(Sonia's POV)

I looked around in the helicopter I'm in. I have my hands cuffed behind me with several guards standing around me. I started to tap my foot on the floor.

Sonia: So would you guys care to explain why you captured me like this?

They just stayed silent. Great, the silent treatment. That's fine, if I won't be given a reason why I'm here, then I won't have a reason to stay here. I saw one of the guards turn to look at his buddies.

Guard 1: I'm going to call in with H.Q., tell them we captured the hedgehog.

Guard 2: Roger that.

The guard walked away and went into a different area of the plane, leaving the rest of the guards to watch. I started to move my hands around and managed to slip one of them out of the handcuffs. I smirked as I quickly kicked the back of the necks of the guards around me, knocking them out. I looked over and saw the guard walk back in.

Guard 1: What in the world?!

I saw the door to the plane and kicked it off, getting sent outside into the air. I managed to catch myself by grabbing onto a piece of metal holding some missiles.

Guard 1: Freeze! What do you think you're doing?! Get that hedgehog!

I pulled myself up and landed on top of the metal. I noticed a loose sheet of metal on the helicopter. I pulled it off, planning on using it as a skate board.

Sonia: Talk about low budget flights, no food or movies... I'm outta here! I like running better!

I put the board down and stepped onto it before jumped off of the helicopter and towards a city below me. I smirked to myself before spinning myself around, feeling the wind blowing past my face and through my quills.

Sonia: YYYYEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

After a bit of falling, I landed on a road and started to use the metal sheet as a board, riding down the road. I had to swerve out of the way of some driving cars as sparks flew out from the metal grinding against the road. I managed to collect a few rings while riding and almost hitting a few parked cars on my way.

Sonia: Wow, that was a close one.

I looked back to make sure I didn't damage anything. I bumped into the side of a parked car, making a small dent. I saw someone starts to shout at me as I rode past.

Sonia: Sorry!

I looked ahead and found a ramp on the side of the road. I went on it and jumped off it, gaining a lot of air. I did a quick trick before landing down on the ground. I got off the sheet of metal and started to run forward. I looked ahead and saw a robot land in front of me.

It definitely isn't an Eggman robot. Probably from those guys that captured me in the first place. The robot aimed its gun hand at me and fired a bullet. I dashed out of the way and went into a ball. I span at the robot, crashing it and destroying it in one hit. I saw some weird glowing stick come out of the wreckage of robot.

Sonia: No animal either? These guys have better equipment than I thought.

I continued to run ahead, not wanting to stay in place for more robots to catch up to me. I found a bunch of stairs with a hand rail in the middle of them. I jumped up and landed on the rail, grinding down on it. Right before I got to the end of the rail, I jumped up and saw a pole connected to a building. I grabbed onto the pole and started to swing around. I let go, making me go high up into the air. I landed on top of a short building. I looked around and saw a row of small flying robots heading towards me.

Sonia: They really don't want me escaping.

I jumped up and homed in on the robot in front. I bounced off it, causing it to get destroyed. I quickly dashed at the rest of the robots, destroying them. I landed on another road. I started to charge up a SpinDash and rolled forward at great speeds. I looked up at the sky and seeing more robots dropping down, trying to cut off several routes. Uncurling from my ball, I started to run up a building until I got to the top of it.

Sonia: Phew...

I heard something land behind me. I looked back and saw more of those robots and they pointed their gun arms at me. I smirked and stuck my tongue at them.

Sonia: Catch me if you can!

I quickly dashed off the building and went down an alleyway. I landed on some more rails, grinding down on them. I got off the rail when it ended, seeing that I can only go up a set of stairs. I ran up them and saw a barricade blocking the only exit. I saw a small gap at the bottom. I ran forward and started to slide, managing to slip underneath the barricade. I got back up and started to run down a road. I heard a really loud loud and a loud engine behind me. I looked back and saw a giant truck that is big enough to cover both lanes of the road. It started to drive at me as fast as it could. I started to outrun it, hearing it crashing and destroying cars.

Sonia: Now this is just insane!

I took some sharp turns to get on another road, but the truck swerved to get on the same road. I can't really shake this guy off of me. I looked ahead and saw a pathway that is too small for the truck to get through. I quickly dashed through it and I heard a loud crashing noise, most likely from the truck crashing to a halt. I made it to a small opening on a street. I looked up at the sky and say that it was dusk and was quickly turning into night.

Sonia: I had some fun with you guys, but this game of tag is getting boring.

