Mimasaka is taking out bacon to his meal, and that bacon is shining brilliantly. Everyone thinks that the bacon is going to be for the Garnish, which means that is what Mimasaka plans to win against Soma.

Mimasaka notices Sotsuda in the stands, and he says, "Oh, isn't it Sotsuda Mitsuru you have here? You should change your password to a more elaborate one. If it's your birthday, it makes things too simple."

Sotsuda is now panicking and he asks, "You accessed my PC?"

"I had many other ways to go about it, Yukihira Soma is not a person I can trace on, but thanks to you, it makes my job easier." Mimasaka says.

Sotsuda realizes that it is his fault that Soma's recipe is stolen, but Soma has other plans as he takes out the box. Soma notices one of the judges and says, "You were Tsunozaki Taki senpai, right?"

"Huh?" The said judge glares at Soma, who says, "I heard from the Phantom that you like to complain a lot. And it seems you've been saying a lot of things about me. I'll listen to all your complaints after I've finished serving my dish."

Much to everyone's shock, Soma takes out Beef Cheek, Bee Tongue, Beer Tripe, Fillet, and so on, and he's slowly begun cooking each of them.

"Judges, I am going to take you all to the "Beef Amusement Park!" Soma says with a smirk, causing everyone to be surprised.

"What is this about?" Sotsuda gasps in shock, "All the time he was making tests...he only used tail meat..."

"That's right, Mitsuru. All of these are the meat I chose and bought this morning." Soma says.

Everyone gasps as all of Soma's actions from then on would be completely ad-libbed. Sōma quickly set to work cooking the tongue and fillet. As he brought out his steak skirt, Sōma suddenly left the arena to fetch a shichirin.

"Yukihira, I see, as I thought you are one of those types. All the cooks who've fought me without knowing about my perfect trace were either defeated without being unable to do anything against my Alpha Arrangements or tried to evolve their dish on the spur of the moment like Takumi Aldini. Then what about the ones I know how I work? They are trying to sneak attack or either Ad libbing. Most cooks would fall into panic and lose without even presenting a complete dish, but Yukihira will probably bring out a decent one. You're not the kind of guy who'd panic in the middle."

"What's that? You're giving an awful lot of praise." Soma says.

"I believe in you, after all, I know everything about you. Even that you stopped by Aldini's apartment and that you bought plenty of meat afterward." Mimasaka says.

"Really? Are you saying that now because I am making it right now?" Soma says, "I know for sure that your perfect trace can't beat Angel's Eyes."

"Angel's Eyes..." Erina gasps as she remembers what Soma says about the Phantom, but she shakes off the idea of Soma being the Phantom.

With his dish done, Subaru presented his dish first, a Beef Stew with Bacon Garnish.

"The garniture is that bacon plus mushrooms and small onion glace...to begin with, glace means to freeze in Spanish, its glossy luster pulls the dish together. The Legendary chef Escoffier advocated the importance of garniture, and..."

"Shut up! Enough of showing off your knowledge! Just eat it!" Taki yells at the girl.

After tasting, they find that the dish has a sort of mellowness, and the mesquite's aroma was sharp enough to almost produce tears.

"I read all of your train of thought. That's exactly what the special bacon is for." Mimasaka says as he reveals that his bacon was cured and pickled for 5 days, followed by a day to dry, and 5 hours to smoke.

"Rather than overshadow the beef's impact, only serves to enhance it even further. Certainly...this carefully built taste, the weight of labor and time spent, in this dish, you'll find a strength that could be considered the antithesis of an improvised dish." Dojima says.

"You're thoughtless, Yukihira! Creating a dish following the inspiration you got right there...it sounds good and all, but that's just "deliberate resignation"! You just "stopped thinking!" In cooking, those who prepare right down to a gnat's eyebrow win. No matter how many tricks you do now, it's useless. Well carve it firmly into your memory, the last dish you prepare for a customer in your life."

Soma says, "Beliving in your opponent, I also did that."

"What?" Mimasaka is confused, and Soma continues, "Don't say such dreary things, Mimasaka. I also spent this whole week thinking about you, you know?"

Just then, Soma is about to present his dish, and Mimasaka can feel sweat and terror from the boy in front of him.

"Now here you go. It's done. The Yukihira-Style Beef Stew: Autumn Election Special!"

Everyone is surprised to see how much meat is in it, and Taki says, "I hope you're not screwing with us here. I've never seen such a beef stew."

"What are you saying? This is a proper beef stew, and those are all garniture."

Mimasaka sees that he just threw together a bunch of different ingredients, which is a sloppy and vain struggle, but just by smelling, they can feel the aromatic smell of charcoal, and the beef tongue and fillet are perfectly boiled.

After tasting it, the judges really feel like they are in the amusement park with a lot of flavors like a roller coaster.

"Impossible...why does this Ad lib dish that relies on inspiration have such a degree of completion?" Mimasaka gasps with horror.

"Mimasaka, I have similar thoughts, too. Strengthening the flavor using a strong garniture like smoked bacon. But doing that, I'd never reach the flavor I was looking for." Soma says.

