When Stella woke up in a dark room she felt a mixture of emotions. Confused. Scared. Angry. Worried. She didn't know where she was or what happened to her. The last thing she remembered was driving home from practice with her band so she assumes that she got into a car crash.

What felt like an hour to her, but in reality, it was twenty-seven years, she then suddenly appeared on the sidewalk somewhere in Hollywood. She wondered for a while, not being a fan of the weird feeling she felt when people would walk through her.

Stella furrows her eyebrows when she noticed some people were carrying some type of device in their hands. A look of realization forms when she realized it was an updated version of a phone. Looking around trying to find something that would give her what year it was, she frowned when she found nothing.

She let out a yelp of surprise when she suddenly gets knocked off her feet, landing on her back. Stella grew confused when she felt a weight on her since she thought people went right through her. Or maybe she was wrong about that. She's new to being a ghost so she doesn't know all of the details yet.

"I'm so sorry about that." The long-haired boy apologized, quickly getting off of her. He reached a hand out to Stella to help her stand up. She sent him a small smile, taking his hand and letting him easily pull her up on her feet.

"It's alright. I wasn't paying attention so I guess I deserved it." Stella shrugged her shoulders and he chuckled lightly.

"I wasn't expecting to be running into anyone." The long-haired boy admitted, picking up his skateboard.

Stella nods in agreement. "Yeah, me neither."

"I'm Willie, by the way." He introduced himself with a smile on his face and she smiled back at him.

"I'm Stella." Stella introduced herself.

A smile tugs on Willie's lips when he realized something. "You're a ghost, aren't you?"

Nodding, she looks at him with pleading eyes. "Please tell me you know everything about ghost life 'cause I'm so confused."

Willie laughs as he nods. "I don't know everything about the ghost life, but I can help you out."

Stella let out a breath of relief. "Good. Soo...what year is it?"

"2016." He answered, putting his skateboard on the ground beside him.

Stella did the math in her head, staring at him with wide eyes. She waves her arms around dramatically. "I-I've been dead for twenty-three years?!"

Willie looks at her with an amused smile, nodding in response to her question. "Any questions about ghost life?"

"Uh, yeah." Stella replied in a 'duh' tone. "A lot."

He grins. "Then you better keep up with me." He told her as he started skateboarding away from her.

"Hey! Not fair, Willie!" Stella whined, rolling her eyes at his laugh, but she still runs after Willie. A small smile tugged on her lips, happy that she wasn't alone.

****

It has been four years since she met Willie. The two immediately got along and have been the best of friends ever since then. She learned a lot from Willie about the ghost life, like for example, she learned that they called people lifers and that they had the ability of teleportation. She just had to think of where she wanted to go and she would poof there.

They could also walk through the walls. They couldn't pick up stuff that well, but Willie told her that if you focus hard enough then it will be easy. Willie even took her to the Hollywood Ghost Club, where lifers and ghosts could talk to each other. One of her favorite parts of the club was that ghosts could even eat there.

Willie even introduced her to the one and only Caleb Covington. Caleb even owned the Hollywood Ghost Club. Stella has been a fan of magic for a while and part of that is because of her mother. Her mom would always take her to magic shows and at first, she had no idea why her mom liked magic, but as she got older she started to grow more fond of magic. Meeting someone as good at magic as Caleb Covington is was like a dream come true for her.

After finding out she had nowhere to go Caleb decided to let her be a member of the Hollywood Ghost Club, welcoming her with open arms. When he heard about her singing and dancing talent, he knew he wanted her in his band.

He made sure he didn't tell her the part where he kept her soul because he knew she wouldn't join if he mentioned that. Stella didn't hesitate to join his band since that meant she would be getting to work with someone who's very talented.

She and Caleb got along immediately when they met and they were quick to form a father-daughter relationship. Stella's father left when she was little so she never had a father in her life. Having a father figure like Caleb meant a lot to her.

She was currently in her dressing room, finishing getting ready for the show that night. Her brown hair was curled, she had her makeup done and she painted her fingernails and toenails orange to match the flapper girl dress she wore.

She wore an white colored flapper girl dress that had sequins covering it. The flapper girl dress was short on the right side, having a slip that went down the left side, resting just above her ankles. Along with the dress she wore silver heels, a silver bracelet on on her left arm, and silver hoop earrings.

(here is what her outfit looks like down below)

The outfit was definitely not her favorite thing to wear, but it was the style that Caleb decided the dancer girls to wear. She looked over at the door when she heard a knock. "Come in."

A small smile tugged on her lips when she saw it was Caleb. He sent her a smile. "You ready for tonight?"

"Always." She replied. He walked over to her and kissed the top of her head. "You're gonna be the star of the show tonight. Just like you always are."

She smiles at him. "Thanks, Caleb. That means a lot to me."

He chuckles, shrugging his shoulders. "Just saying the truth."

The two of them then did a handshake they did before every show. They decided to do it just as a way to try and calm their nerves down before the show and for good luck. Sometimes something would go wrong during a show even if they did the handshake, but they still do it no matter what since it was like a tradition now.

