* Vish = Vishal

Akshitha POV:

Today we were announced to get ready for an emergency meeting, god knows why? And I hope it goes smoothly because the last week meeting was hell rough.

The reason is, The silliest government I have ever witnessed in my life.

" How can we be responsible, when an animal from the mountains attacks a common man?"

We have already given out clear cut instructions, warnings for the people to not roam around 6.00pm - 7.00 am but they never cared, risked their own life being careless and how are we supposed to be the reason for their death?

The public and government blamed us that we haven't guarded the National park with tight security system.

"Really??"

I lost my patience and ended up yelling in the meeting, yearned glares from the senior officials due to my stupid behaviour. And their looks were ready to fry me in the oil pan.

Thank god, Vish pulled me down to the seat, smacked the back of my head to regain the sense or else right now I would have been in the street searching for a new job.

"Back to Earth" Vish spoke in a raspy voice, shooking my inners.

I yelled at him and pinched his arms, teaching him some manners," How to communicate with girls?"

"Ouch!! " he rubbed his arm, stroking the skin to soothe the pain. "Devil, you were woolgathering." He spoke in gritted teeth.

"A wrong is wrong. kindly, accept the point that you were sounding rude Vishal." Anyways, I will be preaching you some manners, which will might be helpful for your future. I taunted.

He gestured zipping his mouth and bowed, " Yes, Madam."

"Good boy." I patted his shoulders playfully.

And we heard knock on the door, disturbing our, " Learn some manners - special course".

The Attendant informed us to gather in the conference room to attend the meeting which will be held 10 minutes. He gave us a piece of a word and exited the room.

I gathered my notepad and my lucky pen for the meeting. As usual, Vish came swinging his hands in the air.

"You will never change." I shook my head, disapprovingly to his face.

I will never change my habits for someone who isn't worth my time. He told, wiggling his eyebrow.

"All right."

We left for the conference room. It was empty.

Vish said, " It seems we are too early for the meeting."

It is always good to be punctual. I sat in the corner of the table. Tapping the chair next to mine, for him to sit.

"A typical girl." He sighed.

"Vish!! Can you do me a favour?"

"Of course." His batted his lashes sweetly.

For Akshitha's sake, will you please shut your mouth, for the rest of the day? I smirked.

When a young kind lady commands, it looks appealing.

Duh. " Try this line for a girl." I scowled.

"Are you not a girl??" He asked shockingly.

"I am." But it doesn't work on me. " I'm your teacher so your cheap tricks won't work on me, save it for the other girls. Okay." Do you understand? I asked.

He nodded his head. " Yes, mam," he saluted.

We heard several footsteps, soon the room got occupied with officials and meeting started.

" We cordially invite the young aspirants to attend The International Animal Rights Conference, held on 14 July 2018 at Paris."

A senior head officer, read the official announcement and it was followed by a short discussion forum.

I got fascinated and nudged Vish to join along with me to Paris. At first place, he refused but later agreed to me since I told I will be offering him a spl.treat in lavish Diner.

He immediately agreed to my terms and we enrolled our names. The meeting ended successfully by God's grace.

Evening Vish dropped me at the end of my street, I bid him bye and walked to my house.

Being exhausted I fell asleep on the couch on my stomach.

A loud music disturbed my beauty sleep. "Who the hell is that?" Cursingly I picked the mobile from my bag and attended the call.

"Hello"

"Princess!!"

Dad!!! Wassup?? How are you?

You are sounding low, Princess. What is the need to work when Dad can do anything for you?

"Even break the mountains?" I asked teasingly.

I can. Just order, princess. Dad said.

Money isn't a problem, dad. It is my life, I have goals to achieve and it gives me peace- The work.

"Agreed." He laughed.

Dad, I have a great news to share. Next week, I'm flying to Paris to attend,
The International Animal Rights Conference. I'm excited.

Wow. All the best, dear. " Is Vishal guarding you?"

Yup, dad. So don't worry about me. I will be in the hand of martial art master.

Then, Fine. I will be breathing freely.

