(Y/N Quill is the son of Peter Quill and Gamora, inheriting his father's habits of listening to music and his mother's features. Because of it, he was abused during his time in a certain academy until he finally decided to leave.)

Peter: Come on, Gamora. Whether I like it or not, this is my home planet.

Gamora: I know. I know. The question is that... look at our son. He's suffering because he's different from other people.

(Y/N turns to see his father's teammates Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Mantis and Drax.)

Groot: I am Groot.

Rocket: See? Even Groot agrees with me.

Gamora: I guess it's past time.

Y/N: It's still...

Gamora: I know it's early to sleep. Too early. But I'm referring to the time your father's cowl is passed to you.

Y/N: You mean...

Rocket: Yeah, kid. It's your turn to become the new Star Lord.

Peter; Rocket, you can't be serious.

Rocket: I've never been so serious in my entire life!

Groot: I am Groot.

Drax: Yeah, Peter should have retired a long time ago. He's getting old.

Peter: I'm not getting old.

Mantis: Yes, you are.

Gamora: She's right, you are.

Rocket: (to Y/N) Now come along, kid. Your new suit awaits you.

(Rocket and Groot guide Y/N to a room.)

Groot: I am Groot.

Rocket: He told you to back away.

(Y/N does so as Groot uses his powers to unlock the door, and then they see the cowl of Star Lord.)

Y/N: (amazed) My father used this?

Rocket: With helmet and everything.

Y/N: Well, I just need some training, don't you think?

(Then Y/N wears his father's old uniform and goes to the underground training room, where he trains to become the new Star Lord. This is only the beginning.)
