> Chapter 4.

{Y/N}'s POV

The tension was here.

Private battle between a shared team, just madness.

Even as a spectator, it's exciting, which is rarely the case with me and if I can then join, then it's going on.

The countdown went down and when a "GO" was screamed through the speaker, they ran at a speed I had never seen before.

It was a dream, better than a movie, and I looked at each one of the four closely as if I needed to identify them.

They were fast and immiadetly with such an amazing speed towards the middle of the battlefield.

And now the best, the little fights between two Inklings.
Until now nobody was splatted and it was pure excitement.

Half the time was already over and the floor was already completely inked in one of the two colors.

Lyvader-Kun then took the first step, approached the girls closer and then, thanks to his good range weapon, was able to hit them perfectly, thus spatting both.

Lyvader-Kun and Inkfall-Kun nodded at each other and ran separate ways, into the opposite side of the Walleye Warehouse.

A clever tactic ...
They want to trigger pressure and storm the enemy, and only when the whole team has been cleared out of the way, as it was the case now.

I got up from my seat and went a bit to the right side, because I no longer saw her from the middle.

But the two girls still didn't give up, no, not at all because as they respawned they colored a tad on the surface until they both shimmered slightly and had their special weapons ready.

Hat-Chan took the Tenta Missles and searched for Inkfall and Lyvader-Kun, who apparently hid in their color, because I couldn't see them anymore aswell.

But suddenly Hat-Chan stopped, grinned wide and shot off the Tenta Missles.
And how I could see the future, the two lurked behind the central container of the Walleye Warehouse.

Quickly they swam away and had to come out of the ink, because around the middle wasn't far colored the ground.

At that moment, Arrow-chan threw a curling bomb across the middle so that they both could follow the inked track as a squid.

They did this and were pretty quick by their team members, who getting splatted both from nearby.

First they went to Inkfall-kun and then both to Lyvader-kun because of harder damage.

It went fast and it was clear for the two girls.
But unfortunately, because of their weapons, which don't have the best rate of fire, it was a long time before they inked the center in their colour.

They were done, but as they wanted to go, the two were surprisingly here again.
The battle went on until it boomed through Walleye Warehouse and the time was up.

At that moment, all four took down their arms, hugged briefly for the good game, and then came up to me admiring the Team Inkfall with a still-lame expression on my face.

"{Y/N}? What do you say about this achievement?" Lyvader-kun asked proudly and the other three also looked at my answer curiously.
"Um, that was just ... AWESOME" I laughed aloud and took my {F/W} shortly afterwards.

I got up, approached the team and was ready to fight against them.
Inkfall-Kun nodded and saw it in my eyes.
"Well, {Y/N}, you'll replace me and then Lyvader-Kun will switch with Arrow-Chan. Let's go" the leader shouted, clapping his hands like a referee.

Inkfall-kun took my place and I followed Arrow-chan afterwards. Still, I wasn't tensed or excited, even though it's now likely to be my biggest experience.
But it will be even better tomorrow and I hope to be part of it, finally.

Anyway, we both stood on the respawn point, turned around and I stared fixedly at the loudspeaker hanging on the wall. The countdown went down, I looked at Inkfall-Kun, who showed me both thumbs up, with a big smile.

"GO" it shouted and Arrow-Chan instantly threw a curling bomb.
I noticed this and followed her to the middle as a squid, where the curling bomb blew up.

Behind me, I inked a large part of the area in our color, while Arrow-Chan waited patiently for our opponents who were coming.

I shimmered then, activating my special ability.
After this was over and no one hit, because Lyvader-kun and Hat-chan were too nimble and then splatted me.

"Shit, I risked too much" I mumbled disappointed to myself.
Unfortunately, I just couldn't resist and just have to have that feeling of splatting a strong member.
But unfortunately that went awry and still has to wait until I'll get it someday.

I inked the opening area while Arrow-Chan had to defend on her own and suddenly, she shimmered aswell and had her special ability ready.
From the very back, I saw Lyvader-kun and Hat-chan split and surprise my teammate from two different directions.

She saw this coming apparently, grinned to me and went into a ball, the baller.
She hopped around and rolled towards Lyvader-kun as a little extra revenge.

She was so far away that I decided to do a superjump and as I got to Arrow-Chan, her ball exploded.
Lyvader-kun was too close and was splatted by her.

Then it quickly dawned on me where Hat-chan was and looked for it together with my teammate.
When I briefly looked away, Arrow-Chan was splatted out of nowhere and now I was on my own.

I heard a light giggle and meanwhile, inked my way into my color, to make sure that she wouldn't show up in front of me.
At that point, I totally forgot about Lyvader-kun and concentrated on Hat-chan, which seemed to be a mistake, because suddenly I heard a throat clearing behind me.
"One thing you should know, newbie ... always check all your surroundings, especially ... behind you" he said with a laugh and pointed his Jet Squelcher at me.
It was too late to dodge and was splatted.

