3 months later....

Alexia entered the lab where Peter and Bruce had been working for the past few weeks.

Conner was in there too, yaking their heads off.

"So how much longer is this gonna take? Is she going to be invisible for the rest of her life? Will she be able to move? Talk? Eat? Sleep? Anything?"

"If you don't stop bothering them Conner they'll never be able to finish."

Alexia walked up to him and he wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"You're right, it's just that I miss having Sky around you know?"
"I can assure you that you're not the only one Conner."
Peter said without taking his eyes off of the computer screen.

"How much longer until you've got that suit ready Bruce?"
Alexi asked pearing at the designs laying on the desk.

"We're almost done getting all the kinks out of it. Honestly her original design was crazy. I have no idea how she managed to pull it off on her own."

"I helped."
Peter interjected.
"And Tony did too, once everyone agreed that she could train to join the Avengers."

"And that was when my nightmares started."
Bruce mumbled to himself.
"Teenagers running all over the place, breaking everything in sight-"

"We can hear you Bruce."
Conner narrowed his eyes at him.
"Sorry."

There was a knock on the door and Annette came in, her arm was still in a cast from where it had been broken during the fight, but it was healing nicely.

"Hey Conner, Alexia, Steve and Caly want you guys out front."
"Why?"
Alexia asked curiously.
"Who knows?"
Annette shrugged.

"Well we'd better get going then. Later Bruce, Pete. Let me know as soon as you get that suit finished!"

"We will Conner. It'd be easier if Del was in here helping us but I haven't seen her all day."
Bruce shook his head slightly and resumed his work while Conner and Alexia followed Annette down the unfinished hallways of the Avengers Facility.

"So what exactly is the deal with Skyler? How is messing around with her suit going to help?"
Annette asked.

"Well, according to Charles she's been turned completley into sound. She's still at the X-Mansion but we have no way of moving her and she can't get into a physical form."
Alexia explained.

"Charles can still comunicate with her by reading her thoughts or something. That's how she knows that she needs to try and stay put until Bruce and Pete can get her suit ready."
Conner finished.

"Oh. That makes sense, I guess."
"By the way Annette, have you heard anything from Anthony in awhile?"
Conner asked slyly.

"Why would I?"
Annette snapped defensively.
"Oh no reason. Other than you might be crushing on him and you miss your 'Masked Marvel.'"

Annette rolled her eyes.
"You're so immature Conner. Why would I have a crush on Anthony of all people? I've never even seen his face."

"That makes it even more romantic! In love with a man whose face you've never even seen."
"That's enough Conner."
"Who is also off on a perilous journey to find two of our old acquaintances."
"Shut up Conner!"

Conner threw his hands up im surrender.
"Ok you win."

Alexia rolled her eyes, not admitting that she also suspected Annette of having feeling for Anthony.

Just a month after Lucas' attack a man had arrived at the Avenger's Facility saying that his name was Ian Orion and he was looking for Jane.

It had turned out that Ian was Jane's husband and he had been looking for her. Steve had informed him on everything that had happened, including her strange disappearance.

Ian, along with Anthony, had decided to go searching for Jane and Nicole. Steve wanted them both accounted for and to at least know if they were all right.

"After all, they were part of this team."
He had said.

Anthony and Ian had been gone for weeks and no one had heard from either one of them since.

I just hope they're doing all right.
Alexia thought to herself.

The losses on the heroes side had been bigger than any had wanted, and smaller than they had thought.

Every team that had arrived to fight had lost a member.
But no one regretted coming to fight, after all, that's what heroes did.

Not only defended the weak, but each other.

The death that had probably caused the biggest blow was Cam's. He had been especially close with all of the teenagers and losing him had been a shock to all the Avengers and SHIELD agents.

Maria was still mourning but she was doing much better than she had been.

It was comforting to see her going through the facility doing her job and taking care of business.

They finally reached Steve and Caly. Del was there too although lately Conner and Alexia found it impossible to strike up any kind of friendship with her.

She was definitley doing better since her dad's death, but still seemed angry and bitter towards Nicole.

I hope she finds a way to make things right with Nicole.
Alexia thought sadly.

Steve was doing his best to hide his emotions as they approached but it was clear that he was worried.

Elizabeth was currently in critical condition and there was no guarantee that she would live, but Steve wasn't losing hope yet.

"You needed us Cap?"
Conner asked tilting his head to the side.
"Actually, Caly did."
Steve said turning to her.

"What is it?"
Alexia asked.
Caly smiled.
"This was sort of Cam's idea and a little bit of mine."

"What?"
Del questioned impatiently.
"He wanted to form a team, something like the Avengers but for younger people. Like kids your age that can do amazing things, but aren't exactly ready to handle the big stuff on their
own."

"Hasn't that been done already?"
Conner asked skeptically.
"Not in this universe."
Annette said in a way that made Conner shuffle a few steps away from her.

"So anyway, what do you guys think? Would you do it?"
Caly waited in anticipation for their answers.

"Would you work with us?"
Alexia asked.
"Of course I would! And Annette would too, possibly Anthony if he comes back. This was sorta his idea too. And Iris mentioned helping out with Loki."

Loki helping train a bunch of teenagers? This I'd have to see.
Alexia smirked.

"Who would be in it?"
Conner asked grinning at Annette as her face turned red at the mention of Anthony.

"You, Alexia, Del, and Skyler if she- I mean, when she recovers. And eventually any other young people who have a "gift" or "talent" for defending the people of earth."

"So, what do you say?"
Caly paused and waited for their answer.

Conner glanced at Alexia, who glanced over at Del. They nodded once in agreement and turned to Caly.

"What would we be called?"
Conner asked.

Caly grinned, opened her mouth and said, "I don't have the foggiest idea."

Alexia glanced at Del while Conner slapped his forehead.

Great, our first biggest challenge as a team is to try and come up with a name.

And considering after all that they'd been through, it would be nice to have something as minor as coming up with a name to deal with.

After all, what were the chances that some other villain was plotting something evil against humanity?

Epilogue

The shadowed figure rewatched the battle that had taken place only months ago.

It still surprised them that the heroes had managed to hold their own against Lucas.

And I put so much faith in you. Oh well, I have other beings at my disposal.

They moved away from the giant monitor and approached a large glass window that showed their latest creation.

You will be the one who destroys those Avengers for good. And if you fail me then I will have to take care of them myself.

Grinning they turned away from the glass and pressed a sequence of buttons on a pannel that was on the wall.

A sound came from inside the glass, like a hissing, shrieking cry of fury.

The being watched as his latest creation disappeared from inside the glass.

Yes, you will do it. I have made no mistakes this time.

The Avengers will fall.

You could probably guess from the epilogue that I do plan on writing a sequel for this story. So if any of you are interested in having your character reappear in the sequel plz let me know!

Although I don't know when I will begin writing it because I plan on starting and finishing a couple of other things before I start the sequel.

So anyway be on the look out for more stories by yours truly, and feel free to message me about any thoughts or suggestions you might have for your character.

Also, if your character happened to be (not because I don't like you, you guys are all amazing) killed off feel free to create another character for the sequel.

Who knows? Maybe this time around you'll want more bad guys than good am I right?
