Darryls POV:

I looked down at Zak, who had fallen asleep. I couldn't kill him. I couldn't bring myself to do it . . .

Zak was right. I didnt want to kill anymore people. I was done killing.

I carefully took my phone out of my pocket, trying my best not to disturb Zak.

I clicked on contacts, swiping down to my bosses contact. I clicked on it. I then began to type out a message.

"I'm sorry, boss. I cannot fulfill the mission this time. I hope you understand."

I knew I wouldn't get the money, but I didn't care anymore. I sent it to him, closing out the tab before putting my phone back into my pocket.

I looked back down at Zak once more. I pat the smaller. He was adorable in his little diamond form.

I smiled.

That was when I got a notification from my phone. I took it out of my pocket again. I had gotten a message from my boss.

"Why not?"

"I just can't anymore. I am sorry, boss. But I am calling off this mission. I can't kill anymore innocent people. I just can't bring myself to do it . . . I cant kill my friend."
