Chapter 27:

Neil was feeling restless Neil saw his cell phone on the side table of the bed and picks that then he think.

Neil: should I call avni?

Neil think and dial her number he was about to call her but he stops.

Neil: what if she was sleeping of course she must be sleeping it's too late but what should I do I am feeling so restless i hope she is fine.

Neil was tensed.

In mehta house all were tensed neela maa was keeping the wet cloth on avni's head.

Ashish: neela we should take her to the hospital.

Neela maa: tomorrow is her wedding.

Ashish: so what neela you know avni's fever it didn't came down so easily.

Aman: mamma dad is right we should admit di to the hospital and also call jiju and tell him about her condition.

Ashish: they must be sleeping.

Nm: ashish i think aman is right we should tell them as you said avni's fever didn't come down so easily so it's their right to know about her condition and also we wi decide what to do next.

Ashish think they hear a beep in avni's phone neela maa was sitting on the bed besides avni she saw it's Neil's message.

Nm: Neil's message.

They look at each other neela maa picks the cell phone and reads.

Neela maa reads: hi avni sorry to disturb you I know it's too late but I just want to know about your health are you ok I don't know why but I am feeling restless if you are awake then please give me a reply only one message please.

Neela maa look at ashish he asked for phone she gives him the phone ashish think and he calls Neil on the other side Neil was waiting for the reply and his phone rings he shocked to see avni's number the fear took over him because he knew avni never call him he picks the call.

Neil: hhhhello.

Ashish: hello Neil.

Neil shocked.

Neil: uuuuncle you is everything alright aaavni is she fine?

Ashish: aa Neil she has fever.

Neil shocked.

Ashish: hello Neil hello.

Neil hears him.

Neil: yaa uncle i am coming uncle I am coming.

Neil cuts the call and went to the dressing table and picks the car keys he went to prakash and Shweta's room he knocks the door he was banging the door.

Neil: mom dad mom dad.

They wake up and saw the time it's 01:40am.

Shweta: Neil this time.

They again hear him.

Neil: dad.

Prakash: yaa son one minute.

Prakash open the door and Shweta also comes.

Prakash: what happened Neil?

Neil: dad dad avni has a fever ashish uncle called now and tell me about her fever

They shocked.

Prakash: if ashish called at this time of night then it must be a serious thing.

Shweta: we should go there tomorrow is wedding and avni has fever what will happen tomorrow.

Neil: mom forget about the wedding her health comes first.

Prakash: yes you are right come let's go there they need us.

Neil nods yes they went Neil was driving the car harshly he wanted to see her as soon as possible and it was late night so road was clear.

Prakash: Neil calm down drive slowly.

But Neil didn't listen he was very tensed soon they reached Neil get down from the car and run he claimed the stairs so fast then he came to the door of avni's room ashish and neela maa look at him he looks so tensed he came inside and was looking at avni Neela maa and ashish look at each other neela maa start crying because It is her daughter's wedding day she is laying there unconsciously.

Ashish: Neil.

Neil was looking at avni and went to her Neela maa gets up and caress his face he look at her prakash and Shweta also comes and saw avni Shweta went to avni riya gets up Shweta sits with avni and caress her hairs.

Prakash: how is avni now?

Ashish: still she has fever.

Neil: then why you are not taking her to the hospital what are you all waiting for.

Ashish: I talked to our family doctor she Said keep the wet cloth at her forehead and wait for morning if fever doesn't come down then take her to the hospital.

Neil: is she mad we have to take her to the hospital.

Nm: Neil she know about avni's medical history whenever avni fall ill we took her to that doctor and she know avni's fever doesn't come down so easily and she doesn't respond to any treatment her fever only comes down by keeping the wet cloth on her head don't worry son she will be fine.

Neil look at avni he sits besides her and get the cloth from her forehead and change he keep the other wet cloth on her forehead.

Prakash: but she was fine yesterday  when we went from here then what happened suddenly.

Neil turns his face to them.

Ashish: doctor said may be it happened because of tiredness as she was busy first for preparation of marriage then the function so it might be the reason even she said usually girls take stress during their wedding days as they were going to start a new life new family so it's normal but we are worried because we know how bad her fever is that's why I called Neil and told him everything sorry for bothering you.

Prakash: no what are you saying you did right we are like family now if we will not come for help then who will come.

Ashish smiles after two hours Neil maa checks the fever.

Nm: it's 100 now.

All thank God Neil took a deep breath by closing his eyes and thank God then he look at avni.

Nm: Neil Shweta prakash ji you all must be tired so go to the guest room and take rest I am with avni.

Neil: no aunty I am not going anywhere I will be with her till she don't open her eyes.

Nm: but Neil.

Neil: please.

She sighs.

Shweta: yes neela we live here with you.

Nm: ok.

The whole night passed Neil didn't even move from his place Neil neela maa and Shweta were keeping the wet cloth on her forehead wipes her foot arms and hand again neela maa check her fever.

Nm: thank God she don't have fever now.

All smiles Neil too smiles but Neil was thinking what happened all of a sudden then doctor came and check her.

Dr: she is fine now but she might have weakness because of fever so give her these medicines on time ok.

Ashish nods and takes the prescription from her.

Neil: but why she didn't open her eyes till now.

Dr: don't worry she will wake up in one and two hours.

Neil: ok.

Ashish: come I will drop you.

Dr: it's ok I will go.

Ashish: Aman go with her.

He nods they went.

Neil: uncle give it to me I will get the medicine

Ashish: don't worry Neil aman will go.

Neil nods he doesn't want to leave avni after sometime avni stir Neil was sitting with her he smiles then he get up he thought she might not like it so he gets up avni open her eyes and saw Neil first he smiles to see her avni runs her eyes around and saw all are standing there and Shweta is sitting besides her.

Avni: what happened why you all are standing here.

Neela maa sits with her and caress her hairs and kiss her forehead.

Nm: thank God you open your eyes.

Avni was weak she looks at her.

Avni: what do you mean?

Nm: you know you scared all of us.

Avni frown.

Nm: you had fever last night and you was unconscious too we were so scared baby.

Avni was looking at her then she look at neil.

Neil: how are you feeling now?

Avni: fine.

Neil: good you want something juice and all.

Avni nodes no Neil gives her a look.

Nm: what no you have to eat something today is your wedding avni.

Avni shocked Neil was looking at her.

Neil: I think we should postpone the wedding.

All shocked.
