A spirit floats around in the clearing. Her pelt is grey with small stripes hugging her small frame. The pelt although had a light mist to it like she would disappear in the light fog at any moment. She seemed frightened but in a odd bold kind of way, as if she couldn't decide if she should run, hide, or fight. Shes surrounded by cold stone that formes a dome far above her head. It had a small hole at the top letting the star's light shine through "Who is there." the spirit cat looked around a eery calm about her and her voice was slightly above a whisper but strong and daring. A shimmery figure even more see-through then the spirit below came down through the hole and floats silently down to the cold stone floor.

"A Starclan cat coming to visit I'm honored" the spirit answered the arrival of the starry cat with a sharp mocky tone. Once the Starclan cat faced her however she became pale all her before rudeness gone and replaced by pure shock.

"What a surprise I thought you nymphs were extinct "the tom Starclan cat answered amused. "It is nice to see you sister why are you here?"

"Nothing of your concern brother, although I would like to ask you the same question" the she-cat eyes pierced through her brother's soft loving ones like a hot flame to a thin layer of ice.

The tom sighed "I've been searching for you Shimmerspirit"

"Why!?" Shimmerspirt asked a hard edge to her tone" Why would you need me?"

"What has happened to your fellow nymphs is calamitous" the tom showed no sorrow even with his statement.

"We are not lowly nymphs we are spirits brother watch your tone" Shimmerspirit then became curious" And what does that have to do with me?"

"I have come to bring you to Starclan" The tom answered "Starclan also would like information on the other spirits."

"You know I can not do that brother" Shimmerspirit answered.

"And why not" the tom asked stubbornly.

"I'm on a mission the, Snowflake Prophecy to be exact" Shimmerspirit know remembering why she is in this realm looks around."I need to find the old pool of Hero"

"That thing isn't safe forget this dumb plan come with me" his voice hitched "come home"

"The stars isn't a home" Shimmerspirit eyes turned soft as she studied her brother's silvery pelt "Up there I'm alone" Her brother looked at her.

"Fine go" He lashed out angrily "Iv'e wasted enough time on you, go follow that broken pool. Who knows were it will lead you." Shimmerspirit nodded and floated away her head held high and her pelt disapeering in the fog.

"I know where it leads you" the tom whispered sorrowfully "It leads you away from me."

Shimmerspirit goes deeper into the cave each step she took her path getting darker.
"Show me the path we're heros have fought. Show me the path that heros walk. For I walk we're heros do not ." As if answering her call a bright blue light shown from a little while away. Shimmerspirit approached it cautiously her eyes flashed with fear.
The pool was a musty blue making it impossible to see the bottom. It's surface shimmered full of stars as if the night sky was reflecting off of it. Shimmerspirit glanced up and was faced with just hard stone.

"There is no hole to the outside how would the stars reflect off of this pool's surface." Shimmerspirit beamed a burst of happiness making her lantern shine brighter."This must be it." Once the shock wore off she stared at the pool frowning.

"Uhhhh hi Pool of Hero" Shimmerspirit crept closer to the pool looking in " I need you to find someone who can help me fulfill the Snowflake Prophecy."
The surface of the pool became dark blue as if it was plunging into deeper waters. A colorful reef whisked past.

" We are going underwater?" Shimmerspirit moved closer intrigued. The image on the pool slowed down and approached a small cave. Inside was a clear blue egg, it was rather large and decerated with small swirls that glittered on the outside. Inside was a curled up creature. The top of it was a white cat with big paws but the bottom was a silvery white fish tail.

"What is that " Shimmerspirit gasped. The pool went back to its light blue muskiness the stars shining brightly. "No there must be more!" Shimmerspirit leaped into the water as if trying to chase the image. Near the bottom was a stone that was a light gray contrasting with the dark gray stone floor it laid on.

Shimmerspirit reached for it trying to grab the slippery smooth surface. With a desperate grasp she got ahold of the stone thrusting it out of the water and flinging herself with it . She gasped for breath clawing herself out of the pool. Shimmerspirit frantically got up and looked around. Her eye caught the pale grey of the stone she just retrieved from the pool. She dashed over to it snatching it off the ground.

Studying the stone she noticed it had odd images on it. One side was a fish cat thing and the other side was a cat on land. Connected to the stone was a chain like a kittypet collar.

