I'm really sorry that I haven't updated for a while. I was staying at a place where there was no wifi but i've been writing so hopefully these chapters are enough!

I know some of you guys are reading this but only 2 or 3 are voting and commenting. Please don't be afraid to comment. (I don't bite)

Btw, I've written an interview for my characters in "The Ten Keepers" so if you have any questions or dares for the characters, please comment in that story.

Enjoy!

John's POV

They've been walking for who knows how long and they were starting to get exhausted.

"I can't walk anymore," John exclaimed, falling into a sitting position.

"You can't walk or you don't want to?" Lin asked before sitting down as well.

"I guess we better rest for a while," Haley decided and everyone sat down.

No one talked and it started to get awkward as they just sat there.

"So..." John spoke, "There's this question that I've wanted to ask someone ever since she somehow was risen back to life."

Everyone's gaze darted to Lin who flinched. Haley watched with curiosity.

"Risen back to life?" Haley asked, confused and curious.

"Remember when we said there were Ten Keepers?" John said, "One of them died then came back very much alive a year later after the war."

"Who is this Keeper who died?" Haley asked again.

"Well, her name is Eilene," John answered, "The first time I met her she was..."

His voice trailed off when he saw Lin glaring at him that says, "Don't you dare say another word."

"She was very annoying," John went on.

"Sure it wasn't the other way around?" George asked making a couple of them chuckle.

"She was annoying to me," John exclaimed, "Anyways we became friends of course because of socializing more."

"By socializing do you mean by arguing and fighting?" Zoron said.

"That's how we got closer," John replied, "By arguing and fighting. She was also...very confusing. The night before she betrayed us all-"

"She betrayed you?" Hale exclaimed.

"Er, yeah but I don't even know what to believe anymore," John sighed, "The night before that she says she cares. The day after that she betrays us and when we meet again in the war her own father gave his life to save our mentor and guardian. Then the same day she dies and a year later she comes back as someone else and says she knows all the answers on defeating this Wyrm."

"She comes back as someone else?" Haley said, confused.

"I don't even know if she's Lin because I still see the Eilene I know," John replied.

Haley looked at Lin in shock who was looking somewhere else, "Lin was the one who betrayed you? Your guide?"

"We better go now," Lin said abruptly, "We're wasting time talking about nothing."

"This isn't nothing," John said, "I can't go on if we don't even know if we could trust you or believe you anymore."

Eilene flinched but he went on, "We need to know the truth. Who's side were you on, Eilene? Was it all a fake? Our friendship, our teamwork, was it all a fake or was it real?"

Everyone was looking at Eilene who hesitated.

Then she finally said, "I wasn't on anyone's side."

Riley's POV

"I do not like forests," Ivan muttered.

General Tai had agreed to let her father lead them to the lost city with a few other soldiers. They weren't on the path anymore and were somewhere in the dense forest. As they kept on walking, the forest became more dense and they started climbing up.

"You don't like it more than ships?" Riley asked, climbing beside him.

"I hate ships," Ivan replied, "And I dislike forests. Hate and dislike are different."

"Yet the same," Riley said, "I'm just glad we're exploring again."

"Did we have to explore on ships and climbing very dense forests and mountains?" Ivam muttered.

"Stop being so negative," Riley said, "Think positive."

"I'm positive that ships are the worse transportation in all of Erdas," Ivan replied.

Riley rolled her eyes but let out a smile as they kept on climbing.

"How much farther do we have to climb?" Jef asked who was having a really hard time climbing.

"Don't worry," Shen reassured them, "We've reached halfway up the mountains. Probably another two hours."

Everyone groaned and Zoey exclaimed, "Are you serious?"

They kept on climbing, talking, and complaining for who knows how long.

"I bet the others didn't have to climb up huge mountains," Jef said, "They get to go cave diving."

"I agree," Zoey added, "They're probably much better than we are."

"Try telling that to John and Eilene," Irene said, "I wonder how those two are doing."

Shen called the group to a halt. Right in front of them was a steep, brick wall that Riley almost didn't spot it because of the undergrowth around it.

"Is this it?" Ivan asked, hopefully.

"It's right on the other side of this huge wall," Shen answered then started getting ropes.

The Zhongese soldiers threw the ropes which had a grapple, on the other of the wall. Shen went up first, followed by another Zhongese soldier. The Zhongese soldier went down the other side while Shen stayed up on the wall. Irene went next, followed by Zoey and made it safely. Jef hesitated before going up next. Ivan, Riley and a couple of the Zhongese soldiers were left.

"You can go first," Ivan offered, "I'll be right behind you."

"Thanks," Riley replied and started climbing up the huge wall.

If she had time to think, she would've said no. She was not a fan of heights. She had made it up halfway when she suddenly slipped. Before she could go down any further, she felt hands on her back, steadying her. She didn't need to look to know that it was Ivan.

"Don't worry, I got you," Ivan said.

When they finally reached the other side, Riley smiled at him and said, "Thanks Ivan."

Ivan smiled back, "What are friends for?"

"Hey you guys," Zoey called to them, "You gotta check this out."

They followed Zoey through a bush and gasped. On the other side were buildings. They reached the lost city of Zhong.

Something going on between Ivan and Riley? Read on to find out the rest of Eilene's answer and if the other group finds the medal.
