A/N this poem was inspired by Jesus Culture's Dance with Me
"Dearly beloved, the bride is come!"
Shouts the minister, in a voice of joy.
Whispers of excitement fill the crowd,
As they prepare to welcome her.
The Bridegroom stands with anticipation;
Long were the days He has waited for this day to come.
He turns as the doors are opened,
In enters His bride - all covered in white;
The color of purity.
And so the Two are made One flesh
The Bridegroom puts forth His hand saying:
"Dance with Me, My Fair One.
For behold you have come
Over the hills and the mountains
Only to please Me."
With a smile, the bride replies:
"To You I have come, my Lord
Death be my fate, lest I fail to serve my Lord."
So should be the heart of all who serve the Almighty One.
