(The Goldenwing Circus)

"I've never been to the circus before" Split said. "This isn't just any circus Split, it's the goldenwing circus" Gwendal said. "The grandest most enchanted circus in all the world" Shadow said.

Phantom: 🎶The coolest circus in the kingdom is here🎶

Gwendal, Shadow and Phantom: 🎶And the tents are rising🎶

Shadow: 🎶They're filled with mystical, unusual things🎶

Gwendal: 🎶Like magical penguins,

Phantom: 🎶A tiger that sings🎶

Guards: 🎶A three-ring little show, that's not what this'll be🎶

Gwendal, Shadow, Phantom and guards: 🎶It's four rings of fun 'cause there's so much to see🎶

Split tried twirling a stick like ringleader twirl their batons, but the stick got lauched off and fell on the ground.

Man: 🎶Every circus has some elephants too,

Women: But here, they're gigantic, and purple and blue🎶

Maid: 🎶With dancing unicorns who enter on cue,

All(Except Split): As they're harmonizing🎶

Men: 🎶Up on the wire, elves are doing their tricks, but doing it blindfolded just for the kicks🎶

Gwendal: 🎶A tamer grabs a chair, and waves it everywhere,

Phantom and Shadow: Then dozens of dragons appear in thin air🎶

All(Except Split)(Except Gwendal, Shadow and Phantom): 🎶At the Goldenwing Circus, a huge, spectacular show, it's the Goldenwing Circus, the grandest circus I know🎶

Split, Gwendal, Shadow and Phantom ran in the castle and went to the throne room.

"The new stained-glass window looks outstanding Baileywick, can't wait to show it to Queen Miranda" King Roland said. "The Goldenwing Circus is in town, can we go dad? Can we? Please, please, please" Shadow begged. "Well, I don't see why not. Baileywick, can you please arrange tickets for today's show?" Roland asked. "Right away" Baileywick said and walked away. "Yay/Yes" Gwendal, Shadow, Split and Phantom all said. "We're going to the cirsus, Split, wait 'till you see it" Shadow said, took out some balls, and juggled them.

Gwendal: 🎶The jugglers juggle by, they juggle way up high(Roland: Shadow), they juggle and juggle, clear up to the sky🎶

All(Except Gwendal, Split, Shadow, Phantom): 🎶At the Goldenwing Circus, there's never a stumble of fall(Roland: Shadow!), it's the Goldenwing Circus(Roland; Shadow! Shadow!! Shadow! Not in the castle). Up here in the crowd, you'll hear the applause, the laughing and cheering is simply because it's the Goldenwing Circus🎶

All(Except Roland): 🎶The grandest circus of all🎶

(Shadow breaks the window)

