Hope's POV

"Look, it's the Greenhaven castle," Zoron reported.

Sure enough, Hope spotted the huge castle, Greenhaven. She expected to feel relieved and happy but she felt more anxious. The closer they sailed to the castle, the more certain she was that something bad was going to happen. Zoron looked at her with concern.

"Hey, don't worry," Zoron reassured her and took her hand.

Some of the anxiety disappeared but she still felt worried. As they finally reached Greenhaven, she saw the others talking very excitedly.

"Finally, no more traveling by sea for a while," Ivan exclaimed and Jef nodded.

George sighed, "Finally, some rest time. No Conquerors trying to kill us."

The only one who wasn't talking was Eilene. She seemed to be in deep thought but her face was unreadable. As they got off the ship, she spotted Olvan with his moose.

"I'm glad you have arrived safely," Olvan said in a deep voice, "Do you have the talismans?"

"Yes," Eric replied, "All of them including the Bronze Eagle. We managed to get all the talismans back from the Conquerors."

"Excellent," Olvan said, "but I believe I have some bad news. Two of the Four Fallen with their partners have come back safely while the other two are still captured by the Conquerors along with some of the talismans."

"That's terrible," Zoey replied.

Hope knew something bad was going to happen but she was sure there was more to come.

"And there's one more," Olvan went on, looking sad, "Tarik, their guardian, had been killed by Gerathon the Serpent who have escaped her prison."

Hope was sitting beside Zoron as the funeral went on, the others sitting nearby. At the very front, she saw two boys, one was a Euran with blonde hair while the other was Amayan. She's guessing they were Conor, summoner of Briggan, and Rollan, summoner of Essix. Both of their heads were bowed low in grief as people came on the front to give their speeches.

On the side, she saw Eilene talking to Olvan quietly and then she pulled something out of her pocket. It looked like a necklace of some sort. Olvan looked surprise but he took the necklace and nodded to her.

After a couple more speeches, Olvan went up to speak.

"Tarik was a fine Greencloak so that's why I have chosen him to be the guardian of the Four Fallen," Olvan said, "We shall honor his memory with these talismans. The Silver Wolf, the Amber Leopard, the Bamboo Panda, the Copper Falcon, the Granite Ram, the Slate Elephant, the Golden Lion, the Coral Octopus, the Marble Swan, the Bronze Eagle, and the Obsidian Ape."

Hope froze. She didn't remember her and the other Keepers getting the Obsidian Ape and she was pretty sure the Four Fallen haven't went to Kovo the Ape for the talisman because he was imprisoned. The memory of Eilene giving Olvan the necklace came back to her mind.

Was it really a necklace?

"We shall thank the Four Fallen and their partners and the Ten Keepers of Greenhaven," Olvan finished and the crowd clapped.

Just then, Rollan stood up, "I'm sure Tarik would want to keep it reverent."

"Yes, of course," Olvan replied and the crowd was silent again.

"I would like to dedicate two of the talismans," Rollan went on, "the Coral Octopus and the Granite Ram for Tarik..."

He got up and placed the two talismans inside Tarik's empty coffin. Hope spotted Lenori silently walk to where Conor was. She whispered something to him and he nodded, casting a reluctant glance at Rollan. Then he followed Lenori outside the room.

Hope's thoughts went back to the necklace Eilene gave Olvan and the Obsidian Ape. She shook her head. Eilene had been with them the whole time so she couldn't have gotten the Obsidian Ape. But she grew more uncertain when she remembered about the figure she saw that night, climbing up the side of the inn. She knew that the figure was familiar, so familiar.

Just then, Rollan walked out the room and after several minutes, there seemed to be a commotion going outside. Then there was a loud boom and a crocodile broke into the room. A boy with blonde hair was riding on top of the crocodile which was headed to where the talismans were.

"Stop him!" Rollan yelled, who ran after them, followed by Conor and a Niloan girl.

She realized it was Abeke, summoner of Uraza the Leopard for a huge leopard followed after her. Everyone rushed towards the crocodile and the mysterious rider. Hope guessed that he was the Reptile King because of the huge crocodile but she got confused. General Gar had died so did that mean that he wasn't the Reptile King at all?

Everyone tried to stop the crocodile and the rider but the mysterious boy had snatched the talismans. His crocodile disappeared and he ran to a nearby window. Just then, a huge eagle had appeared and the boy quickly got on the eagle and flew away with all the talismans. Almost all of the talismans. One of the talismans had fell from his hands, the Amber Leopard. Eilene, who was nearest took the talisman.

"Good thing we didn't lose that one," George said.

"Here, give it to me," Olvan said.

But to their surprise, she didn't move. Then she slowly removed her cloak and looked at them with a cold, unreadable expression.

"Eilene?" John asked, confusion written all over their faces.

That's when realization hit Hope. She knew who she saw that climbed on the side of the inn that night. She knew who was the spy.

Oh my gosh! I can't say anything just yet but I can guarantee you that there will be more surprises coming up next! We are also nearing the end if you haven't noticed. Please vote and leave a comment on what you think. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
