Universe 0078

This universe is an alternate reality ending of what happens AFTER the events of the Doomsday Machine finale at the end of the show.

The only difference is that instead of Robotnik being assumed dead for good or possibly in hiding somewhere...

...Robotnik's failsafe plan is transferring part of his consciousness into Sonic during their final confrontation against each other.

Robotnik slowly slips his way into Sonic's thoughts, affecting his personality over the years to make him more calculating like the doctor would during missions.

Neither Sonic nor the Freedom Fighters were aware of this and assumed this was just Sonic changing on his own, unaware of the encroaching darkness of Robotnik getting closer and closer to taking over.

It eventually all came to a head when Sonic discovered a device of Robotnik's, unintentionally using it to bring about Robotnik into control.

As Sonic was fighting Robotnik for control of his body, Sally and the others rushed to remove the doctor from Sonic and they had gotten the cure Sonic needed.......but they were too late as Sonic's consciousness was eradicated and Robotnik took control forever, Sonic's white and green eyes replaced with Robotnik's red and black eyes as he got himself a robotic arm to replace his now failing left one.

The new being flee using Sonic's speed to go get the spare Robotnik armor he needed...

Now reborn as Sonicnik!

Sonicnik went on to robotize the Freedom Fighters and turn them into the Suppression Squad.

He now rules over Neo Robotropolis and Mobius as a whole with a robotic fist.

A universe like this is an example of one that needs you or an alternate Sonic to come save it.

Traveler Scenario

You arrive through a portal, finding yourself in a version of Robotropolis that's way darker than the one in the Satam/Archie universe

Unfortunately you don't have much time to question this place as a Swatbot spots you and begins rushing over to try capturing you.

What do you do?

Home Scenario

You and however many few Mobians and humans left in the world are hiding out either on Angel Island with Knuckles or at the Forbidden Valley with Aura (my OC).

At this point, all of the people with you or maybe even yourself too have nearly given up hope on the rest of the world being saved, figuring it's best that all of you stay where you are and live the rest of your lives in peace away from the darkness that consumed nearly the entire world.

Though the inner Freedom Fighter inside you doesn't want to give up and wishes to get back all of the loved ones you lost to Sonicnik.

As if fate decides to answer your struggles, a portal opens up and someone is thrown past you into a tree.