After King Roland leaves, Shadow continues juggling. "Ok, now back to the show" He said. "Shadow, what are you doing? Dad said no playing ball in the castle" Phantom said. "I just want to show you one more trick" "But dad said-" Shadow cut Gwendal off. "Don't worry, it's as easy as one... two.... three" Shadow threw the balls up one by one, he caught two of them, but one bounced off the chandelier, the ground, and headed for Phantom, Gwendal and Split. They ducked and the ball broke part of the window, Phantom's face on the window. They all gasped. "No, the window" Split said. "My picture" Phantom said, then they all walked to the window. "I didn't mean to break it" Shadow said and looked at the window. "But I got good aim" He added. Phantom glared at Shadow. "Ohh, dad's not gonna like this" He said. "What do we do?" Gwendal asked. "We gotta go tell him" Split said and he, Phantom and Gwendal walked away, but Shadow stopped them. "Wait, you can't tell dad. If he finds out I broke a castle rule, he'll never let me go to the circus" Shadow said. "Oh" Split said. "It doesn't matter whether we tell him, he's going to see the window regardless" Phantom said. Shadow looked at the suit of armor behind them, then looked back. "Uh... not if we hide it, we can use that suit of armor to cover the window. Mom and dad will never see it" Shadow said. "I don't know" Gwendal said. "Please, I don't wanna miss the circus and the juggling jesters only comes once a year, pretty, pretty please?" Shadow begged. "Maybe we should help him" Gwendal said. "Yea, he really wants to go" Split said. "But he broke my part of the window" Phantom said. "Come on Phantom, I'd do it for you. Even if I don't want to, I'd still do it" Shadow said. "He really would" Gwendal said. "Alright. Fine" Phantom said. "Great, thank you" Shadow said. "Here, help me move this" Shadow, Gwendal and Split struggled to move the suit of armor while Phantom started to fan them. "Wish this armor wasn't actually made of armor. It's not moving" Split said. Shadow looked at Phantom, who was busy fanning them. "Phantom, you're not even pushing" Shadow said. "Hey, I'm at least fanning you to give you guys energy to move this thing" Phantom said in defense. "Phantom" Gwendal said. Phantom sighed. "Alright" He helped the others move the armor. "Rollie, can't you just tell me what the surprise is?" Miranda's voice was heard in the hallway. "Oh, you'll see" And so was Roland's voice. "Mom and dad are coming" Gwendal said. "What do we do?" Shadow asked. "Oh, I got it. Phantom, keep them from coming in" Split said. "Got it" Phantom ran off towards the hallway. "Hurry and cover up that window" He said. Shadow, Split, and Gwendal kept moving the suit of armor. "Just a few more steps and-" Roland was cut off by Phantom. "Hi Mom, hi Dad. I have a surprise. A new song I wrote on the harp, just for you guys" Phantom said. "And I can't wait to hear it, but first, I want to show your mother her surprise" Roland said. "But Dad, please" Phantom said, grabbing Roland's hand and starting walking away. "Uh.... I suppose the surprise can wait a little longer" Roland said. "Awesome. Let's go to the music room. Quickly" Phantom, Roland, and Miranda went to the music room. Gwendal watched until they were gone. "Ok, they're gone" He said. "Let's finish moving the armor" Shadow said. "Alright" Split said, and he, Gwendal, and Shadow finished moving the armor. "There" Gwendal said. He, Shadow, and Split looked at the window. "Wow, you can't even see that it's broken" Split said. "I told you guys, problem solved. Thank you" Shadow said, leaning on the knight's axe. It fell and made a huge crack in the window. "Oh god" Gwendal said. "Oh no, that was not supposed to happen" Shadow said. Meanwhile, Phantom was playing the harp, and Roland and Miranda were on the couch sitting across from him. Phantom finished his song on the harp. "That was called "Song for my Beloved Parents: Number One" Phantom said. "Good job/Well done" Miranda and Roland said. "Thank you, and now, "Song for my Beloved Parents: Number Two" Phantom started playing the harp again when Roland stopped him. "Uh..... I think it's time we go to the throne room" He said. "Oh yes, I've been told there was a surprise for me there" Miranda said. "And I want to show it to your mother before we all leave for the circus" Roland said. "So... Phantom, if you'll excuse us" Miranda and Roland walked away. "Wait, not yet. First, I have to show you....... my new crown. Please?" Phantom asked. "Oh, how could I say "no?" Roland asked. "It's very simple, really, I say it to the children all the time" Miranda said. "Oh, if you don't have time for me, I understand. I know you're very busy" Phantom said with fake sadness. "Oh, Phantom, I'll always make time for you" Miranda said. "Awesome, so you'll see my crown. It's in my room, come on, we can take the long way there" Phantom, Miranda and Roland went to Phantom's room. Gwendal, Shadow, and Split looked at the window. "It's all cracked. Now what do we do?" Shadow asked. "And now we tell Dad" Split said. "Wait, Split, there's got to be something else that we can try" Gwendal said. "Yea. We can cover the window with the curtain" Shadow said. "Dad will open it when he shows Mom the window" Split said. "Hmmm...... maybe we can get the royal glassmaker to make a new one" Shadow said. "I think that takes a while" Gwendal said. "Maybe Mr. Ceedric can fix the window with magic" Split said. "Great idea, let's go ask him" Shadow said, and he, Gwendal, and Split went to Mr. Cedric's workshop.