"You're gonna do great." He pointed at her as he moved towards the door. Stella pointed back at him with a grin on her face. "Right back at ya."

After he left she poofs out to the room where the shows were usually held. There were already a lot of people and ghosts there among the area talking to each other.

Her eyes scans the room for Willie, but her lips curved downwards when she couldn't find her best friend.

She went to the side of the room and leaned against the wall, fiddling with one of the bracelets she wore as she looked around the room. Lifers and ghosts were at different tables, some even standing off to the side talking with each other.

There were quite a few lifers in the room who had paid a lot to get a sneak peek of the afterlife. It made her happy that at this club they could connect and just have a good time without having to worry about anything else. She also enjoyed the fact that the ghosts could eat at the club since they couldn't anywhere else.

"Ella, over here!"

She looks over to where she heard her name called. Only one ghost called her that and she smiled seeing Willie waving her over. She went over to her best friend, noticing three boys stood beside him as she got closer to Willie.

Once she got over to where the boys were at, Willie smiles, and gestures to Stella. "Guys, this is my best friend, Stella."

"W-Wait a minute. Were you in the band 'Midnight Sound'?" The boy with the long denim jacket stuttered, staring at the girl with wide eyes, not believing that one of the members of a band he liked was standing right in front of him.

Stella looks at him with surprise but nods as a wide smile tugs on her lips. "Yeah! I was the lead singer."

The boy wearing the leather jacket grins at her. "No way! We are such fans of your band!" He exclaimed, his friends nodding their heads in agreement with grins on their faces.

Stella smiles at the three boys, happy they knew her band. "It's always great to meet a fan."

"I-I'm Luke." The boy with the long denim jacket introduces himself, smiling at her and she found herself smiling back at him. He points at the boy in the leather jacket who sat next to him. "This is Reggie."

"Hi, I'm Reggie." Reggie points at himself and smiles at Stella. "We were also in a band." He informed her. Stella smiled, happy to meet others that were in a band. She raises her eyebrows at the unfamiliar three boys, wanting to know more about their band.

"Called Sunset Curve. We were going to play The Orpheum, but we died that night." The blonde-haired boy explained.

Stella smiles at them. "That's so cool!" She then quickly adds, "I-I mean, not the dying part. I meant you guys having a band is cool."

Luke smiles a bit and then points at Alex. "And this is Alex."

"Hey." Alex waved at Stella, looking at her with a small smile. Stella waved back at him, smiling a bit as well.

They look around the room when the lights dimmed and a voice was sounded through the speakers.

"Ladies and gentlemen, back from the dead by popular demand, please welcome Caleb Covington!"

Stella and Willie cheers along with everyone else in the room as Caleb appears in mid-air above the stage and the three boys stare with wide eyes.

"Did you miss me?" Caleb asked.

"Oh, yeah!" The crowd responded.

He grins. "I did too!" He exclaimed, earning laughter from the crowd.

"Welcome...To the party of your dreams." Caleb said to everyone with his arms outstretched. "From the Egyptians to the Druids, to the person sitting next to you, we've all wondered 'where do we go when that final light is snuffed out?'"

He smirked while music started playing. "Allow me to show you."

"Let me introduce myself, we got some time to kill." Caleb floated towards the crowd as he sang. "Consider me the pearly gates to your new favorite thrills. We could go make history, or you could rest in peace."

He stares down at Luke and his friends with a grin. That grin turns into a smile when he looked at Stella who smiled back at him, giving him a thumbs up, her way of cheering him on. "But here there ain't no misery, 'cause on the other side we live like kings."

He backs up, singing the next part while waving his arms along to the beat. "What you gonna do? What you gonna do? Let your body loose. Let your body loose. What you gonna do? What you gonna do? Show you a thing or two 'cause you ain't see nothing yet."

Caleb lands on the middle of the stage, his band, Stella, and a flapper girl appearing beside him. Luke looks beside him to where Stella was at with confusion at seeing the spot empty, thinking that she was still there. His eyes widens as he looked back at the stage. When he locks eyes with Stella, he smiles, his smile widening when Stella smiled back at him.

"Life is good on the other side of Hollywood." The flapper girl takes off the coat Caleb was wearing, throwing it to the side, and does the same dance that Stella was doing. Stella and the dancers join him on singing. "Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

Stella and the flapper girl links arms with Caleb, dancing to the left side, and then back to the right as they all continue singing. "So welcome to the brotherhood where you won't be misunderstood."

They let go of Caleb's arms, going back to their dance routine. Caleb raises his arms as he sings along with the ones dancing. "Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

Stella and the flapper girl stay on stage while Caleb walks down the steps, now on the dance floor as a group of men in pink suits went around him holding plates of desserts.

The three boys stare at the food with wide wide eyes. "Everything has got a price, but happiness is free."

Caleb stands right in front of the table Willie and the boys were sitting at. "Just so happens you're in luck, we got a vacancy."

