i. defend your clan, even with your life.

ii. do not hunt or trespass in another clan's territory

iii. elders and kits must eat before the apprentices, and apprentices must eat after they have caught enough prey to feed them unless they have permission

iv. prey is killed only to be eaten, give thanks to spiritclan for it's life

v. a 'pad must be at least five moons to become a 'paws

vi. newly-appointed warriors must stand a night of silent vigil after being appointed warrior.

vii. a cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.

viii. the deputy will become leader when the current leader dies.

ix. after the death or retirement of the current deputy the new one must be chosen before sunrise.

x. once every six moons both clans will meet in the star hollow, where spiritclan will come down to meet them, and no fighting will be allowed in that time.

xi. boundaries must be checked and marked daily, and you must challenge all trespassing cats.

xii. no warriors must ignore a kit in need, even if it is not of their own clan.

xiii. the words of the leaders serve as the warrior code, as long as it itself is not broken

xiv. a honorable warrior does not need to kill a cat to win.

xv. a warrior rejects the soft life of a pet.

xvi. hunters are banned from fighting in battle, unless they have no other choice.

xvii. a warrior must not sabotage their own clan.
