A/n: This will be a short chapter, but I got a special chapter after this. You all just have to wait and see.

Y/n POV

I was in the ship heading back to Atlas with my team, but I can't go back yet. I have to go back to that cave and face my past. I'm ready to face Jaro Tapal. My Master. I got up from my seat and went to go tell the pilot to take us back there.

You: Pilot.

Pilot: What's on your mind, kid?

You: Take us back to that cave I've been through before.

Pilot: You mean that place that you've got chased by Grimm?

You: I have something to do back there. Just take us back there okay?

The pilot took a second to speak to me.

Pilot: (sigh) Alright, if you say so, kid.

You: Thank you.

I went back to go sit with my team.

Blake: Where are we going?

You: We're going back to the place I went.

Weiss: You want to go back there?

You: It's time I face him.

Ruby: He's right. It's time that he faces his past.

You: I won't be going alone, I have you guys.

My team nodded their heads knowing that they have my back.

(Timeskip)

We arrived at the cave where I was before, it wasn't that dark the last time I was here. We came across a dead end from where I meditated.

You: This is it. Everyone sit down and put our hands together, we're going inside my mind.

Ruby: How are we going to do that?

You: When we sit down, close your eyes, concentrate, focus on your mind, and avoid all distractions.

Ruby: Okay.

We all sat down with our legs crossed and held our hands together, closed our eyes and began to meditate to go inside my mind.

(Meditation Vision)

We all opened our eyes and got up from the ground to see that we are inside my mind in an open area.

Ruby: Woah! This is where you meditate?

You: Yeah, it helps me get my mind off of things.

Blake: This place is amazing.

After my team admired the area, my Master was there, waiting for me to go face him. My team saw him, they were about to walk up to him, but I stopped them.

You: I'm sorry, but I have to do this alone.

Ruby: But-

You: Ruby. I need you to trust me. I have to do this.

I looked at Ruby and the others, who had worried looks on their faces.

Ruby: Okay. Just, be careful.

You: I will.

I then walked up to my Master who was waiting for me.

You: Master.

Jaro Tapal: You were wrong to return here unarmed.

I then took my new lightsaber hilt from my belt and showed it to him.

You: Not unarmed.

Jaro Tapal: You think that lightsaber proves you a Jedi?

You: No. Facing you. Memories that have haunted me since Vale... I won't run from them anymore.

Jaro Tapal: Then let us see what manner of death your courage brings.

My Master then activated his lightsaber and I activated my lightsaber that has a single green blade and got in my fighting stance to face him. We then started to hit our blades together to get strike on us, my Master tried to kick me, but I rolled out of the way.

Jaro Tapal: The weapon you hold is still mine, appreciate.

I got up from the roll and we continued to hit our blades together to get a strike. While I was fighting, I saw that my teammates were watching me fight my Master.

Jaro Tapal: Show me what you are truly capable of!

I then used my Split Saber to strike my Master, but he blocked my attacks. I attached my hilts back together and we got into a blade clash.

Jaro Tapal: Impressive.

I then got out of the clash.

Jaro Tapal: But is power the answer?

You: No.

I deactivated my lightsaber and clipped it to my belt. I then saw my Master did a battle cry to strike me down.

RWBY: No!

I saw my Master put his blade close to my head while I looked up and speak to him.

You: Master. I will never forget. The loss has become a part of me. I will honor your teaching. And your sacrifice.

My Master then put his blade away from my face and deactivate his lightsaber and walked away.

Jaro Tapal: Remember. Persistence reveals the path.

He then disappeared into the mist of my meditation vision. I looked at my teammates that they had worried looks on their faces. I went up to them and we did a group hug, knowing that I finally faced my past, I'm free now, forever. I opened my eyes to see Summer watching us behind my team with a smile on her face, I returned the smile to her and closed my eyes again for us to exit my meditation vision.

(Out of Meditation Vision)

We all opened our eyes to see that we're back in reality. We all got up and got out of the cave and went back to the ship and head back to Atlas.

I was sitting on the passenger seat with Ruby by my side holding our hands together while heading back to Atlas.

Ruby: You finally faced your past.

You: Yeah, I did. And it's thanks to you all of you.

I looked at my teammates and saw that they have caring smiles on their faces. They understand that they always have my back. I finally got free of my past and continue to move forward in my life. Me and Ruby leaned our heads together and have this moment together me and her for our lives and our marriage ceremony soon.
