.

Sanskar : Yes, and if we don't help each other then who will?

Woman (smiled joining her hands) : Thank you so much to both of you once again.

And with that, the woman took the little one in her arms and the girl waved towards Swara and Sanskar. "Bye Didi! Bye Bhaiyya!"

Swara and Sanskar waved back at her before turning and smiling.

Swara : I am so happy Sanskar, that she finally found her mother. And she is so adorable and cute!

Sanskar smiled but not before putting his arm around her shoulder.

Sanskar : Waise Swara.. you will see, one day even we will have an adorable princess like her! (challenged her and teasing her) You will see.

Hearing the statement, Swara's entire being went completely haywire as she stared at her not so sanskaari husband.

Swara : Sanskar! Tum na.. sachchi!

Sanskar smiled chuckling and Swara indicated to him that it was almost over 6 pm. "Abhi na ghar chalte hai or else Mom and Badi Maa will tell us to stay outside only!" She said before pulling Sanskar's arm and leaving the cafeteria.

Swara and Sanskar came back home only to see the shocker awaiting them.

The entire Maheshwari Living Room decorated in a beautiful way... They couldn't believe their family put so many efforts on them while they were away. Maheshwari family were fully dressed in traditional+modern attire... The two absolutely dumbfounded people looked on as their family members came forward to greet them.

RagLak : SURPRISE!

Uttara : A function on account of your first marriage anniversary!!!

AdPar : Congratulations on completing a year!

Swara (smiled nervously) : But.. this.. all this..

Sanskar : Mom.. Badi Maa.. seriously? You all did so much for us?

Sujata : (glared at her son) Now you shut up. Ab thaare liye kuch karne keliye humlogo ko thaare se puchhna padega ke!

Sanskar blinked unbelievably at her words and Swara gaped. Before he could even say anything, here began Sujata's constant complaining spree and everyone took it as their entertainment.

Sujata : Na ke je aaj kal ke chhore Jijji! Now we have to ask them if we can do something for them. Na je zamana hi badal gaya hai ab toh!

Sanskar : (screamed to stop her) Mom! Stop, please.

Sujata : See!!! Now he is even screaming on me. Are you seeing it Jijji?

Sanskar : I did not mean it that way. You are taking it wrong. I was saying that you guys put so much efforts for us, so we.. you know. But we loved it! And we are very grateful to you all! Thank you so much.. Mom, Papa, Bade Papa, Maa.. Uttara.. and everyone.

Sujata : Accha.. then..

DP : Please stop it Sujata. Now are you going to make our kids stand here only? It's their party only and we are making them only stand here like this. (smiled) Guests might be arriving any minute so I guess we should tell then to go and get ready.

Annaporna : (chuckled) Yes, you are right! Swara, Sanskar, both of you go and get ready. We have kept your dresses for the day. And yes, both of you have to spark today!

Ragini (beamed) : Come fast Swara! Maa and Papa will also be coming! We will wait for both of you.

Swara (smiled) : Okay..

The family dispersed to make other preparations and Swara and Sanskar stared at each other in disbelief... The shocker surprise they just received was hard to overcome!

Mishka (beamed) : Thank you, Papa!! But where are Swara Maa and Sanskar Papa? I want to give them my handmade greeting card.

Ragini (smiled) : They will come soon. They are getting ready right now. For the being time, keep your greeting card properly so that it doesn't get spoilt.

Mishka grinned and nodded her head before running from there somewhere else. Ragini and Laksh exchanged smiles with each other...

Swara and Sanskar descended down the stairs slowly and everyone in the living room turned to look at both of them. Swara was wearing a long red and black lehenga, her hairs set in a puff hairstyle. To say that she was looking like a gorgeous angel would be an understatement! On the other hand, Sanskar was wearing a navy blue jacket sherwani, his hairs handsomely pulled in one side, looking extremely handsome...