Ok, dad. Good night. Miss you all. Take care.

Bye, Princess. Be careful.

One week later:

Airport :

I and Vish were standing in the queue to get our luggage checked. I was busy in checking the notifications in the mobile but it got interrupted by a firm yet a gentle tone. " Akshitha!!"

Dad!!!!! Mommmmmm!!!! Sammmmm!!

"Surprise, they said in unison."

I ran to towards them forgetting where I was standing. Eww. All the eyes were on me. God, I hate attention. Struggling with my steps I reached them.

I and mom shared a strong, longing hug. She pressed me more into her. I hid in her arms. She sniffed. " Missed you!!!"

Sam irritated, pulling my hair from the ponytail.

Arghh... I gave him a sharp elbow punch.

Ouch!! You're a Feisty girl.

Never mess a girl's hair. I warned.

Vish joined my family. He sought blessing from my father and mother. It is a traditional custom of North Indians but we don't encourage this habit. Especially I don't.

We enjoyed having a small family time and It was time to board the flight, I bid them bye giving a longlasting hug.

Paris :

The conference went smoothly, we tried to get contacts from worldwide NGOs and signed petitions too. This conference was like a cherry on top of the cake for my career. It was full of benefits. Two days passed in a blink of an eye.

Today we planned to visit The famous Eiffel tower and other spots.

I got ready in plain tee and denim, Just curled my hair at the ends, applied light make up and exited the room.

I knocked on Vish's door and continued my undying habit of pressing the calling bell until the room door gets opened.

"What the??" He cursed me while opening the door.

Hey, Idiot. Did you see the time? We are getting late. Hurry up or else I will drop the plan of treating you a lavish dinner.

"Food is important", he scurried inside the room to get dressed and I was waiting outside the room like a peon.

He came back wearing a plain black shirt and blue jean, hair messed yet stylish. He wore a sunglass. That is when I realised I forgot to pack them. Oh no...

What is it? He asked.

"Will you remove the shades? " I spitted fire.

"No way. I love them." He replied.

I was just giving you a suggestion. This shade doesn't suit you. You're looking like a Beggar. I ran outside the restaurant giving a filty comment.

Then we reached the destination, did shopping, took several snaps and enjoyed the climate in the Paris. It was a sunny day still the breeze was cold. I loved the feeling.

Next, we hurried to fill our hungry tummies. This fella, Vish has planned to empty my wallet I suppose. He ordered various dishes and I kept on blinking at him instead of relishing my own food.

Lastly, he patted his stomach and gave me a sheepish smile. " How about dessert?"

"My foot. Are you a homo sapien sapiens?"

"Of course." Don't you see, I have two legs, two arms, one mouth, a nose and two eyes. One solid head.

Duh, but no brain. I stuck out the tongue.

Vish ignored my comment and ordered, Île flottante aka floating Island.

I rejoiced the essence of the custard vanilla which was rustic and sweet. The drizzle of caramel and the grated almond gave away the final touching in the dessert. It was astounding. My taste buds got aroused and asked for more.

Vish gave me a wink and we order another one and shared it, separately.

I paid the bill, we walked out of the restaurant talking random stuff. Aimlessly I hit a person and he turned back to shout but I frozed looking at his face.

I forgot to blink, the brain turned blank.

He just spelt my name. " Akshitha!!"

The person I wished to meet was standing before me calling out my name sweetly but I was not ready to face him. It was like a nightmare. I began to run.

He trailed after me but I ran away until my legs turned jelly. Thank god, he failed to reach me in time. I hired a cab, reached my suite, rolled in my bed into a ball. Tears trailed down my cheeks.

Why?

How?

Is he real?

Immediately I ringed to my mother-in-law.

Hello, Mom. How are you? We exchanged pleasantries. She asked about my conference and I prepared my guts to share the shocking news with her.

Actually, today I met him.

Whom, dear? She asked.

Varun.

She never spoke a word. Silence is the only communication we shared.

Mom, Are you there? I asked clutching the phone tightly against my ears.

"Stay away from my son." She hung the call.
