Buster was on the phone with Eddie, telling him about what was going on outside the theater. Once he hangs up, he turns to Miss Crawly and Jenna.

Buster: "This is it Miss Crawly! You and Jenna get your tails downstairs and throw those doors open wide!"

They do that. Meanwhile, the line continues to grow. Inside the theater, many animals at the front of the line wait to get on the stage. Buster's jaw drops at the sight.

Balto: "I think you nailed it this time, sir."

Auditions begin. We see three shrimp singing Crazy In Love by Beyoncé. A pig in a gold suit, named Gunter sings Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. Three frogs sing Jump by Van Halen, and the True Blue band sings their song Take Me Home.

While that was happening, Rosita was handing her 25 piglets their school backpacks. When she finished, she runs out of the house and heads for the theater.

Back at auditions, a sheep sings Kiss from a Rose by Seal, a group of cheerleading vixens, a quartet of elderly turtles sing I Love My Shirt by Donavan, and a bull named Richard sings Butterfly by Crazy Town.

Outside, a news reporting dog covers the action happening at the theater. He interviews a hippo.

Hippo: "Well Bob, I'm a lab technician for a leading pharmaceutical company, but I was born with a gift. And that gift is to sing!"

When he enters auditions, he sings Stout-Hearted Man by Shooby Taylor. But his gift of singing was not great. Next we see three bunnies singing Anaconda by Nicki Minaj while twerking. Lance and Ash audition with their song I Don't Wanna. Buster was impressed with how Ash performed. Afterwards, we see a llama trying to play guitar, but couldn't tune it correctly. Then we see parrots singing Lollipop by The Chordettes.

Meanwhile, Johnny tells his dad that he has to leave. He uses his skateboard to head for the Moon Theater. Meanwhile, Mike was being interviewed outside.

Mike: "Look, I'm sure you're gonna get a lot of namby-pamby animals in here saying things like "Oh it's not winning, it's to take the part that counts." Yeah yeah, not me, pal. I'm here to win. That prize, it's mine!"

The Chipmunks and Chipettes were standing behind him.

Alvin: "I think you're mistaken. It's our prize."

Mike: "Oh yeah? Says who?"

Alvin: "I did, now you watch us perform and we'll beat you to that money!"

Simon: "Alvin, stop."

Alvin and Mike begin arguing. Folks in the line pull them away from each other to stop it from escalating.

Inside the theater, an alligator sings The Humpty Dance by Digital Underground, a beaver sings 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton, a kangaroo holds her joey to the microphone and she sings The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats. A group of spiders sing The Ketchup Song by Las Ketchup. A camel named Pete does opera.

Carla sings What is Love by Janelle Monáe. A snail named Ray sings Ride Like the Wind. Pedro and Nico sing Fly Love. Roberto sings Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars. A giraffe named Daniel sings Ben by Michael Jackson. Then Johnny sings Stay With Me by Sam Smith.

Buster: "Wow! Thank you Johnny."

Balto: "Very impressive."

Johnny smiles, then walks off the stage

Miss Crawly: "Okay, next up, we have Meena."

Johnny (to Meena): "Good luck out there!"

Meena walks on stage and knocks the microphone down. She apologizes.

Buster: "Oh it's okay. It's alright. Take it away Meena!"

Music begins playing, but she couldn't sing because she was too shy. Before doing anything, she was pushed off the stage by Mike.

Mike: "Enough of that! That's enough of that! That's it! Come on. Off the stage. Go on, you're useless. Thanks. Right, here we go. Hit it!"

He throws his cap on Buster and it lands on his head. He begins singing Pennies From Heaven by Frank Sinatra. Buster, Balto, Jenna, and Miss Crawly liked it. The Chipmunks backstage watched in disgust.

Brittany (scoffs): "What a jerk!"

Eleanor: "Poor elephant couldn't get a chance."

Theodore: "I think he's pretty good."

Simon: "Theodore."

Theodore: "What?"

Alvin: "Alright fellas, get ready. We're going on anytime now!"

Outside, Meena walks away from the theater. She kicks a tree, but the leaves fall on her.

The Chipmunks and Chipettes sing their own song Home. Buster couldn't believe that the Chipmunks and Chipettes were actually performing on his stage.