The men put the plates away and go back to dancing while a scepter. He easily catches it. "We can set the night on fire and break out of the scene."

Luke's eyes gazed around the room, frowning when he didn't spot Stella anywhere. His attention was drawn back to the front of the room when Caleb pulled off the table cloth.

A flapper girl appeared on the table and he wasn't for sure why, but part of him wished it was Stella. "Your soul print on the walk of fame. On the boulevard of your wildest dreams."

"What you gonna do? What you gonna do, boys?" Caleb stands between Alex and Luke, leaning his hand on the table. "Let your body loose. Let your body loose."

Caleb then moves behind Luke and Reggie. "What you gonna do? What you gonna do, boys?"

Reggie's eye widens, leaning back in his seat to try not to get kicked in the face after the dance the flapper girl did that kick during her dance. Caleb held the flapper girl's foot before it could hit Reggie and grinned at Reggie. "It ain't bragging if it's true. Now, you ain't seen nothing."

The boys look around with surprise as the men in pink suits pulled the tablecloths off of every table. A flapper girl appears on each table while Caleb stands between Alex and Luke. "Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

He does a twirl and poofs onto the middle of the stage, holding his scepter. "Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

The flapper girls jump off of the tables, the men in the pink suit catch them and set them on the ground and they all move to the dance floor to continue dancing.

"So welcome to the brotherhood where you won't be misunderstood. Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

Caleb throws his scepter behind him and he poofs onto the stage that the band was on, catching the scepter. Stella appeared back on the middle stage, clapping along with the flapper girls and the dancers.

A smile tugged on Luke's lips when he noticed Stella was on the stage again. He enjoyed watching her dance because it looked like she was having fun and he admired her dancing talent. She looked out into the crowd, locking eyes with him. Butterflies formed in her stomach at noticing the smile that was on his face when he stared at her. She could feel the blush creeping up her neck, but she just smiled back at him, hoping that no one noticed her blush.

"The rain don't blind the rising souls, they got so much to see. I got your glamor, got your gold. Got all you'll ever need." Caleb uses his scepter, pretending that it was a microphone. "Let me hear you now!"

Stella harmonizes her voice along with the rest of the dancers and flapper girls. Even though there were multiple singing, somehow Luke could easily hear her voice and automatically thought it was beautiful. "The rain don't blind the rising souls, they got so much to see. I got your glamor, got your gold. Got all you'll ever need. They got too much to see."

When she noticed that Luke and his friends were clapping along with everyone, she grins, happy that they were enjoying being there.

"I got your glamor, got your gold. Got all you'll ever need." The men jump up and then get into two lines at the end of the stairs.

"Yeah, I said watch me make a move, watch me make a move, boys." Some of the flapper girls walk down the steps to each man, taking their hand the same time Caleb walks down the steps. "What you gonna do? What you gonna do?"

Stella moves onto the dance floor, doing the same dance as the flapper girls and Caleb were doing. "I said, watch me make a move, no I don't disappoint."

Stella points at Willie dramatically, winking at him which made him laugh and she grinned. "What you gonna do? What you gonna do?"

"Watch me make a move, I'm your number one choice." Caleb sang.

"What you gonna do? What you gonna do?" Stella harmonized her voice with everyone else.

"Amen! Watch me make a move, come on, now give me that noise." Stella continued dancing along with the flapper girls and the men in pink suits while Caleb continues singing.

"A tomb with a view, ain't it something?" He points up at the ceiling where an aerial hoop that was normally used by trapeze artists was hanging and a flapper girl appeared on it which caused the crowd to cheer. Reggie had even stood up, staring at the girl with a dreamy look on his face, and Luke pulled him back down to his seat, bringing the leather jacket wearing boy back to reality.

"Life is good on the other side of Hollywood. Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

Stella leans back on the floor along with the other flappers as the men jump up. "So welcome to the brotherhood where you won't be misunderstood."

Stella gets back up on her feet, moving to the left side along with some of the men and flappers as the others stand across from them, letting Caleb stand in the middle. "Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

"So welcome to the brotherhood where you won't be misunderstood." Stella got a chair along with the other flapper girls and the men that were dancing.

She was stood in front of the table Willie and the boys were at. She smiled at them, moving the chair around doing the same dance as the others were doing. "Life is good on the other side of Hollywood."

Two flapper girls stands beside Caleb, holding a black sheet in front of him, smirking at the crowd. "Ain't it the best? Long live the dead!"

The flapper girls raise the sheet to cover him and then drop it, revealing that Caleb was no longer standing there. Luke stood up along with Alex and Willie, cheering along with the crowd while Reggie has a look of shock on his face.

The back of Stella's chair was facing the stage and she was sitting in it with her legs around the back. She leaned backward, winking at the boys. Alex, Luke, and Willie immediately started clapping along with the crowd. Like then pulled Reggie up to his feet, getting him out of his state of shock. He then immediately started clapping which made Stella giggle.

She guessed by the boy's reaction that they liked the show.