Everyone looked at the couple of the day and as soon as Swara and Sanskar landed on the last stair, Mishka came to them running.

Mishka (happily) : Happy anniversary Swara Maa and Sanskar Papa!!!

Both of them smiled at their little kid as Mishka handed them her gift.

Sanskar : This...

Mishka : I made this greeting card especially for both of you!!

Swara (kissed her cheek) : Thank you sooo much Mishka! We loved it!

Mishka smiled happily and Swara and Sanskar exchanged smiles with each other before Swara went to meet her family...

Swara (hugged Sharmishtha and Shekhar) : Kaise ho Maa.. Baba?

Sharmishtha (smiled) : I am fine Shona. And what about you?

Swara : I am veryyy happy!

She looked at Sanskar and they broke the hug. Sanskar took both of their blessings and Shekhar hugged him.

Shekhar (to SwaSan) : God bless both of you, beta. You are the best for my daughter and I am so proud of both of you.

Sanskar smiled nodding his head and Swara smiled looking at him. Swara and Sanskar spent some time with Ragini, Laksh and the others as they mingled with each other, blessing Swara and Sanskar for their beautiful future together.

Swara was standing a bit away until a music brought freshness and glory to the atmosphere and she couldn't help but let all her excitement flow through her reaction as Sanskar started swaying on the music along with some other men behind him... And the rest of the members looked on with happiness etched over their faces... Swara smiled broadly as Sanskar joined the dance expressing his enthusiasm...

As soon as the dance finished, the intensity of Swara's dizziness increased more. She held her forehead, tried taking in a deep breath but she felt shortness of breath too. What was happening? She tried focusing on her vision but in vain. Everything around her became blur, everything around her spinned, and she could hardly see Sanskar because darkness was slowly engulfing her as her vision was turning darker... The last thing she could do was utter the name of the person she trusted the most in this world...

Swara : Sanskar...

And she fell down sideways after her body completely gave up and she held her head, before getting unconscious...

Hearing the sound, each and every person's head snapped towards the direction only to see Swara lying on the ground with her eyes closed. Everything came into a halt. Ragini and Laksh's eyes widened. Sanskar was shocked to the core!!! Ground beneath him shaked as his heart sank seeing Swara like this... Everyone was shocked.

Sujata : (shouted) Swara!!!

And Sujata's voice instantly brought everyone back from their shock and Sanskar was the first one to break.

Sanskar : (in shock) Swara!

And right at that moment, each and every person was near Swara. Sanskar immediately took her head on his lap as he tapped her head slightly...

Sanskar : Swara...

Ragini : Swara open your eyes.. Swara!!!

Sharmishtha : (paniced) Swara!!!

Annaporna : What's wrong! Swara... How did she faint like this!

Sujata : Je ke ho gaya chhori ko.. Subah toh thikh thi!!!

DP : This won't do. (looked at Laksh worriedly) Laksh beta, call the doctor this instant. I think Swara needs to get checked.

Laksh immediately nodded his head and dialed a number on his phone without any word. Uttara immediately hurried towards the kitchen.

Sanskar (patted her cheek) : Swara.. Swara aankhen kholo apni.. Kya hua tumhe.. Swara! (sadly) I should have known it before. She was not well.

Laksh : Bhai.. please calm down. She will be alright. Doctor is on his way. He will tell us what happened to her.

Sanskar : Hmm..

Sharmishtha shaked her a bit uttering her daughter's name but still Swara did not open her eyes. And Sanskar's patience finally gave up and he started panicking.

Sanskar : SWARA!!!

Uttara came running from the kitchen and handed the glass of water to Sanskar. He handed it to Sharmishtha and Sanskar delicately caressed and cupped Swara's cheeks as Sharmishtha sprinkled some drops of water on her face. Swara twitched her nose slightly, finally showing some reaction...

Swara : (mumbled) Sans... Sanskar...

Sanskar : Swara...

Annaporna : She got up!