Then Rosita came on the stage.
"You just gotta ignite the light,
And let it shine.
Just own the night,
Like the 4th of July.
'Cause baby you're a firework!"

At sunset that day, the line was gone, and everyone had finished auditioning. By then, Buster, Balto, Jenna, and Miss Crawly were exhausted.

Miss Crawly: "Okay, that's everyone, Mr. Moon."

Jenna: "That took longer than expected."

Buster: "Phew. Alright. Call everyone back to stage Miss Crawly and let's get..."

Miss Crawly talks in the megaphone next to Buster. "Hello, uh, can I have everybody back to stage please. Everyone come back to stage for selection."

Buster: "Okay, thank you Miss Crawly."

Miss Crawly talks to Buster using her megaphone. "You're welcome, Mr. Moon."

Balto: "Okay, you can put that thing down."

Everyone who auditioned stands at the stage nervously. Wondering who would be the lucky few. Buster sees them and paces back and fourth on the stage.

Buster: "I'll take... You guys!" He points to the three frogs. They scream in excitement.

Buster: "And you little guys." He points to the Chipmunks and Chipettes. They high five each other.

Buster (to Lance and Ash): "And which one of you is the girl?"

Ash: "Haha. Very funny."

Buster: "Loud and horrible, but shows promise. Welcome to the show!"

Lance: "Cool, I guess we can hang."

Buster: "No, no. I just want her, not you."

Lance and Ash: "What?"

Buster: "You guys are good." He selects Pedro and Nico. They both exclaim "Yes!"

Buster: "And you three." He points to Bodi, Darma and Germur. They jump with joy.

Buster: "Alright, the rest of the group acts, thank you so much."

They get upset. Buster tries cheering them up by offering a discount for the show."

Lance: "Let's get out of here, Ash."

She doesn't respond at first. When he calls her name again, she follows.

Ash: "Bodi, we're leaving."

Bodi: "Oh don't worry about me and the other two, we're gonna stick around for a while."

Darma: "We'll catch up later."

Buster: "Okay soloists. Johnny, Mike, Pete, Roberto, Carla, Richard, Daniel, and Ray."

All of them come forward.

Buster: "Mike! Wowza. Gotta have you in my show."

Mike: "Oh if you insist."

Buster: "And I'll take Pete."

Pete: "Ooh, yeah!"

Buster sees Roberto and Carla. "Are you two separate?"

Roberto: "For auditions, yes. But we're family."

Carla: "Actually, you're my Mom's friend, but that counts I guess."

Buster: "Well either way, you're both in!"

Roberto and Carla look at each other and smile.

Buster: "And one more. Let me see."

He walks behind Richard, and Richard farts on him. Everyone looks at him.

Richard: "Oh my gosh. I am so sorry."

He farts again. "Oh, what is wrong with me?"

Buster was grossed out. "Um, thanks for coming Richard."

Richard stomps on the ground in frustration. He accidentally steps on Ray. Ray screams.

Richard: "Oh my! Ray! Are you alright? Just hang in there Ray, I got ya."

He picks Ray up and runs out the theater while continuing to fart.

Balto: "Um, okay."

Buster: "Okay, then, I'll take, Daniel. Thank you Johnny."

Johnny walks away.

Buster: "Daniel, can you hear me? You're in the show!"

Daniel: "What? Are you talking to me?"

Buster: "Yes." He grabs the megaphone. "I was saying that you are in..." He stops talking to Daniel. "Oh geez, this is gonna drive me nuts. Johnny, get back here. You're in! (Megaphone) Thank you Daniel. Goodbye."

Daniel walks away while Johnny gets back on stage.

Buster: "Okay, that's everyone on my list!"

The rest get upset and leave.

Balto: "Hold on, sir. You're missing a few people."

Buster: "Hmm, you're right. Is Rosita still here?"

Rosita: "Yeah, yes I'm here."

Buster: "Rosita, Rosita, Rosita, great set of pipes, but boring to watch. So what should I do, I could partner you up with Gunter. Gunter, where are you?"

Gunter runs back towards Buster.

Buster: "Yeah! It's gonna spice things up on stage!"

Rosita: "Wait, you want us to sing together?"

Gunter: "Yeah! Are you joking me? We're going to be spicy! No?"
