Slime took a breath of the fresh, snow filled air, as he walked through a quiet path in a forest around the outskirts of Whiterun. Whiterun was a large town with Celtic style buildings, and had the beast mead in all of Skyrim.

Slime's faithful pet chicken, Poultry, followed him eating the occasional pine needle as he waddled.

Slime loved Skyrim, it's lush conifer forests, it's majestic mountains, and its beaches swarmed with horkers... Yep this was the life.

Poultry perked up, suddenly let out a confused cluck, and ran into a thorn bush excitedly. Slime whipped around, startled by the cluck, and the chicken was gone.

Slime called out, "Poultry!!! Where are you???" But no answer came. Slime noticed Poultry's foot prints trailing into the bush, so he followed.

Now, no ordinary traveler would climb through a thorn bush, but Slime wasn't an ordinary traveler. He was a dragon born, which meant armour was a must-have. He didn't usually have to use his sword either, apart from the occasional skeever infestation.

As the thorns harmlessly brushed against his steel armour, Slime noticed something, a smell of something burning.

He didn't seem too phased by this, because house fires were common in Whiterun, but something seemed different...

As Slime emerged from the bush, he realized something was very wrong. Not only was something on fire... The entire town was.

Slime noticed Poultry standing a few feet away from a burning house, clucking angrily as of the fire was an intruder.

Slime scooped up Poultry as villagers ran around screaming and occasionally yelling "DRAGON!!!!"

Slime thought this was absurd, dragons haven't been seen in Skyrim for thousands of years, boy was he wrong.

Suddenly, a large, black object swooped in from above Slime and landed on a nearby building.

Slime gasped in awe, but Poultry just stared, thinking it was just a large hawk. Could it be true??? Could dragons have returned to Skyrim?!

(Note: dragon language will be translated into English in this book.)

As Slime's eyes focused on the shape he could see that it was in fact a dragon... A VERY big dragon.

The dragon roared, spewing flames into the air before stopping to look at Slime.

"I am Alduin," It hissed, "and I am here to destroy you human filth!!!"
