As Izuku's events at UA continue, he is constantly faced with many ordeals. At the Mermaid Cafe, he was able to increase it's prosperity alongside his friends. However, he will soon face a new trial in the forms of the Final Exams.

Izuku POV:

After the addition of Uta to the cafe, I was able to study a bit more as well as spend some more time with Otama. Apparently, she liked the idea of having more time with me. Not certain why. I spent a lot of time though focusing on training as well as studying to make certain whatever UA would give me for a Final Exam for the term would go as smoothly as I can make it. Once the day finally came, the written test was somewhat easy with only Yaoyorozu being the one person that was done before me. I'll admit, that woman's smart. When it came time for the practical, all of us came down to the buses they had to see class B alongside in their hero outfits.

"Well, if it isn't class A. Have you come to see how superior our class is to yours!?" Monoma continued his antics with Kendo opting not to incapacitate him most likely due to the situation. however, she did come over towards us.

"I'm really sorry. The only reason I'm not hitting him is because of the day. I do not endorse him and most of our class is quick to agree."

"Honestly, the ones who can't stand for themselves tend to be the ones that bark the loudest." While this happened, I felt someone I was surprised to have come to turn in a distance.

"It's very nice to see you again, Izuku. I hope that Praline is doing well. MA MA MAMAMA!" Everyone looked up to the source of the sound to go entirely pale seeing who it was.

"WHAT THE HECK IS BIG MOM DOING HERE!?" On top of her shoulder, Otama peeked out to smile at everyone.

"Hey everybody!"

"Otama! What are you doing up there!? I thought Shyarly said she'd watch you today!"

"I allowed her to take the time to herself while I watched her. She even taught me how to do my hair like people of Wano." Big Mom seemed to be happy about this with Otama being just as happy. "Yamato and Praline even assisted. It's quite a lovely style, don't you agree Izuku?"

"It suits you nicely ma'am. It shows a great bit of maturity as a person and refineness."

"I knew you'd enjoy it. Ma ma ma!" She seemed happy to get the complement before Uraraka came over in a bit of a panic.

"How are you speaking to an Emperor so casually? She could crush us all if she sees a reason!"

"And? You already know that I'm in an agreement with her where both of us benefit."

"Oh also I spoke with the Minister of the Left the other day. We decided to join your trades by giving products that our residents of Totoland make in exchange for some of the tasty fruit of the kingdom of Zou. Some of our residents are also not against having some of the sake that your kingdom produces for the Beast Pirates if you're able to trade some. I hear it goes great in a fruity drink that our Minister of Juice makes."

"I'll talk to Jinbei when we have the chance to discuss possible ways of growing our trade route as well as the Ministers to see what I can do in order to get to a mutual benefit while keeping the minimum we need for our agreement with Kaido."

"Making deals while waiting for us, Ryugu?" Mr. Aizawa came out with Jinbei alongside him with all the teachers behind them.

"Sir. What's going on?" Yaoyorozu asked with Nezu popping out of Aizawa's gear to speak.

"It's nice to see you all. Big Mom. I apologize I could not greet you when you came here, but the sudden showing of you did not poise us able to do as much as we can."

"It's alright little bear creature. But I am quite interested in what exactly you are." Big Mom looked down at Nezu with his fur standing on edge.

"I'm sorry ma'am. But can we continue?" Aizawa asked for Big Mom to understand and sit back while they explained what was going on. "I'm sure you've all obtained some information about the Final Exams from the students above you."

"Heck yeah! Fighting robots! Easy streak!" Kaminari and Ashido high fived one another with Nezu adjusting what was actually going to happen.

"Due to recent acts, we as the staff of UA have deemed it far too easy after what you students have faced thus far. As such, we have revamped our final exams. As such, you all will be facing us the teachers. Isn't that exciting!?" Everyone was a bit on edge with this decision as it didn't seem to bother me as much. They also explained how the situation as a whole would be we are to either put cuffs on our opponent or escape through a gate. This would be similar to first responders to a villain attack and our goal was to either fight or flee. The teachers were also going to be holding weights on their body to make them just weak enough to take on four opponents. And to add more issues to this, two members of each class would have to work together with two from the other to make it a four on one.

"Upon a request from the school, I had been asked to aid in this." Jinbei spoke up for all of us to be surprised he was assisting. "My opponent shall be the following four. Katsuki Bakugou, Pony Tsunatori, Izuku Ryugu and Izumi Midoriya." I glanced at the two on class B with Izumi glaring back at me.

"Get on the bus you are going to be on and prepare to head out. The goal of this is teamwork and ability to work with your allies for a common goal." With these last words from our teacher, all of us headed towards the bus we were to be on. While here, I had spoken with Pony in hopes to try and get a good teamwork angle on her side.