"It's really original! To think he could spread such a multilayered flavor in a beef stew!" Sonoka says. "How did you even get the idea to assemble such a dish?"

"Well, to be honest, I used a certain dish as a model for it. That is Chikuzenni." Soma says.

Everyone is confused as Chikuzenni is a dish made from vegetables, but Soma explains that the dishes are similar because cooking each part of the dish separately while paying attention to the construction and harmony of the stew is what they are.

"Yukihira, you bastard...didn't you escape to an improvisation that relied on a whim? Emptying your mind! Ceasing all thought!" Mimasaka yells.

"I never said I was improvising. I kept constructing it until just before the match, no, even after I began cooking, the entire time! That is what Angel's Eyes are about! You, who completely investigate your opponent's dish, and only go one step further to surpass it, I figured you could never replicate this."

And in the end, Yukihira Soma gained a 5-0 victory against Mimasaka, and thus he advances to the finals. And because he wins, the contract of Yukihira Soma quit being a cook and revealing the Phantom's identity is stripped.

"This can't be...like you can slip through my trace! There's no way Mimasaka Subaru's cooking can lose!" Mimasaka yells.

"Then you should try my dish then." Soma says as he presents the dish, and after eating it, Mimasaka starts to have childhood memories about his past.

"Yukihira-kun." Soma turns to the person in the Phantom cloak and the mask, and Soma smiles at the person, who is standing beside the huge container.

"No way...the phantom..." Everyone gasps at the sight, and even Taki and Sonoka tense up at the sight of the Phantom. "I always trusted you to win."

"Thanks, Phantom." Soma smiles as the Phantom leaves without a trace, and the crowd are wondering what the container is for.

"As of the Shokugeki just now, Mimasaka Subaru's right of possession over these tools is terminated!" Hisanao Kageura says. "By the way, in the event of Yukihira Soma's win, all the tools are to be returned to their owners."

The students who lost their tools are now delighted as they can get theirs back, they are very happy as they rush to get them. Mimasaka is now kneeling and he says, "It's time to end this. I'm leaving Totsuki, I won't cook anymore. I lost so disgracefully, there's nothing left I can be proud of."

Soma slaps Mimasaka, much to the boy's shock. "You idiot! That would make my accepting the Shokugeki meaningless!"

Soma turns to Takumi, who is watching the match, and says, "What's up? You aren't going to take it back? There's one left...it's yours."

Takumi just says, "That's yours now. Like hell I can accept it." He turns to Mimasaka. "Mimasaka Subaru. I lost against you. It was a complete loss. But I won't lose next time! If you go one step further, then I'll go two, no, I'll go 10 or 100 steps ahead! I will make you pay me back for this humiliation...I won't let it end like this! Understood!"

He throws the box of Mezzaluna to Soma and says, "The same goes for you, Yukihira. I will definitely take the Mezzaluna back by winning against you in a Shokugeki! Until then, please hold on to it."

Sōma told Subaru that all cooks are a bunch of sore losers and even when they are faced with a situation that destroys their confidence, a chef will always be ready to open their shop the next day. Subaru smiled and realized that he did not have to end his career just because he lost.

Back in the secluded area, Soma finds Isshiki, who returns the costume to him, he says, "Thank you for acting for me."

"No problem, Soma-kun." Isshiki says. "Though I never knew being a Phantom is so amazing."

"I know." Soma says as he puts on the costume. "But I'm going to watch the match on the stands. So I'll see you later."

After that, Soma leaves, and Isshiki smiles at the sight.

Erina is watching the match, as she can't believe that she manages to see the Phantom up close, but then he gets away again.

"So the next are Hayama and Kurokiba, huh?" Erina turns around to see the Phantom standing there, much to her shock. "I wonder what kind of match we'll get to see."

"What are you doing here like it's the natural thing to do?" Erina asks with a little anger, and he says, "It is simple, I'm doing this to my junior fellow with the same ability as me."

"Yukihira-kun, huh?" Erina is a little annoyed, "What did you see in him? He is just a B-Class chef who wins just by sheer luck."

"On the contrary, he reminds me of my old past self." Phantom says, much to Erina's confusion. But they are interrupted as they are watching the match. And in the middle of the match, even Alice manages to get in.

"So you are the famous Phantom, huh? I can't believe I get to see you up close." Alice says.

"If I remember, you were the one who lost to Yukihira in the first match?" Soma asks, and Alice gives a pout and says, "He just won by sheer luck! But why don't you take off that mask?"

"If I do it, my life will be ruined by everyone who treated me differently." Soma says.

In the end, Ryo goes for Eel Matelote while Hayama goes for Canard Apicius. And after the judges vote for a 2-2, Sonoka can't decide the winner, and Dojima says, "It's not like I don't understand her opinion. That's just how comparable these two's abilities are."

And in the end, they decide to let the two of them become the winners, which means Soma gets to battle both Hayama and Kurokiba in the finals.

Since the longe is empty, Soma takes off the Phantom disguise and says, "Oh? Interesting."
