Chapter 11

The King was massive. About two cliffs tall, and three cliffs long. He had a long tail, huge wings, and two powerful talons. His scales were a pure white, with a golden trim along his underbelly. Each head had a different eye color, ranging from blue, red, and yellow. " With my side of the Dragon Heart, I can control this beast! I only need yours to completely control the Queen! Hand it over!" Drake called from atop the massive dragon. " Shrimp! Get to the portal! NOW!" Aegis screamed, ignoring Drake and leaping into the sky. Milo ordered Shadow to head to the portal, and he rocketed away with Aegis following behind. Forge and Millie were standing beside it already, fear glazing their eyes. " Go! Hurry!" Aegis ordered them, and they quickly disappeared. She landed on the plateau, her wings giving out from going so fast. " Aegis!" Shrimp fretted, passing her as Shadow bolted past. " Go! I'll be fine!" She called back, beginning to run. Suddenly, the weight of Drake was launched atop her back, and she stumbled to the ground. " No!" Shrimp cried, leaping off as soon as Shadow landed beside the portal. " Block the entrance!" Drake commanded the Aliens as they grappled up the cliff. The King flapped into view, raising his heads up. " Milo, wait, don't!" Shrimp screeched, and Aegis noticed Milo drag him into the portal, disappearing. " Block it. Nobody goes in. Nobody goes out." Drake snarled, and Aegis realized she was alone. A glimpse of a smile had crept across Milo's face when he shoved Shrimp away, and Aegis had saw it. " You gonna hand over that necklace now?" Drake hissed in her ear, snapping her from her thoughts. " Fine... here..." Aegis sighed, reaching into her satchel. Drake leapt off her, sitting a short distance away.
" Sike!" Aegis whirled around, clutching an empty Stone, and hurled it at his snout. Drake fell back with a yelp, scrambling his paws at his muzzle. Leaping into the sky, Aegis beat her aching wings, not knowing where to go.