"So the way I see it, your control of your horns might be a good way for us to avoid any dangerous situations of someone being pinned down. Using that. I'd reccomend you try and hide somewhere and assist where you can. This can prevent Jinbei from hitting you as well as help where you see possible. I'll need to depend on you to watch my back. Can you do it?"

"I think I can. But I won't be able to control more than two horns so easily. I'm trying to get to four, but I loose concentration on them somewhat easy."

"It's ok. I trust that you can do this task. I've seen how you work." I didn't look at her face, but I could feel she was proud to be told this.

"That's sweet. Almost enough that I wanna throw up." Izumi spoke up with Bakugou staying behind between both of us not really giving an answer to any of what was said. "But in all honesty, all you have to do is stay away from me and I'll be able to handle the fish."

"Funny. Because the way I see it, Jinbei is told to hold back just enough where we have a chance to win. If that's the case, how would you be able to take on an opponent alone?" I smirked at this comment with the bitch giving a scowl at me.

"Midoriya, maybe we should consider a way to-"

"DON'T YOU DARE BACKSASS ME YOU LITTLE SHIT!" She shouted at Bakugou with him seeming a little uneasy. "The only reason why I would even be caught dead with you is because you are the most useful out of everyone here. Outside of that, you're nothing but a stepping stone. Know your place!"

I sighed when I heard this before noticing Jinbei mouth something. I couldn't get what he said, but it almost sounded like he said 'this test won't end well'.  I was unsure about this with my focus returning to the task at hand. 'I'll figure out what he means later I guess.'

3rd person POV:

The group had arrived at a city area with it resembling a normal downtown section. Upon entering, Jinbei stayed at the front with the four going towards the center. "We should try and set up a plan as a precaution in case we can't take him on together. Bakugou. I think it'd be best if you try and attack Jinbei alongside Midoriya in the hopes to-"

"You're wasting your time trying to think of a plan that could help you." Izumi cut off Izuku with the buzzer going off. "Just stay out of my way and you won't get burned. Fair enough, failure?" Izumi went directly towards where they exited with it annoying him.

"Bakugou. You wanna follow my plan-"

"Just focus on avoiding problems with her. That'll be the best route we can go." He seemed scared of this course of action before blasting off towards Izumi.

"WHY CAN'T WE WORK TOGETHER ON THIS!?"

"Umm...I'll still help however I can if you need me to." Pony commented with Izuku letting out a sigh.

"Keep in mind what we talked about on the bus. Keep all of us safe as our support."

"Right." The two ran forward to catch up with the two. When getting to the front gate, they noticed Jinbei sitting down on his knees with his eyes shut.

"HAH! IT'LL BE EASY TAKING DOWN A STUPID FISH LIKE YOU! OVERHEAT!" Izumi shot a whip of fire at Jinbei with him seeing this coming to jump up and dodge it.

"Arroba Shark Brick Fist!" The hit came right at Izumi for her to jump back and see the damage of it being indented into the ground. "Impressive, but not good enough! WATER SHOT!" Jinbei went right for Izumi with her still in midair to not be able to readjust herself in time. However, she was pulled away by one of Pony's horns for the blond to sigh in relief.

"Just in tiAHHH!" She was nearly hit with a blast of fire by Izumi who glared in her direction.

"STAY OUT OF MY WAY YOU FILTHY MONGREL!" In her act, Jinbei sighed before going back for her with Izuku holding him back.

"I'll draw his attention! Try to make the air around us dryer with your quirk!" Izuku began using Haki to the best of his abilities to counter Jinbei who had done the same for it to be a test of endurance.

To the side, Bakugou attempted to shoot at the Fishman to get as close as he could. "TAKE THIS!"

"YOU THINK I'LL LISTEN TO YOU JUST BECAUSE!? LIKE I GIVE A DAMN! FLAME SHOT!" Izumi sent a blast at Izuku  and Jinbei for both to be in direct line of fire of it. Seeing the danger, Jinbei spoke up to Izuku.

"PULL BACK!" He listened and pulled away. However, Bakugou didn't notice this immediately to be going right at the shot with it aimed at his head.

"BAKUGOU! PULL BACK!" Izuku tried to warn him with the attack being too close for him to dodge. A massive explosion happened to have all three feel the force. Izuku ran immediately in to try and find Bakugou only to see the ash blond a distance away with a few burns on his face.

"That was close." Pony spoke up while having one of her horns on the ground burnt to almost nothing. At the last moment, she was able to use her horn to tank the shot and avoid the blunt force to go directly to Bakugou. The act hurt his face and gave him notable burns, but the damage could have been far worse if it was a direct hit.

