In another part of the city, Luz and Eda returned to the cafe.

"Did you not close up the shop before taking me to train?" Luz asked.

"I... thought I did."

Eda and Luz came to a stop before the cafe, seeing the door was wide open. Eda quickly got out, and Luz was ready. Luz jumped through and fired a web at anyone that would be inside, sticking them to the wall.

"Impressive." Willow said as her and Gus were stuck to the wall, "Can we talk about this whole... you being the vigilante in the news now?"

"And if this stuff comes out of your body or some cool tech." Gus added.

"Kid, what you better thinking about is if I'll press charges when I call my police sister." Eda said, glaring at the two for breaking and entering her cafe.

"Don't do that Aunt Eda!" Luz said, "They are literally two of my only friends!"

"Fine, I'll excuse this... this time." Eda said, pulling a knife out.

"Wait, wait, wait! Why do you have that?!" Gus shouted in worry.

"To cut you idiots free. What? You think I'm gonna gut you?" Eda asked, walking to the web.

"I mean...you're within your right but thank you for NOT killing us." Willow said.

"Hey, I'm not some crazed killer." Eda said.

Luz gave her a look.

"I'm crazed, not a killer." Eda said, cutting the web off.

Willow and Gus fell to the ground as Luz looked the cafe door and closed the blinds.

"Okay, aside from the stupid breaking and entering JUST to talk to me instead of using a phone..."

"We didn't think you would answer." Willow said as she got up.

"I would've!" Luz said, "... Probably."

"Then where is it right now?" Willow said, unconvinced.

"In my pock-" Luz paused as she felt her pocket, only finding air. "...It's in my room."

"Well it doesn't matter because we're here and we're talking about this."

"And we're not leaving until we get the whole story!" Gus shouted.

"So... you remember when I got that bug bite when we were at Blight Industries?" Luz asked, "Well, shorty after it, I... was able to do this."

Luz jumped up and stuck to the ceiling.

"So you got powers the comic book way?! OH I am so jealous!" Gus shouted.

"Gus, focus." Willow scolded.

Luz dropped down from the ceiling.

"So, that's what I've been going through."

"And how have you been dealing with this vigilante stuff?" Willow asked.

"Fine./Poorly." Luz and Eda said at the same time.

"Luz, you can barely handle this stuff, you've done this vigilante thing twice so far." Eda said, "Once when you tried to get your mother's murder, and then at the school, you are a LONG way from doing things fine."

"I can adjust quickly!" Luz argued.

"Kid, you can't. Which is why I'm helping you shape up in the first place." Eda said before looking to Gus and Willow. "And I assume you both will be doing the same or else."

"Of course! We just wanted to know how this began and why?" Gus said, waving his hands innocently.

Luz's face turned dark.

"I want to make sure nothing like what happened to me happens to anyone else." Luz said.

"But you can't do it alone, right?" Willow said.

"I can but I hate to admit that I can't." Luz said, shaking her head. "I'm still new to this, both these powers and just friends in general. I need to become someone else. I need to be this... person in a mask in order to be this person."

Luz walked upstairs to her room, leaving willow and Gus with Eda.

"So...You two going to buy anything or are you just gonna break, enter, and loiter?" Eda asked, looking at Gus and Willow.

"Well, we were planning on hanging out with Luz, but I don't think that's an option right now."

"Actually, I think you can and possibly be support for her behind the scenes when I can't." Eda said, getting an idea.

"We can?" Gus asked.

"What did you have in mind?" Willow asked.

"You two work for me in my cafe." Eda said with a grin.

"What? What do we know about doing something like that?"

"I can teach you the ins and outs. Plus, it's either this or I still call my police sister and have two arrested. So, what do you say?" Eda asked.

Yes, she has no problem, blackmailing children.

'I regret not leaving this alone now.' Willow thought blankly.

'I regret learning to pick locks now.' Gus thought with a whimper.
