The following day Shadyshade and Devilscar asked Boldstar to accompany them on a hunt. The oblivious leader happily accepted, but on one condition: Specialpaw had to come with.

The two conniving schemers foolishly agreed.

"I think we should hunt in the northern side of the territory." Specialpaw said, although she had little knowledge of the terrain.

"Of course!" Exclaimed Boldstar, even though the west border was ideal for hunting and they shouldn't know what the directions are.

Once they reached the sunny forested area, Devilscar attacked his leader.

"How could you?" The naïve cat wondered.

"I'm evil." Devilscar cackled

Shadyshade join the assault. Specialpaw could've helped, but a thorn in her paw distracted her.

"This thorn hurts so much." she whined as Shadyshade clawed at Boldstar's jugular.

She struggled to remove it from her pad as Devilscar mangled her leader's ear. Boldstar groaned and hissed boisterously in agony. "COULD YOU KEEP IT DOWN I AM TRYING TO FOCUS." She screeched at the top of her lungs.

"Sorry." Boldstar replied in a muffled whimper.

When she finally freed it, the noble tom was already dead. His body was maimed beyond recognition.

Then Boldstar's murders turned on her.
