"Did he open it?" Kayla asks. 

"Yup...No response though" I sigh. 

"Who leaves there girlfriend on seen?" Kayla asks, rolling her eyes. 

"A boyfriend who is disappointed in his girlfriend...and who knows if I'll even be that by the time he talks to me again" It felt like my heart shut down while saying that. 

"You two are the second best couple in the school, behind Zach and I obviously, but trust me, Sam loves you, this is one fight...you two will be fine" Kayla assures "Now lets go cheer him on!"

My decision to tell Kayla was so I had a girl to talk to about it, she swore she wouldn't tell Emmet, and I trust her. 

I've known her for years, She's my best friend, she wouldn't tell Emmet if I didn't want her too. 

I nod and follow her out to the gym and up to Emmet. 

I sat between the two and looked over at our team, sitting on chairs and watching the match that was currently going on. 

Sam and I made eye contact and I smiled, he looked away and started a conversation with one of his teammates. 

"Is he mad at you?" Emmet asks. 

"Yeah...we got in a fight the other day" I sigh. 

"Don't worry, he loves you, he won't break up with you" Emmet shrugs. 

I look at Kayla and she shrugs "I didn't tell him" 

"You two didn't have to, I can tell there was something there" Emmet laughs "And no, I'm not mad about it, you two are adorable, besides, I have my sights on another guy" 

I follow Emmets gaze to see Ryan Paege. 

"Ryan's gay?" I ask. 

"He came out last week" Emmet smiles. 

"Oooo Go Emmet" Kayla laughs. 

"Both of you still can't tell people about Sam and I though, okay?" I ask. 

They both nod and we turn our attention to the floor. 

Sams match was next. 

And it didn't last long. 

"Nice try Sammy!" Kayla yells, watching him walk off. 

He was mad. 

I could tell.

"See Claire, he loves you" Emmet states.

"How does him losing show that he loves me?" I ask. 

"Jacob loved you, and when you two got in a fight, he totally sucked at football until you apologized and cleared things up" Emmet explains. 

"He's right" Kayla agrees

 "You are both crazy"

"So he's not coming to the wedding?" Aspen asks. 

"I have no idea, but I'm guessing he's not, I don't think he believes that I pulled away from Jacob right away" I explain. 

"That is garbage" Aspen states "I'm sorry" 

"Yeah...Me too" 

Aspen and I were currently on a "Prep day" 

We are getting our nails done, then going out to eat. 

We drove into the city to do so to.

I told her all about Sam. 

How we decided to date, and our previous fight.

After the meet, he left right away, ignoring  me, Kayla, and Emmet. 

Aspen called me in sick after finding out that I came home crying last night. 

My dad and Carlos were the only two home and they were not happy. 

Then we watched mama mia while eating ice cream. 

I soon forgot about Sam and fell asleep. 

"Maybe he'll surprise you" Aspen shrugs. 

"This isn't a fairy tale" I state. 

"Your book hasn't ended though, this is just one chapter, that also hasn't officially ended" She says, taking a sip of iced tea. 

"It's my life, not a book" I say, sharply. 

"But miracles happen" Aspen sings. 

I roll my eyes "Sure they do"
