Trees in summer are 'Magnificent,'
So stately, grand and tall.
Although I have a favourite,
I have a passion for them all.
Spruce, Oak, Sycamore and Scots Pine,
And the one I love most, small leaved Lime.
Their trunks so different, yet the same.
Some are gnarled and some are plain.
Walking through trees brings a certain calm.
To any tortured soul a soothing balm.
They lift my spirits to the sky
and make me feel that I could fly!
The green leaves of the summer,
Yellow, red and gold in fall.
Whatever shape or size they are
they can captivate us all.
Patterns, chiselled on the bark,
But not by a sculptor's hand.
A tree can bring such loveliness
to any patch of land.
The glory of their structure
brings me to my knees.
I'm singing 'Alleluia'
For the 'Magnificence' of trees!
