Chapter 37:

Neil came back and saw avni is still sleeping he frown.

Neil: she is still sleeping is she fine?

Neil went to her and touch her forehead and sigh.

Neil: thank God she don't have fever then why she is still sleeping.

Neil think.

Neil: we slept late last night may be that's why she is sleeping till now Neil let her sleep it's better she wake up her own.

Neil look at her then he went to take shower after that avni open her eyes and saw Neil is not on the couch she rub her eyes and sit on the bed she saw the time.

Avni: 7:47 how can I sleep this much.

She think.

Avni: oh no today I had to go with Neil for jogging avni how could you do this how can you forget about it you should had set the alarm but where is he. He didn't came till now.

Avni hears the shower sound and understand he is taking shower then Avni think and see the blur flashes of last night when Neil console her.

Avni: why I am feeling he was with me last night did i blunder last night or i blabber something in my sleep.

Avni was thinking Neil came by wiping his hairs with the towel he look at her and smiles.

Neil: good morning.

Avni look at him.

Avni: morning.

Neil smiles.

Avni get up and went to him she was looking down and rubbing her hands and palm with her thumb Neil look at her then at her hand then again at her.

Neil: do you want to say something?

Avni look at him then think she was looking down.

Avni: I I am sorry.

Neil frown.

Neil: sorry for what?

Avni: I break my promise I said you I will come with you for jogging but I forget about that.

Neil smiles.

Neil: of ho wifey don't feel guilty for these small things it's ok it happened and you was sleeping that's why I didn't wake you up and we slept late last night so it's normal to wake up late and honestly speaking It was my mistake i knew about our wedding reception so I should make the plan of some other day but I couldn't denny them so I got agreed and you woke up on right time it's not late i should thought about it that we will sleep late and get tired so make the plan some other day It was all my mistake.

Avni: no it was not your mistake as you said it happens and don't defend me every time I know it was my mistake i should set the alarm or told you that I am tired we will go some other day.

Neil smiles.

Neil: you are my wifey if I will not defend you then who will defend you hmm.

Avni smiles.

Avni: you are spoiling me then don't complain later.

Neil: I will love that even I am waiting for that day when you throw tantrums and I will bear them.

Avni smiles then she remember her childhood incident she saw the flash images of a man and a girl was in his arms.

Man: what you want baby?

Man 2: don't spoil her.

Man: oh she is my princess don't worry I love to bear her tantrums.

Avni was lost.

Neil: avni.

No response.

Neil: avni.

She came out of her thoughts.

Neil: what happened where was you lost?

Avni shook her head Neil frown she went to cupboard Neil was looking at her then she went to the washroom.

Neil: what happened to her she was all ok and was talking with me then suddenly what happened?

Avni was in the washroom she throw the dress on the stool and breathes heavily she on the wash basin tap and wash her face and look at the mirror and again saw the same images and rub her face arms neck she was feeling disgusted she sit on the floor and cries Neil hears her sob and shocked he went to the door of washroom and knock avni shocked.

Neil: avni are you ok?

Avni cries she keep the hand on his mouth.

Neil: avni avni.

Avni wipes her tears and gulps she took a deep breath.

Neil: avni answer me I am worried.

Avni: yaa I I am fine.

Neil: are you sure?

Avni was crying.

Avni: yaa.

Neil: but your voice is saying something else.

Avni: I I am fine don't worry.

Neil was not satisfied but what will he do he went to the couch and was thinking.

Neil: avni why you are not sharing your pain why you are holding it to yourself and giving you more pain avni once tell me the truth I promise I will make everything fine.

Neil think after sometime avni came back Neil was sitting on the couch he look at her she avoid eye contact but Neil understand by seeing her eyes he think and decides to not bother her because he know she will not share that with him avni was getting ready and sobs Neil close his eyes then he looks away he can't see her crying then after getting ready she came to the couch but didn't say anything Neil look at her he understand and get up.

All were having the breakfast all notice avni is quite she was quite always but they notice she is not smiling.

Shweta: avni are you ok?

Avni look at her and smiles Neil didn't look at avni.

Avni: yes mummy ji I am fine.

Shweta: did you cried.

Avni was looking at her then she look down.

Shweta: did Neil said any thing to you?

Avni: no no he didn't said anything please don't say anything to him.

Neil smiles all smiles also.

Shweta: then what happened avni if Neil said anything to you then tell me i will see him.

Avni: no he didn't do anything.

Bebe: seems like you are defending your husband.

All smiles.

Neil: no bebe actually she is missing her family right avni.

Avni look at him he smiles avni understand he is defending her she smiles to see him.

Shweta: we can understand avni it happened but we are also your family right spent time with us you will feel happy.

Avni smiles all had the breakfast avneil came in their room.

Avni: thank you.

Neil: for what?

Avni: for handling the situation.

Neil smiles.

Neil: wifey I told you many times don't say thank you it's my duty to defend you.

Avni smiles.

Neil: oh yaa I forgot to tell you that tomorrow uncle and aunt will not come for jogging actually they are going to meet their son so they will come back after some days so we will go to meet them some other day ok.

Avni nods then she went to the bed and sit Neil was looking at her.

Neil in mind: you was opening up but don't know what happened that you took your step back.
