010, guilt riddled

LĒIA SOBBED as she reached a hand over to his beautiful yellow eyes, carefully closing them. She didn't know how Lo'ak and his family was going to deal with Neteyam's death. Would they move back to the forest? If so, would Lo'ak ever come to visit Lēia? She knew that if they did leave the reef and return home, she wouldn't be allowed to go visit them.

Her eyes scanned over Neteyam's face. He was a beautiful young boy who deserved to live his life to the full extent. His time wasn't up. She prayed he was now pain free with Eywa.

Lēia didn't know how long she had been left with Neteyam, but she knew it had been at least a few hours as it was almost sunrise and Lo'ak returned with his family and the human. Lēia made eye contact with the human. She could practically smell the guilt rolling off of him, but she didn't mention it.

"Thank you for staying with him, Lēia." Neytiri whispered to the young girl as Lēia nodded, smiling at the older woman who looked drained. Jake pulled them all in for a hug, including Lēia. They left a small space for where Neteyam would be as Lēia heard several sobs escape Neytiri. The Sullys didn't deserve this. Lēia wished them all nothing but happiness.

Lēia was heartbroken as her and the Sullys swam up to the beach. The beach was scattered in the wounded and dead warriors. Lēia immediately noticed her family as Aonung turned around. "Lēia!" He shouted, running over to her with Tsireya, Ronal and Tonowari following close behind. The moment Aonung pulled his little sister into his arms, she broke. Several sobs escaped her mouth as she gasped for breaths. Aonung whispered sweet nothings into her ear, trying to calm the young girl down. "You are safe now, Lēia. It's over." Aonung looked up, still holding his sister close as he spotted Neytiri and Jake carrying a lifeless Neteyam onto the beach. Aonung's stomach dropped. He averted his eyes back to the floor, keeping Lēia even closer.

It was now the evening and the first funeral of many, was Neteyam's. Lēia had made it her mission to find Lo'ak before the ceremony. And she did. "Lo'ak!" She shouted, running over to the boy.

He was relieved to see Lēia, immediately pulling her in for a hug. "How are you feeling?" She asked, pulling away from the hug as she held onto his hand.

"I already miss him so much. I can still feel his presence everywhere I go." Lo'ak honestly spoke, looking over his shoulder as he noticed his family walking down towards the shore with Neteyam's body. Lēia watched the human boys motions, he didn't seem all to bothered. Lo'ak took a deep breath before looking back to Lēia. "I will talk to you after, I love you." He kissed her cheek before following after his family, pulling Tuk into his hands. Lēia walked over to the crowd, halting beside Aonung, Tsireya and Rotxo.

Lēia's eyes filled with tears as Neytiri, Jake, Lo'ak, Tuk, Kiri and the human floated into the water. Lēia only saw a glimpse of Neteyam, a sob escaping her mouth. She was going to miss him so much. Aonung held his sisters close, his eyes filling with tears.

Lēia watched as Lo'ak arose from the water, Tuk immediately going to his side as he sobbed. In thag moment, Lēia wanted nothing more than to go over to him and comfort her lover.

The Sully's remained in the water for a few more minutes before sharing condolences with Tonowair and Ronal. Lo'ak and Lēia seemed to have the same idea as they walked over to each other. Lo'ak immediately broke down as she held him close. She felt his endless tears roll down her back as she also began crying. "He is watching over you, ma Lo'ak." She whispered, lifting his head off of her shoulder. She held his face in her hands as his eyes glistened with tears. "And he would not want to see you cry." She wiped the remaining tears off of his face, sending a small smile to him.

Spider awkwardly appeared beside Lo'ak and Lēia, the boy predominantly smaller than the two na'vi's. "This is Spider. He likes to think he's a na'vi." Lo'ak joked as Spider playfully elbowed him. Lēia once again made eye contact with the human, noticing the same guilty shinning in his eyes.

"I'm Lēia." She responded, smiling at the boy. "Pretty name for a pretty girl." Spider horrendously winked as Lēia didn't react. Lo'ak lightly slapped the boy around the head. "She's my girlfriend, skxawng."

Lēia smiled to herself. This is how Neteyam would want Lo'ak to be. She knew he wouldn't want Lo'ak to be grieving him. Neteyam would want Lo'ak to move on with his life, to not be stuck on the death of his older brother. And Lēia was going to help him with that.
