Thank you so much for giving this book a chance, it means the world to me. I'm quite busy with school, but I'm going to try my best to post at least one chapter every week.

Like my other books, this one is also going to be loaded with drama and secrets that will give you a roller coaster of emotions. If you enjoy rosy romances and happy ever afters, I'm sorry but this book might not be for you.

I think I must also mention that most of the time, my characters are heavily flawed. None of their behaviors, thoughts or actions reflect me. They are just crazy people in my head that I enjoy writing about. They are not me!

Having said that, I really hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy the writing process. I look forward to your votes, comments and support. 💕💕

Sometimes, loving someone means letting them go, no matter how much it hurt.

The eerie silence in whispering voices, the hooting of owls, brawling of trees, and overbearing darkness engulfed the tattered-looking girl. She made her way through terror in hasty steps, clinging unto a baby wrapped in horridly torn sheets, for dear life.

Plaguing her mind was one decision. Difficult, terrifying yet inevitable. She strained her eyes, peering through the gloom in search of the most ideal place to "dump" her child.

This was more difficult a task than anyone could handle, let alone a seventeen-year-old girl.

Knowing well that this decision would alter the course of another person's life forever, made it even worse. And the fact that this was her flesh and blood tore her heart to a million pieces.

She looked up at the hospital that was not so far off, hoping and believing that since doctors were supposedly good people, her baby would have a fair chance at life. Shivering and scared, she pulled him away from her torso where he was resting, so she could take a look at his face one last time.

It took her last deal of strength to prevent herself from breaking down right there. It hurt too much to let him go. It hurt, even more, to know that he'd live every day of his life, loathing her.

However, none of that mattered. She'd be long dead. She'd imagined jumping off a bridge a thousand times over, that it felt like it had already happened and this was merely her ghost trying to bid her child farewell.

Diana nuzzled her little baby, depositing a teardrop on his cheek, before dropping him on the ground. With a piece of cloth, she wiped his face, while he smiled at her with a silent coo.

The longer she spent there staring at him in admiration, the more agony, and distress she endured. Unable to bear the feeling like a thousand bricks falling on her chest any longer, she let go of him and ran away, holding onto his napkin as well as his smile.

One day, this child would condemn her for the critical decision she had to make. But there was a story as ugly as the large scar trying to pave its way out of her tattered dress, buried in the depths of her dark memories.

And in that story, she was not the villain.
