Medz's POV

"Alright, just in and out," Tbh said to Medz and himself reassuringly. Medz nodded, looking in front of the courtroom where everything went to ruin. He took a moment to think about what they were doing, and if this would even work, but he knew Tbh and him would figure this out. And so, with a nod to each other, they went inside the courtroom.
While Tbh went under to get Joocie, Medz went upstairs to distract Laff long enough for Tbh to get Joocie. After taking the teleportation platforms to the lobby, he saw Laff, making something that looked unclear from his view. Medz walked over to where Laff was, beaming a seemingly fake smile. "Hey, Laff. Watch a doin'?" He asked, walking to the room as he glanced at what Laff was making. Laff glanced at Medz, looking annoyed through his gas mask, "I'm just trying to upgrade some of the robots using a new robotic arm," He explained, showing Medz a robotic arm lying on a stand, crackling and buzzing. "Why?" Laff then asked, which startled Medz for a second, but he was able to respond in a few seconds, "Nothing. Just that as your 'assistant', I want to maybe help."
Laff just stood there, looking at him, then at his desk. He then turned his head to Medz and asked him something, something that Medz never knew Laff would ask. "Are you going against me?" After that sentence, Medz didn't know what to say, he just stood there. He then let out a forced laugh and said, "What are you talking about? Why would I need to do that?" Laff just looked at him, with a slight hint of disappointment in his eyes. He then walked closer to Medz so that he could hear Laff loud and clear, "I know what you've been doing, Medz. Don't you dare try and hide it." He said, with his ominous voice and accent.
Shit.
Medz just stood there, stumped and not knowing what to do. Because of this, he had just put everyone he loved in danger, and it was all his fault. He thought that Laff would kill him right at the spot, but he just sighed and said with no hesitation, "Some people. You will be able to see your friends under one condition," Medz snapped his head upward to see Laff's face... or gas mask I guess. "What..? Medz asked, which sounded somewhat sad and soft. "You have to send my robots to capture and take them to me." Laff finally told Medz, looking up at him as Laff put a remote controller in his hands. Medz didn't know what to do. If he agreed to Laff, his friends would be in danger and it would be his fault. But if he didn't, he would be killed, and he would die without a purpose. So, with a heavy heart, this is what he has to say,
"Well, fine. I accept."

Tbh's POV

Luckily, Tbh was able to find and get Joocie from under the courtroom. He waited outside to meet Medz, holding limp Joocie on his back. He took a moment to look up at the sky, it being dull and lifeless with only a hint of life in the sky. He reminded himself in his mind that once the war was over, things to go back to normal, how it was before.
After a few minutes left alone with his thoughts, he saw someone open the doors of the courtroom. "Medz! Thanks for distracting Laff I was able to get Joocie." Tbh spoke out, getting up. He glimpsed at Medz, and he noticed that he had a not-so-happy expression, like he was traumatized, looking down. "Medz?" Tbh asked, but no response. Tbh softly touched Medz's shoulder, which snapped him back to existence. "Oh! U-uhm.. I-I'm... fine?" Medz stuttered out, withdrawing back. "Are- are you sure? You don't look fine." Tbh said. Medz let out a laugh that sounded forced, "Yeah, I'm sure. It's just that.. uhm... Laff almost found out about everything." Tbh looked baffled, jerking back, "Oh... w-well, at least he didn't find out, right?" Tbh spoke, trying to sound like he wasn't afraid, but clearly wasn't working. "Uhm.. how about we not talk about it. Let's just go." Medz declared, taking the lead and entering the forest. Tbh soon followed.

After about three hours, they resided at a village to get a few things and to rest. It looked like a normal village, with houses, stores, and a bell, but it still looked dark, with thorns and cracks at the corners of the houses and stores.
Tbh, with his cloak, hid his crab claws and second pair of eyes, while Medz shape-shifted into to look like a normal villager. They were able to get a little house to stay in a house, which wasn't hard to get. Tbh was just talking with some of the villagers, which were about 4 to 5 people. As he was talking to the villagers, he couldn't get his mind off of what Medz said a while ago, about how Laff almost found out out everything. That topic is very serious, so he couldn't really get his mind off of it.
In the corner of his eye he saw Medz exit the house he was in as he was watching Joocie. "Hey, Medz! Come on and join us!" Tbh said, nodding his head towards the small crowd of villagers. Tbh saw as Medz started to get social with the other villagers, which made him happy that Medz was being happy during this time. Laff would probably find it about Joocie being missing, so this time would be great to just take a break from everything.
Then, before anyone noticed. There was a loud boom, then fire.
Tbh flew back, landing on multiple rocks and then landed in a lake. He didn't know what to do, everything happened so fast. He crawled out of the water, climbing the rocky wall as the top of his nose and his shoulder hurt horribly. He dragged himself upward and finally getting to see what had happened. Fire, everywhere, in every corner he saw the orange glow and radiation of the fire. He didn't want to believe this was happening as blood from the top of his nose trickled down, there was blood on his shoulder that was also trickling down his arm. All he did was stare at the fire, his eyes starting to water.
He then felt like being dragged backwards into the forest by someone. The person rested him on a tree trunk but he still saw the fire, his eyes were still watering, he felt like someone had grabbed his neck and started to choke him. His breathing started to get more quicker and out of control as his heart felt like it was going to explode. He still saw the fire, he still felt scared for his life, he wanted this to end.
He felt someone rest his hand on his shoulder, he looked to see who it was and it was... Medz. "Hey, it's okay. We're away from the fire." He said reassuringly. Tbh still felt like he was in the fire, but he remembered what to do. He felt the grass, he started to breathe normally. He looked around and started to see oak trees, he still felt slightly panicked, but mostly he felt better. He looked to his left and saw Joocie, which made him feel relieved that he was alive. He felt a small minor burn on his shoulder to neck, which wasn't bleeding, which was relieving.
Medz helped Tbh get up as he put Joocie on his back again. They walked deeper into the forest into the shadows, away from the fire, away from everything.

After about an hour of silent walking, Tbh asked, "Who... do you think started the explosion?" Tbh saw as Medz took a moment to think. He then answered, "Probably Laff. I've known give for a year and a half and he will find everything out." Medz didn't even look at Tbh's direction, he was just looking ahead. There was another 30 minutes of walking until they stopped and called Betsy. They got on Betsy as she nearly squealed, but she soon calmed down. After about another hour, they were able to get back to the cabin.
Tbh and Medz went inside the cabin, grabbed a first aid kit, and tended to theirs wounds, answering the questions from their worried friends. After tending to their wounds, Tbh dragged himself to his bed, which was a bunk bed, and laid on the bottom bunk. He sighed as he thought about everything. He was glad to be back at the cabin, as he slowly closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
