Ward's POV:

I run upstairs and grab everything that Skye and I will need in the guest room.

I am VERY proud of Skye for coming up with that lie. She is a genius.

"You will never win this, Grant." Someone says behind me.

I turn around.

Christian.

"What makes you say that?" I ask with a scoff.

"Think about it. I have money, power, good looks, charm, and lips so soft that, when she kisses them, she will think she is kissing a cotton candy." He says with a smirk.

"Skye loves me..." I say in an unsure tone.

"Maybe. But I have a plan. I very simple plan. And once I do it, she will love me much more than she loves you. She will walk out of this apartment with her arm around my shoulder, and she will not even bother to look back at you." He says, calmly.

I suddenly feel very uneasy. What if he is right? What if Skye won't love me anymore?

I walk out of the room and slowly head down the staircase, worried I might fall if I go to fast.

I enter the guest room and drop our stuff on the floor.

"Thanks Ward!" Skye chirps, grabbing her phone charger from the pile.

We both lay on the bed and get under the covers.

"S-Skye?......" I ask, nervously.

"Yeah?" She questions.

"Christian says that he has a plan to take you away from me. Would you ever let that happen?..." I ask, trying not to cry.

Skye immediately finds my hand and grips it, tightly.

"Never. Not in a million years. I love Grant Ward. Not Christian Ward. Grant Ward." She reassures.

I swiftly move her so that she is laying on top of me.

"War-" she tries to say, but I interrupt her with a kiss.

She kisses me, as well.

I gently stroke her back, but I hit a ticklish spot.

She pulls away from the kiss and giggles.

Her giggle is the most beautiful sound in the entire world.

She gives me a light kiss on the lips, and lays her head on my chest.

We both slowly drift off to sleep.

So, there is only going to be one real chapter left in this story. Then after that, I will do a short Epilogue chapter.

However, after the Epilogue chapter, I will post an author's note giving you two options for my next Skyeward story! I will start the one you pick immediately!