(Mr. Cedric gets in the window)

Gwendal caught the spellbook while Split caught Mr. Cedric's wand and Shadow and them looked at the window. "Oh no" Shadow said in a kind of high-pitched tone. "Oh... Mr. Cedric?" Gwendal asked. "At least you can't see the crack" Shadow said. "But you can see Mr. Ceedric" Split said. "This is just getting worse" Gwendal said. Meanwhile.... "Ruby Crown. No. Opal Crown. Also no" Phantom said, finding his 'new' crown. Then he picked up a crown. "Here it is, my new crown" He said. "Uh.... Phantom, we've seen that one already" Roland said. "We gave it to you for your birthday" Miranda said. "Oh. Well, have you seen....." Phantom picked up a different crown. "This one? This one has gems in it" He put it on his head. 'Phantom, we love all your crowns, but right now, it's time for me to show your mother her surprise" Roland said, and he and Miranda walked away. "Wait, but you didn't even see the gems. The blue and pink ones. I also do have a crown that's one-of-a-kind. Ohh, Dad wait" Roland walked out of Phantom's room with Miranda, and Roland closed Phantom's door. Phantom frowned a bit, then he put on his crown that he always wears. "Ugh, this is so impossible" He said, opening his door and went to Roland and Miranda. Meanwhile, Split, Shadow, and Gwendal looked at the window. "Shadow, Mr. Ceedric is stuck in the window. We really have to tell Dad" Split said. "Or...." Shadow picked up Mr. Cedric's wand. "I could use magic to fix everything" Shadow said. "But you're not a sorcerer" Split said. "How hard could it be? I'll just find a spell in Mr. Cedric's book, wave this wand around and-" "I really don't think we should do this" Gwendal said, cutting Shadow off. "Here, this spell looks like it'll work" Split and Gwendal turned away. "I can't look" Split said. "I'm not either" Gwendal said. "Mom, Dad. Look at the new ballet steps I just learned" Phantom said, then showed them the ballet steps. "And Plie and Jeťe and Plie, Jeťe" "Sorry Phantom. But after we go to the Throne Room" Roland said. "But Dad, I've been working on my yodeling. Don't you wanna hear it?" Phantom asked, and he started to yodel while following them. "Zabra zend, zabra zoo. Free our friend and fix the window too" Shadow said and cast the spell at the window. Mr. Cedric started to get out of the window. "It's working" Split said. Mr. Cedric fell out of the window. "Shadow, you did it" Gwendal said. "Yep" Shadow said. They heard cracking, and they all turned towards the window. "What's happening?" Shadow asked. "Oh no" Gwendal said. The window broke into a lot of pieces. "Uh oh" Split said. Roland and Miranda walked in the Throne Room with Phantom following them. Roland gasped. "The window" He said. "Oh, it wasn't me, your majesty. It was the children" Mr. Cedric said, walking back to his workshop. "What is? What's going on?" Miranda asked. Roland walked over to the broken window and picked up a piece. "There was a stained-glass window here of the entire family. That was your surprise that I wanted to show you" Roland said. "Oh, Rollie, that's so sweet" Miranda said. "I guess I have to tell them I broke the window" Shadow whispered to his brothers and step-brother. "But then you won't get to go to the circus" Split whispered back. "I know" Phantom looked at Shadow, then to Roland and Miranda. "Children, you know the window was meant for your mother, and it was very important to me. Now it's broken. What happened here?" Roland asked. "Mom, Dad. What happened was-" Phantom cut Shadow off. "I broke it, it was my fault" He said. "But Sha-" Gwendal stopped himself. "I was playing ball in the house" "You did this Phantom?" Miranda asked. Phantom sighed. "I'm sorry" He said. "So are we, this seems so unlike you" "And it seems a lot like you" Gwendal whispered to Shadow. Phantom looked at his parents with real sadness. "We're very disappointed in you" Roland said. "And since you broke a castle rule" Miranda started. "I'm afraid you're going to stay home from the circus" Roland finished. "I understand" Phantom said. "Alright, everyone, time to go to the circus" Baileywick said, looking at the broken window and gasped. "The window" "Phantom played ball in the house" Roland said. "Phantom?" Baileywick asked. "Would you escort him to his room, please?" "Right away" Baileywick walked away, and Phantom followed. "Have fun, everyone" Phantom said. "So.. uh... should we get ready to go?" Miranda asked. "Uh.... I'll meet you outside" Shadow said and went to Baileywick and Phantom. "Phantom, wait" Shadow said. "I just have to talk to him for a minute" Shadow grabbed Phantom's hand, and they walked a few inches from Baileywick. "Why did you tell Mom and Dad you broke the window when it was really me?" Shadow asked. "Because I didn't want you to get trouble" Phantom replied. "But now you're in trouble" "Shads, I know how much you love the circus, I wanted to make sure you got to go and besides, I can always go next year" "Wow. You did this just for me?" "Of course I did, you're my brother. I would do anything for you" "Thanks" "You better get going, Shadow, or you'll be late" Baileywick said. "Go on, you can tell me all about when you get back" Phantom said, walking away with Baileywick. "Ok, bye" Shadow said, then turned away with real sadness. Then, in the coach, Shadow was already in, then Gwendal got in, also with sadness on his face. Split was also sad. "To the circus" Miranda said, and the coachman took them to the circus. "Hey Phantom" Baileywick asked, and Phantom turned around to face him. "I haven't known you as much as I known Shadow because you hung out with Split very often, but I do know you two well enough that I know that you wouldn't play ball in the castle if the king told you not to. Shadow, on the other hand, though,....... well, if you did take the blame for him, that was very kind of you, but a lie is a lie, even if you're trying to help someone" He continued. Phantom looked down while Baileywick gave a small smile at Phantom. "I never thought about it that way" Phantom said. "Maybe next time you will" Baileywick said. "Peppermint tea?" He asked, then pulled out Phantom's chair. "I love some" Phantom said, sitting down. "Thanks, Baileywick," He said. "Anytime" Baileywick said.

