Hey guys, I'm going to make this part quick for a few reasons.

1) So I can focus on other projects, including doing other scenarios for this book, so it'll be easier if this was mainly summarized.

2) Shadow being part Wisp already makes him OP, so most of the events in this "What if" are really pushovers compared to what will happen in the end of the timeline.

Just as an honorable mention, Mrknuc recently created an artwork of what Shadow being a Wisp hybrid would look like.

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting the swirling logo the original Shadow had to be there, but I guess that's part of the style.

Anyways, onto the timeline...

Sonic Heroes

So what was Shadow doing after helping beat Eggman on the Ark?

Well he was taking more hobbies up while training again to prepare to face Black Doom.

Most recently, he's done babysitting for a mother named Vanilla to watch over her daughter so she could take some nights off to enjoy herself.

The day then came that the heroes received a message from Eggman about creating the ultimate weapon and taunting them to stop him.

Sonic was about to go on an adventure to stop him with Tails and Knuckles, but something complicates the search even more.

Shadow, having heard from Team Rose that Chocola and Froggy were supposedly kidnapped by a missing Sonic, confronts Sonic and his two buddies about this.

Sonic tells his adopted dad that he had no idea since he never encountered the brown Chao and avoided Froggy for Big's sake.

Shadow finds it suspicious that Eggman was able to send a message since last time he was heard from, they had taken the doctor into custody for trying to threaten the world.

The team goes to the prison and gets access to Eggman's cell thanks to Shadow's reputation with the governments of the world.

Sure enough, Eggman was still there and in the flesh, acting like he was oblivious to the message he sent......and also like he was trying to hide something else.

Shadow grabs the arm Eggman is hiding behind his back and pulls it out to reveal he was secretly holding a walkie talkie of some kind.

The hedgehog quickly finds out on the other end is the Chaotix Detective Agency, who were told Eggman would pay them for doing tasks.

Smirking smugly at Eggman and causing the doctor to silently beg him not to do it, Shadow offers the Chaotix double what Eggman was offering if they can help find Froggy and Chocola, which the Chaotix accepts the deal immediately.

With the combined teamwork of Team Sonic, Team Rose and the Chaotix, they all meet up and find the Eggman imposter among the bots.

Just as Shadow guessed, it was none other than Metal Sonic, who was now disappointed the plan didn't work.

Metal's plan was to take on the hero teams separately and capture their data so he could get stronger, but Shadow dismantled the entire thing before it could start.

Sonic fights Metal with aid from Tails and Knuckles, while all the other heroes destroy Eggman's robots and ships, further weakening Eggman's empire.

Metal is pretty much a pushover at this point and gets taken down in a few minutes.

Where was Rouge during all of this?

She tried to break into one of Eggman's vaults and winded up getting chased out by Omega.

Shadow the Hedgehog

If you read "What if Maria survived?", you probably already see a common theme for whenever Shadow's past is altered.

In most of them, Maria gets out alive, Shadow actually gets to be with Maria on the surface.........and Black Doom is pretty much completely outgunned whenever he gets to our planet.

Turns out if both Gerald Robotnik and the government both calmed down and thought stuff out, Black Doom would've looked like a wimp in every timeline.

How is Black Doom in an unfair fight in these What ifs?

Well there's a few key factors...

1) Maria never died on the station, so Shadow doesn't have that scarred backstory filled with a grudge against humans.

2) Shadow never gains amnesia, instead of being found by Rouge and her not telling him about his past, meaning Black Doom can't offer him anything.

3) The government would be more focused on the alien threat coming and Abraham Towers wouldn't have that grudge against Shadow for taking Maria from him, meaning Shadow has every military helping attack the Black Arms.

Put simply, the moment the Black Arms come......they're ****ed

All it would be is down to Shadow vs Black Doom, which it may look like it's even at first, but it's not.

Black Doom may have access to Chaos powers, but Shadow has that AND Hyper Go On energy abilities too, meaning Shadow is practically a god slaying an immortal king.

For good measure, Sonic and Shadow teleport the Black Comet into space to blown up by the Eclipse Cannon.

Shadow had finally accomplished his destiny of wiping out the Black Arms....

....but little did he know that something would come back to bite him later.

Before I end this, I have to add that 06 never really happens in this timeline.

Since Shadow was alive and on the surface during the events of the experiment on Solaris, he was basically around to find his weak flame form and blow him out.

I don't think the king could hide it from him anyways since Solaris generates a lot of power that's easy to sense.

Ironically, Shadow makes the lives of two girls better in this timeline.

But Shadow isn't out of the woods yet.

Part 4 will try to lead up to another big event: The return of Mother Wisp.
