---Laurence's Pov---

I woke up in a panic. I was sweating and my light brown hair was spread everywhere. "You're awake!" I heard Aphmau yell. I nod, slowly.

"W-Where's Y/N? I need to talk to her." She looks at the ground, as if in awe of the patterns. "She-uh-turned into her shadow knight form to protect you from killing me."

I stand up and rub my forehead with my head. "I didn't hurt anyone right?" I say, quietly. "N-No she stopped you in time, but she's unconscious." I shake my head. "Y-You mean she got close to those th-things?" I ask, hoping for a no.

"Y-Yes, Laurence what's going on?" She says, blocking the doorway. "She's an immortal shadow knight Aphmau! Don't you understand! W-Wait..... she's an immortal shadow knight and she didn't become like me?! How is that possible?!" I pinch the bridge of my nose.

"W-What were those things?" She asks quietly. "They are called shadow souls. They are basically shadow knights without a physical form. They get more power from rage and shadow knights well- they get corrupted for even a second with their power and bam they turn on you. Kind of like what i did. By turning i basically fueled my own corruption. I just- I understand how i did turn but, she didn't. It's like she was fighting it with something else because no ordinary shadow knight could do that."

We walk out the door and i hear a groan followed by a thump. I run into Y/N's room to see her on the ground laughing. "What are you laughing at?" I say, questionably. "I fell and i c-can't get back up. I'm too weak." Then Aphmau starts laughing.

"Well i guess your going to miss breakfast th-" "NOPE LAURENCE HELP ME U-UP!" I start laughing at her attempts to stand.

I kiss her forehead and she blushes. "I'm going to get you breakfast, you rest here okay?" She nods as i pick her up bridal style and lay her on the bed.

"You truly love her don't you Laurence?" Aphmau says on our way out. "I do, i really honestly do."

---Y/N's Pov---

I lay on the bed trying to move or stretch or do ANYTHING really. I hear a window smash and i tense up. I hear running and i wearily started to get out of bed.

I hear whispers and i get scared. "L-Laurence is that y-you?" I say, shaking.

Suddenly i see a man run up to me. I shut my eyes and i hear laughing. Not the warm laughter you hear from your brother or sister. It was wicked with evil radiating off of it. Cold chills ran down my spine. Suddenly he grabbed my throat and i started choking.

I hear other people running up and still holding my throat, he throws me against another wall. My vision started to get blurry and i reached to touch the back of my head and it stung. I immediately rip my hand away and crimson was covered all over.

"Y/N!"I heard Laurence and Aphmau say in unison. I tried my hardest to keep my eyes open but it was EXTREMELY hard.

Laurence bends down next to me and tears started falling from his eyes. He hugs me and i start crying too.

"E-Everything will be okay baby girl. You'll be okay." I smile as i go unconscious.

I awoke in immediate pain. "Looks like the last of them are awake!" I heard a voice scream.

I groan and slowly open my eyes. Aphmau and Laurence were behind bars in front of me and soon after i realized that i was behind bars too.

"O-Oh Irene Y/N! Not again!" Aphmau yells. Laurence just looks at me with pure sorrow while sitting.

"A-Are you guys o-okay?" I say quietly. Laurence stands.

"YOU SHOULDN'T BE TALKING! YOU SHOULD'VE SCREAMED FOR SOMEONE! YET NOW WE ARE ALL HERE IN CAGES! YOU TRAPPED US AGAIN YOU MONSTER!" He continued yelling at me until Aphmau slapped him across the face. The things he said pounding in my head.

You trapped us.

Monster.

Tears start falling out of my eyes as i crawl to the corner of the cell. I'm guessing Laurence realized what he said because he just widened his eyes.

"I-I'm so sorry Y/N! I wasn't thinking!" I cry harder. "I-It's true."

Laurence shales his head. "I-It's not! Don't ever think that!" I start hearing footsteps come down the hall.

My cell door opens and someone steps inside. "IF YOU HURT HER I SW-" Laurence was cut off my Aphmau who flung her hand over his mouth.

"I see the little princess is awake. Well, no matter. We have to discuss something." I look up to see a girl with white hair and amethyst looking eyes.

"Join us. Join the nether." She says and i spit on her. "WHY YOU LITTLE-" She was cut off my someone else walking in.

"Calm down Sasha. She'll join us." He starts laughing. "Well, if she wants her friends to live." My eyes widen.

"P-Please don't h-hurt them!" I say, as loud as i can. "That was easier then i thought." Sasha says.

I stare into the other cell and see Laurence staring at me.

"I-I'll be fine. I promise you that."
