Irene's POV

They followed Vhon as he lead them through the secret entrance and down a dark, spiraling staircase, a few torches lighting the way. They finally emerged into a small room, a small table in the very middle with a lamp lighting the room. A couple of books were on the table and Vhon walked towards the table, picking up one of the books.

"As you may have known," Vhon spoke, "The Wyrm is infecting the Evertree, Kovo is saving the world, the Staff of Cycles is the weapon. I know everything that you know and perhaps more."

"Who are you?" Irene asked, still suspicious of him.

"My name is Vhon, if you haven't known," Vhon replied, "And you might've heard of us from someone. I am a Dream Bringer or to be more specific, a Dream Bringer in training."

She felt everyone froze as they stared at him in shock and disbelief. Shane told them about the Dream Bringers who were stopped by the Greencloaks a long time ago. They thought that they were the ones sending them the dreams as well but Irene was having a hard time believing that this guy is one of them.

"I...I don't believe it," Irene exclaimed, shaking his head.

"You had a dream about a black egg, also known as the Wyrm," Vhon said, "A glittering staff which is the Staff of Cycles, and the two stars cut in half, am I correct?"

All she could do is nod, still processing everything that he just said.

"I've been sent here by my mentor to look for the compasses," Vhon went on, "You don't know how important those compasses are. They hold the fate of Erdas."

"We kinda know that already," Ivan said.

"What was unexpected to us was that you've reached the compasses first," Vhon said, slightly confused.

"Weren't you guys the ones who sent the dreams?" Abeke asked.

"Well, we sent dreams to three people," Vhon replied, "but we didn't send dreams to the rest of you. So that must mean that someone else have been sending dreams to you but who. Unless..." His eyes widened and his gaze snapped back to us, "Who told you about us? Who mentioned the Dream Bringers to you?"

"I told them about the Dream Bringers," Shane spoke, "but a friend of mines told me about the Dream Bringers to tell to the others."

"What's her name?" Vhon asked.

Irene was surprised that he said "her". Did he know that it was Eilene?"

Shane glanced hesitantly at Abeke and Rollan, "Her name is Lin."

Rollan noticed the hesitant glance he gave them, "You lied."

"We Redcloaks have names to hide our true identity," Shane replied, "So that in fact is not a lie."

"Then what's her real name?" Vhon asked.

"Uh, no offense but we just met you," Shane replied.

"You need to tell me," Vhon replied, sounding a bit desperate, "Because this is very important. We need to know who had been sending the dreams to you all."

Shane still hesitated.

Vhon sighed then spoke, "She's alive, isn't she?"

The Keepers looked at her in shock and Shane was silent.

Then he replied, "Yes. She is."

John's POV

He didn't know where he was. He didn't know what happened next. The last thing he remembered was Eilene looking at him with deep sadness then a fog covered his vision. He tried fighting it but it kept on covering his vision. He couldn't see or hear a thing but at times, he could hear Eilene saying something and his vision would clear a bit but the fog kept on covering his vision.

He didn't know what happened next after that. Then he started seeing images of his dreams. The Wyrm, the Staff of Cyles, the two stars cut in half. Then he saw his father Gerald, the Lord of Gaundor and to his surprise, he saw Derek as well. Then he saw Zoey, Jef, Ivan, Irene, Hope, Riley, Zoron, George, then Eilene. He heard all of their voices, talking at the same time but he couldn't make out the words. Then he heard voices of people he have heard of before and voices he have never heard of before.

Out of all the voices, a deep voice stood out the most.

"Two must become one to move on. Ten must become one to face the threat. Sixteen must become one to defeat the Wyrm. Ten and Four must join with Two to save Erdas."

The prophecy. Eilene had told them about the prophecy before but for some reason, John had heard of those same words before. Then a flashback came into his mind.

The dream of the Wyrm, the Staff of Cycles, and the two stars cut in half came into his mind again. Then the words of the prophecy echoed in his mind before he woke up, breathing heavily on his bed in Eura. That time, he had stopped to take a break from being a Greencloak after the Second Devourer War. He got up and started walking out his house to get some fresh air. Cold air met him as he step outside his small cottage when a familiar voice got his attention.

"John!" that's when he spotted George and Riley.

They began telling him the news and the dream left his mind. He hadn't had the dream until he attacked Eilene, almost killing her in the process. The dream immediately left his mind because of his worries for Eilene. The dream then came back into his mind today. He knew that he had had the dream long before but one question remained in his mind.

Why me?

So Vhon is a Dream Bringer and he seemed to know that Lin was actually Eilene. Who was the three people that the Dream Bringers sent the dream to? Who is the mysterious person who had been sending dreams to the Keepers? And how did John get the dream before the others?
