Sonics pov

A miracle happened. As I hugged him he started to glow slowly. I looked at him as he glowed completely my eyes shined brightly as the shooting stars start to shoot and the moonlight began to shine as well. Knuckles was slowly turning back into himself. I thought, is this...really happening?... that's when the fireflies came out and glow so bright. my eyes focused on Knuckles who was almost himself. then as he stopped flowing all I can see was Knuckles on my lap bleeding I felt so relieved as I smiled. part of my red hood flew off once again as I looked away for a moment but then... it happened I can feel someone's arm around me. I looked back and saw Knuckles gazing into my eyes. I didn't know what to say. His eyes were gazing into mine as I fell in tears. I can feel his warm embrace around me. I took off my hood and cape and placed it on him. I kinda figured he was cold. I know for a fact that he has a big heart. Then a wave of relief washed over me once more as I hugged him and whispered, I missed you...I love you. Knuckles whispered as he held me in his arms hearing me cry under his chest, I love you too Sonic. That's when we stood up as we looked into each other's eyes before we slowly tilted our heads for a kiss. I closed my eyes as Knuckles did the same. I knew for a fact that he really does love me. We broke the kiss before we hugged each other as the fireflies glowed beautifully all around us.
