Smiling, ear to ear and dancing in my mind,
Lips curved upwards, the happiness I find,
I stare at the floating leaves, lead by the breeze,
Slowly and steadily, they fall and then freeze.

I notice a tiny little rock, still as the time,
For it, has been a moment, what for me, a hundred more times,
I sing a melody, resembling my mother,
Sweet and nice and shrill as ever,

I smile yet again, for the reason is not you,
I stop and step back, looking back at how much I really get,
Love's not there to destroy,
Love's not there to cry,
So I smile, I smile with all my heart.

I stare back at the still time, and watch a fellow kick it away,
I unfold my arms and stand,
For being still is never an option,
And with that I cut through the breeze,
And go ahead to find my way.