"THIS IS OUT OF LINE! WAY MORE THAN WHAT YOU NORMALLY DO!" Izuku was enraged as this incident actually could have killed someone if Izumi's attack would've landed.

"OH ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY THE SAINT NOW!? NEWS FLASH, BAKUGOU WAS JUST AS MUCH OF AN ASSHOLE TO YOU GROWING UP AS YOU PUT ME OUT TO BE! WHY DEFEND SOMEONE LIKE THAT!?"

"BECAUSE HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO HAVE HIS FUCKING FACE GET BURNED OFF EVEN IF HE WAS AN ASS!"

Bakugou stood back up from the shock as he saw his entire life flash before his eyes. That attack actually would have killed him and now understood the insanity that Izuku was talking back against. 'This...this was meant to be an exam. This isn't real life threat level, but...' He panicked a bit thinking about this with Pony walking up and shaking him.

"Snap out of it. The test isn't over yet." Izumi attacked Jinbei again for him to knock it back with his Haki and go after Izumi. Izuku kicked her away and took on Jinbei's Haki with his own.

"If you're unable to work alongside us, then there's no point in you even being here! RIGHT NOW YOU'RE A LIABILITY, MIDORIYA! SO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE AND EITHER GO TO THE EXIT OR FIND SOMEWHERE TO HIDE IF YOU CAN'T WORK TOGETHER! BAKUGOU! THE SAME WITH YOU!" Izuku broke the stalemate him and Jinbei had to give a couple of punches with the Whaleshark Fishman blocking them all with no fear or hesitation. In an attempt to shake him, Jinbei had used his Fishman Karate to send Izuku sliding back. He hit a wall with his opponent charging and preparing to attack with another attack.

"STUN GRENADE!" Bakugou shouted as he created a flash for Jinbei to cover his eyes. During this brief moment, Bakugou pulled Izuku back and began letting off massive blasts at the Fishman for him to try and block them with his Haki. This was working with Izuku regaining his sight and going right towards Jinbei. He took the attacks before trying to attack once more to have Pony pull Izuku and Bakugou out of the area.

"You think I'm a hinderance? A liability?" Izumi was fuming with rage as she began sending massive amounts of fire at Jinbei. This failed as he pulled away and attempted to attack her. At this moment though, Izuku and Bakugou went towards the Fishman to counter attack and force his attention on them. Seeing her get ignored once more, Izumi tried again to attack with all three in the crossfire. Now realizing the dangers, Bakugou grabbed Izuku to pull him away with Jinbei punching the flames and dispersing them before hitting Izumi in the stomach and making her go flying. She was caught by Pony who was punched in the face by her, forcing the blond to let go as Izuku and Bakugou kept attacking. The group continued thair acts with it waring down Jinbei a bit. Unfortunately, the amount of time they had continued to dwindle down until a buzzer rang.

"The time for the Final Exams has expired. All participants that have not completed it thus far have failed."

"Dammit!" Izuku growled a bit to himself as he now had to face remedial lessons due to his inability to succeed.

"Great. This is just great. Not only did you three get in my way, but because of none of you thinking on how to act on the opportunities, I failed alongside you-"

"WE DIDN'T FAIL BECAUSE OF JUST US! YOU'RE LACK OF HELPING OUT IS JUST AS MUCH OF A PROBLEM!" Pony blew up at Izumi for her to stop and listen. "WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO WORK WITH YOU AND HELP YOU, BUT YOU'VE DONE NOTHING BIT COMPLAIN AND ARGUE WITH US THE ENTIRE TIME! HERE'S AN IDEA, FIND A WAY TO WORK TOGETHER WITH PEOPLE! THAT'S WHY WE LOST! YOU DIDN'T WANNA WORK TOGETHER AND FORCE US TO TAKE WATCHING OUR BACKS WITH JINBEI AND YOU FAR MORE SERIOUSLY!" Hearing Pony say what he was about to say, Izuku was kinda impressed. Izumi on the other hand looked as if she was about to blow up.

"You self righteous arrogant little-"

"The way of your group in particular passing this exam was not on defeating me or passing through the goal post within the time was not the optional objective of your passing. There was a third method that was created for your group specifically. This might be better if you all come with me to talk with your teachers." Jinbei began walking with nobody making much of an issue with this. For them, this was a chance to still pass. But in reality, this was worse than just a test of passing or failing. It was meant to test the situation of three students specifically and their ability to work together. But the contents for failure was worth far more than just a simple pass or fail. This was an option for expulsion.