"What are you" Shimmerspirit whispered. She tore her eyes off the stone and looked up. " I have to get this back to them"

Making a small portal with some of the ancient blood she had left behind she came into a clearing. It was another cave this one slightly smaller then the other. It had small cracks everywhere in it letting grass and weeds grow and wisps of wind. It was oddly dark not being lit by the many bright lanterns every spirit has or even by moonlight from outside.

" Brackenspirit" Shimmerspirit called. No one answered but the wind sweeping through the cracks and ruffling her unkept fur. Shimmerspirit opened her mouth lifting up her nose and closed her eyes." I smell smoke"

"I'd assume so " a voice pierced through the silent atmosphere. Two lights appear only steps away from her. Shimmerspirit gasped moving back.

"Hello" a deeper voice whispers from behind causing her to move to her right and look to the spot the voice came from. Where she was standing 2 lights appeared.

"Boo" a voice shouted from behind making Shimmerspirit run to the left and looked back to see all 3 pairs of lights creeping toward her. She moved to get away but was grabbed by something from behind.

"We meet again sister" the cave was instantly filled with moonlight.

The cave was filled with light from one big crack that covered a small corner of the cave. A dark seethrough cat stood beside it mud on his talons. He clawed some more mud from another crack letting more light in.

" You filled the cracks with mud so no light could get through... clever" Shimmerspirit eyes darted around searching for a exit and an escape plan. The cats had the same kind of body as a spirit but they had no lanterns in there chest. Instead they had lights in there eyes. There pelt had a dark tent to it opposite from Shimmerspirit's white tent to her own pelt.

" What are you doing here Shadows?" Shimmerspirit asked pointedly " Where are the other spirits." Suddenly Shimmerspirit eyes went wide. Realization hit her. One of shadows stepped to the side gathering a pile of dark balls with cracks. Shimmerspirit watched with horror as the Shadow pushed the pile of the dark orbs toward her. The orbs tapped her paws lightly.

" Yo-You distinguished all of them." Shimmerspirit started to pretend to cry " How could you" The Tom behind her loosened his grip slightly taken aback by her sudden sobbing fit. Shimmerspirit took the opportunity and wiggles of of his grasp. She went into the small pouch around her waist and used the last of the ancient blood to make a portal.
The Shadow closes to her leaped onto her rolling her over onto her back. She scratched severely at her lantern. Shimmerspirit gasped and went for the Shadow's left eyes scratching deeply. The Shadow roared jumping off of her knocking back another Shadow who was about to pounce Shimmerspirit as well. Clutching the stone around her neck Shimmerspirit jumped into the portal to the unknown.

Shimmerspirit fell out of the portal in a big heap it disappeared instantly. She was on a grassy ground for the first time in awhile. Looking up to see a huge pail white star in the sky. There were evergreens scattered everywhere. There pines reflected the sun's pale glow.

" I'm safe for know" Shimmerspirit glanced around each pinecone on the ground reminding her of her distinguished friends. A gush of wind blew a small pine cone toward her it landing on her right paw " Brackenspirit" her voice cracked slightly. Shimmerspirit's face twisted in pain as she yelled it felt like her chest burst into flames. Her lantern flickered. Once the pain passed Shimmerspirit inspected her lantern. It had a small crack in it.

" How am I still alive" the light flickered causing another yelp of pain it ran through the clearing making the pine cone get blown back a couple of paw lengths. " I can't fulfill my mission like this" She can't fulfill her mission with a flickering heart. Well not alone. The white fish cat appeared in her head. Shimmerspirit laid still eyes closed clutching the image of the cat." It's my last hope. For I have to make my ancestors proud. " She then touched the stone collar " And this odd rock is the first puzzle piece."

OMSC yes Snowfall's Winter is back and better then ever. Sorry it took me so long with this but I had to figure out where this story would be going. So I'm starting over completely. I'm also going to be adding art when I can (sorry for this drawing being so messy it was a last minute decision to add Shimmerspirit and her brother (by the way it was a old drawing I redid her brother doesn't have wings) Thank you for all of your support it's because of you that this story is even being made. I will update every two weeks but if I finish a episode early I'll publish it early.
