·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ Before WW2 and Soviet rule, Jan was very social and loved gossiping about charming things. He was a social butterfly with a lot of confidence that aired on the border between being charismatic and arrogant. He often didn't listen to people and didn't realize or think that his actions could hurt others and vice versa. Jan was very naive and didn't like to give up without a fight. During WW2, his confidence and ego started to break down, the pain that was inflicted on him was painful and made him feel weak and inferior. Naz would often degrade and dehumanize Jan, ultimately leaving him broken and damaged.

After WW2, and the tremendous pain and becoming even more broken from Soviet rule, Jan had become a broken mirror of his former self and was an empty shell. He wasn't confident or loud, but instead self-conscious and introverted. He was shy and quiet, often covering his ears when people were talking too loud and squinted his eyes at objects that once inflicted pain on him. Often experiences intrusive thoughts of what happened. He suffers from heavy PTSD and tends to avoid everything that reminds him of his trauma and doesn't talk openly about it. He can never quite make up his mind and is always overthinking and being over vigilant of his surroundings.

He tries to remain positive at times, usually denying that some of the events that happened to him occurred, but he can't escape it. He is very soft with close friends and usually tries to lower some of his walls; however, some people haven't gained his trust back. He can get quite pessimistic when something seems bad to him and is known to doubt himself and be a downer. His hallucinations scare him most of the times and he has a hard time sleeping