"Wow ... I can still learn a lot from them" I thought and ran again.
By the way, I also forgot the time and in that moment, where I paid attention to it again, it was just over and went into the middle.
"Good game, {Y/N}, you're better ... than I thought" he mumbled and Inkfall-Kun actually complimented me and made me feel welcome and honored.
The others nodded and proved their leader right.

I blushed slightly, but quickly shook my head that it went away and smiled at everyone.
"It's time to go ... We took longer than we thought, unfortunately I couldn't reserve this private room any longer, but I'm sure it'll be enough, because we trained too often this week" Lyvader-Kun said, who looked at his white watch.
But then, before we teleported back to Inkopolis Square, I thought of Team Emperor.
"Wait, what about the opposing team of tomorrow that still lurks out there?" I asked softly, and after I said that, all Team Inkfall team members stopped walking and stared at me.
"How do you know that they are still in Inkopolis Square?" Hat-chan asked and to this question, I found no answer.

I was quiet and looked slightly to the ground.
Then I looked up and saw that everyone was already gone. I teleported to Inkopolis Square and in the distance was already Team Inkfall talking and waiting for me.
I ran towards them and as they saw me, I glanced to one side and found that Team Emperor was gone.

Apparently they have lost patience or something.
No idea but that's a good thing and was kind of relieved.
But then I didn't pay attention, stumbled and fell carelessly on the floor, just before Inkfall-kun.
Regrettably, directly into a puddle and became dirty.

But the worst thing was that I splashed with my strength and hit even Inkfall-kun.

Now his white Norimaki were also dirty.

It was quiet and I got up immediately, apologized a thousand times and hoped for forgiveness.
But Inkfall-Kun and his team members stared at me and couldn't believe what was happening.

"NANI?" Inkfall-kun suddenly screamed, staring at his dirty shoes.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, really sorry, I sweaer" I said quickly, repeating this sentence until he dropped his Splattershot Pro and glared at me.

"You ... really ... dared ... it ...?" he asked in a deep voice.
I got scared and ran away, which I thought was a good idea.

Inkfall-kun ran after me, as expected, with an aggressive face expression and then the hunt began.

Before I ran away, I saw Arrow-chan, Lyvader-kun and Hat-chan shaking their heads with a sigh.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT, NEWBIE" he shouted after me and I almost cried with laughter, because that was kind of funny.

He heard this because he was slowly catching up and became more angry.

"TELL ME WHAT IS SO FUN, BECAUSE IN MY OPINION, IT'S NOT!" he ordered, increasing in speed, which was too fast for me.

At some point Inkfall-kun had done it and threw me to the ground, face down. He turned me over and saw my tear-stained face as I laughed out loud. "Stop ..." I whispered weakly and couldn't stop. It's really funny, that they freak out, only because of some stains. Really strange but entertaining Team, who likes to be clean.

"Clean it up now!" he said sternly, getting up and presenting his shoes.

I immediately stopped laughing and wondered why he was softening out of nowhere.
I got up off the floor, took out my spray and used it on his shoes.

Then I did the same with all my filthy gear and after a while everything was clean.

I looked up at Inkfall-Kun's face, who smiled broadly.

"Thank you, {Y/N}" he spoke softly and I blushed again.

Why?
If I'm in love with someone, it's the champion.

But unfortunately I can't show this publicly, otherwise I will lose my only friends.
After all, the two teams are enemies.

As I looked down, he didn't notice it and then pulled me up, straight to his face.

"Let's go now, you clumsy freshman and ... watch next time better" he grinned with a wink and we both ran back to Inkopolis Square.
"What was that ...?" I thought, stuttering.

After about ten minutes we reached the place and both saw how the rest of Inkfall-Kun's team stood there and got bored.
Finally they saw us and came towards us.
"Well, did you catch the fish?" Lyvader-Kun asked smirking.
Inkfall-Kun laughed and swung his arm around my neck.
"Of course ... I'm faster than anyone else and {Y/N} was so kind and cleaned up both of us" he said proudly, rubbing my tentacles as he pulled me towards him.
The whole team started laughing when they saw my confused face and they seemed to realize that it was all a bit too much for me.

Inkfall-kun let me go and thought for a moment. "What do we do now?" I asked and at the same time in the background watched as a green-yellow team to the Inkopolis tower to run.

"Oh, this is Rider's team, they somehow managed to qualify for the tournament" smiled Lyvader-kun as he realized how I was staring at the team.
"Let's watch them" I suggested, and everyone in Team Inkfall looked at me big.
"How?" Hat-Chan and Arrow-chan asked at the same time.
I pointed to the floor and as they followed my arm they saw a note and picked it up.
"Seems like Rider-Kun has lost something" Lyvader-kun laughed and we went back together to the Inkopolis tower.

"{Y/N}, now you see how it's done wrong" Inkfall-kun chuckled as he typed in the password from the note.

I was the only one who didn't laugh off for a single reason.
Maybe the whole team is wrong and they are better than themselves.

Why I made the proposal is easy.
The more good teams I can watch, the more I can benefit from their skills, which will be good for my future.