(Roland and Miranda find out)

At the circus, the juggling jesters just came out. "Phantom would've loved this" Miranda said. "It's too bad he broke the window" Roland said. "I hear the jesters are your favorite Shadow" Miranda said. "Yea" Shadow said in a sad tone. "Is something wrong?" Miranda asked. "It's just that, I have something to tell you. Phantom didn't break the window, and he didn't play ball inside. It was me" Shadow said. "What?" Roland asked. "He took the blame so I could go to the circus" Shadow admitted. Roland and Miranda looked at each other, then at Split and Gwendal. Split chuckled nervously. "Uh... Gwendal, did you help Shadow?" Roland asked. "And Split, did you tell Phantom to keep us from seeing the window?" Miranda asked. "Maybe we did, maybe we didn't" Gwendal said. "......... ok, fine, yes, we did" Split admitted. "I think it's time we all went home" Roland said, then he, Miranda, Gwendal, Shadow, and Split all left the circus. At the castle, Phantom, Shadow, and Gwendal were sitting on a couch. Split was sitting on the arm of the couch. "We're very disappointed in you. Shadow, you broke a castle rule" Roland started. "And then, the four of you tried to hide it from us" Miranda finished. "I'm sorry" Phantom said. "Me too" Split said. "So am I" Gwendal said. "Very sorry" Shadow said. "When one of you makes a mistake, you need to tell us" Roland said. "Otherwise, the problem could get worse" Miranda said. "So much worse" Split said. "Families need to be honest and not keep secrets from each other" Miranda said. "So next time something like this happens, just tell the truth right from the start" Roland said. "I promise to do that from now on" Shadow said. "So will I" Split said. "On the rare occasion that me or Phantom does something wrong, we'll be sure to tell you" Gwendal said. "Good" Roland said. "So what are we going do for the rest of the afternoon?" Miranda asked. "I could play "Song for my Beloved Parents: Number Three" Phantom suggested. "Umm..." "Your majesty, there's someone at the door who would like to have a word with you" Baileywick said, walking into the room. "Oh. Who is it?" Roland asked. "You should come see for yourself" Baileywick walked out of the room. "Ok" Roland said, walking out of the room with Miranda. "We'll be right back" She said. Phantom, Gwendal, Shadow, and Split were waiting on the couch.

(The circus comes to the castle)

Roland, Miranda, Gwendal, Shadow, and Phantom were all outside sitting on their thrones. Gwendal, Shadow, Phantom, and Split all had their eyes closed. "What did you want to show us?" Gwendal asked. "This. Open your eyes" Miranda said. They all opened their eyes and saw the Goldenwing Circus before them. "Awesome" Shadow said. "They're here?" Gwendal asked in amazement. Phantom and Split just kept watching as the people did tricks and the jesters juggled. The children and parents all kept watching as fireworks flew up in the sky, crackling as they exploded.