Before I could leave, I saw a huge mech land on the street, being a couple of feet away from me.

I saw a person in the cockpit.

Soldier: Halt! The military needs you captured!

Sonia: The military?

Huh, you'd think they wouldn't want me after saving the world who knows how many times. I had my suspicions, but glad to know who exactly is after me. I pointed at the giant mech.

Sonia: So you finally decided to show up, eh? Okay, bring it on!

The mech jumped up as some thrusters on the back started to spew out flames, causing it to fly into the air. It flew around me and started to fire numerous bullets at me. I quickly dodged the bullets, getting out of the range of the mech. It soon landed and the big boxes on the shoulders opened up and started to fire several rockets at me. I jumped up and dodged them. I landed on one of the rockets and started to ride it in the air. I did a kick flip on the rocket and landed on the ground. The rocket continued to fly forward and hit the mech, causing it to stagger back for a moment.

Soldier: Ack! The suspect is more capable than anticipated!

The mech jumped up into the air and started to fly around again, trying to shoot me. I ran under the mech, making the guy having to swerve back around to face me. I wait until the mech fully faced me and then I jumped up and crashed into the cockpit, causing the glass to crack and the mech start to break in places. It caused a chain reaction, making the mech fall down to the ground as small explosions came out from the machine. It was now rendered useless. I made sure the guy inside was fine before starting to walk away.

Sonia: Hey, take care!

I let out a small sigh.

Sonia: Man, that was a total pain in the- What?!

I looked over at the destroyed mech and saw a woman with hedgehog ears standing on top of the rubble.

???: It all starts with this...

She pulled something out of a pocket and held it up into the air.

???: A jewel containing the ultimate power...

I looked closely and it was the green Chaos Emerald. She just stared at the gem.

Sonia: That's the... Chaos Emerald! Now I know what's going on!

I shouted at her, causing her to look down at me as I started to walk towards the mech she's on.

Sonia: The military has mistaken me for the likes of you! So... Where do you think you're going with that emerald?!

She stayed silent, just staring at me like I'm just wasting her time. I started to run directly at her.

Sonia: Say something! You fake hedgehog!

She tossed the emerald in the air and caught it in her hand.

???: Chaos Control!

A bright green light came from the emerald until she suddenly flew past me. I stopped myself and turned around to face her. She is standing on top of a building.

Sonia: Wow... She's fast! Wait, that wasn't her speed. She must be using the Chaos Emerald to warp!

???: My name is Shadow. I'm the world's ultimate life form. There's no time for games... Farewell.

A bright light came from the emerald again, making me shield my eyes from it. She must've warped again. I gotta catch up to her and get that Chaos Emerald from her fast.

Sonia: Shadow... What is she?

Before I could move, I heard a bunch of sirens and a spotlight shining on me. I looked and saw a bunch of those robots and armed guards staring at me.

Gaurd: Don't move! Stay where you are! Keep your hands up in the air!

Sonia: Ugh, not again...

I put my hands up in the air, a bit too exhausted at the moment to make another escape.

(Readers POV)

Me and Tails are watching some tv. I was just flipping through the channels, trying to find something that interested both of us to watch. He got onto a news station.

News Reporter: Breaking News! The hero, Sonia the Hedgehog has just been arrested for robbing a bank and destroying official military buildings.

(Y/N) and Tails: WHAAAAATTT?!?!?!

Me and Tails looked at each other to make sure we both saw and heard the same things. The news station showed some footage of some kind of blur doing what the reporter said.

(Y/N): Sonia did all that?! Why?!

Tails: There's no way she did! She must've been framed!

(Y/N): So what do we do?!

Tails: Easy, we help Sonia get out of whatever situation she's been put in!

I nodded at Tails as she made sure to get ready. She recently fixed the Tornado 2 back into working order and was getting it ready to take off. I was expecting that tonight was going to be relaxing and quiet, not hearing that Sonia was apparently a criminal. I heard the Tornado 2 turn on, making me look over.

Tails: We're ready for takeoff!

(Y/N): Alright. Let's get going.

I got into the back seat and Tails jumped into the pilot seat. The huge door on her workshop opened and she flew out of it, making us go into the air.

(Y/N): Hey Tails?

Tails: Hm? Yeah (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Just wanting to make sure... Sonia didn't do that, right?

Tails: Of course not! I've known her for a long time and I know she would never do any of that!

(Y/N): Okay, just making sure.

Tails: Why? Do you not trust her?

(Y/N): I just haven't known her as long, y'know? I just wanted your confirmation is all.
