Snowkit, Silverfur, and Honey, walked around the camp clearing. This was their third day here and Snowkits hearing got better each day.
Silverfur and Honey told him about everything since the day Silverfur had found him.
Snowkit now realized why Silverfur had been so upset about seeing the two cats. The female had been her and Honey's birth mother, Quinn, who had left during a snow storm and never came back. They had assumed she had died but really she left to start a new family. She was never happy with her kits, Silverfur, Silver at the time, wouldn't eat until the other kits had eaten, Honey reminded her of their father, who had died just days before their birth, and their brother had died days after their birth.
"And why did Hazel make you leave?" Snowkit asked Honey.
"Hazel had met a new tom and saw me as a threat to her new kits that she would be having any day. She was afraid that I would influence them in some way," Honey mewed.
"That's Terrible," Snowkit mewed.
They continued walking for a little while, discussing things like why Silverfur was kicked out of River clan, how they would get him back to Thunderclan, what Honey would do.
Honey decided she would stay here with the healers, she wanted to learn all she could and she had taken a linking to Ash and Shyannes son June.
Snowkit looked at Silverfur.
"I'm ready to go home," Snowkit mewed.
Silverfur nodded, "ok."
Silverfur turned to her sister.

"Well Honey," Silverfur mewed, "You're sure you'll stay here?"
Honey glances at June, who is sitting at the edge of the clearing with his sister, Thorn.
"Yes," Honey mewed, "I like it here," she looks at June again, "maybe I'll even start a family."
Silverfur nodded, "I wish you only the best."

The two she-cats touch foreheads.
"Let's go say goodbye to Ash and Shyanne," Snowkit suggested.
"Maybe you could walk us to the border?" Silverfur suggested to Honey.
"I'd love to," Honey mewed.
Snowkit and Silverfur padded towards Shyanne and Ash's den to say goodbye.

"Where will you be going now?" Shyanne asks.
Silverfur looks to Snowkit, "I'll be taking this little guy home."

Snowkit looks back at her, no longer worried that he may not get home. There's no way she can sign her way out of this, he can hear now, he doesn't know for how long, but he'll use his hearing while it lasts.
