I couldn't help but keep fiddling around, unnecessarily. My nerves just wouldn't allow me to calm down and relax and so here I was, standing in front of my father's office, once again.

I knocked twice on the door before allowing myself inside, a habit I had but my father didn't really complain so I never stopped. Closing the door behind me, I glanced around the room and found him sitting by the coffee table, scrolling through his work iPad.

"Good morning, dad," I greeted, coming up to him and taking a seat opposite from the man who finally placed his iPad to the side.

"Hello, Jisoo. Did you sleep well?" He asked, reaching out to pick up his cup of tea. He gestured towards the biscuits next to it and I didn't hesitate to grab one.

"A bit, I've been really curious about the choreographer results." I admitted, biting into the ginger cookie.

"Ah, yes," My father places his tea down only to pick up his iPad and search through it's files. "Apparently they all really liked Lisa Manoban's performance so I decided to watch it for myself and I just say, she captured their song quite well."

My eyes lit up as I beamed a bright smile. "So Lisa's gonna get the part?"

He nodded. "Miss Manoban and Mr. Jung are going to be Supernova's choreographer for the first two songs, I can see you're quite ecstatic about the news."

I shook my head in agreement, standing up from the leather seat. "I am, thanks dad! I'll see you later!"

"Hold up, Jisoo," He called out to me just as I was about to leave the room. "I believe you and that Lisa girl know each other?"

I grimace at his guess but nods and turns around to face him. I nervously fiddles with the sleeves of my blazer, knowing very well what's to come next.

He lets out a sigh and I can clearly sense the disappointment laced in it. I couldn't help but avert my attention to the floor. "Jisoo, you know when it comes to business you shouldn't favor friends— Ah, I've said this so many times... When will you learn."

I bite the inside of my cheeks, I remember what happened in the past with my father and his friend and knew he had good reason to think like this. I glanced up to him, locking eye contact.

"I know, dad. But you're not gonna—"

"No, sweetie. Lisa Manoban is quite talented, she'll still get the part. I just wanted to remind you." He smiles at me, a warm and friendly smile that I returned.
