Alternative ending thing I just wanted to do.

Ezra and Kanan were walking to the ramp of the ship getting ready to jump in mid-air. The mission was stealth and grab intel were some Phoniex crew and commander were taken and Kanan and Ezra were more for the job. Sabine would've but she had to work with Chopper on the ship and Zeb wasn't the stealthiest and he was too big.

"We're here, stay with me and listen. This is highly dangerous and we can't get caught. Got it?" Kanan told Ezra and Ezra rolled his eyes. "I know Kanan." Ezra said seriously and Kanan grinned.

"Now Hera." Kanan ordered and the hatch opened. Kanan walked towards the end and faced Ezra who was a little uneasy. Kanan patted his sons shoulder and nodded at him. Ezra sucked a breath and calmed his nerves. In truth, Ezra was excited for this but also worried about not being able to.

"Now." Kanan said and jumped. Ezra panicked but watched his Dad land gracefully on the Empire's landing pad. Ezra froze but readied himself. He ran forward and jumped.

It was exhilating more than terrifying. Ezra focused and used the force. He sensed Kanans fear for him amd he smirked. He curled into a ball and let the force make him lighter so he wouldn't go splat.

He rolled on the ground in his ball and got up skidding. Ezra pumped his fist in the air and spun to see Kanan stiffling a laugh. Ezra stopped his little dance and straightened himself out. Kanan walked to the vent in the side on the mountain and pulled it off.

"Oh no, I'm not going to fit in that. The only other way is the door." Kanan said and ran his hand over his face. "I can fit, you go through the door and if one of us gets the intel first, we just signal each other and meet back here." Ezra suggested.

Kanan didn't like the idea but it was the only way. They each had a remote that had button and if you pressed it a green light flickers amd it signals they found the intel.

But if you press it twice it flashes a red and that means they didn't find the intel and run. Ezra hugged Kanan and he hugged back. "See you soon." Ezra said and Kanan nodded. They let go and smiled a little. Ezra hopped into the vent and Kanan placed the lid back on.

Kanan opened the door and looked around. He saw a trooper near a corner on the left and knocked softly on the wall. Kanan backed up when the trooper turned around.

The trooper started walking out towards him and Kanan waited until he was fully out. Kanan attacked and twitsted the guys arm and punched him out.

Kanan sighed and took the armor and made sure to hang the body with handcuffs dangling on the side of the mountain.

Ezra crawled through the vents and saw troopers walking heavily armed and listened to see if he could find anything that was important. He sighed and crawled through the tight airways. He spread his senses out and heard something.

Ezra listened and heard something about an office on the third floor. Ezra grinned and started crawling his was up.

Wait....ah man! Third floor is way up! Its gonna take me forever to crawl there, Ezra thought to himself and started shuffling. He grunted very small and shut his mouth when a trooper looked around.

The trooper left and Ezra started moving fast. Ezra wiped sweat and felt his legs burn and his arms and stomach. Ezra wished he was with Kanan right now.

Ezra started feeling an uneasy feeling and grew worried. He was wanting to find Kanan but.....no, Kanan would want him to find it. Ezra crawled faster and made it. Huh, must've been closer, Ezra thought and grinned. He slid the vent opening and dropped out and looked around. He looked at the doors around him and saw one office door.

He smirked and opened it. He peeked and saw no one. Ezra quickly ran in and closed the door. Ezra quickly rummaged through the draws and found a small chip. Ezra grabbed it and plugged it in the computer on the desk.

No password? Ezra thought confused but just searched through. Just what I need, Ezra thought happy and quickly logged out. Ezra grabbed his remote and pressed the button once.

Ezra tucked it away and quickly made his way to the front door. When he opened it he saw something he was hoping to avoid.

A whole bunch of stromtroopers were right in front of him. Ezra widened his eyes and troopers pointed there blasters at him. Ezra force pushed them and away.

He pulled the remote out and pressed it twice so it flashed red.

Kanan was walking in his fake armor and looked down at the remote in his hand hidden by the blaster. Kanan sighed amd continued to walk around and search. He saw a flash of green from his hand and smiled in his helmet.

Kanan started jogging back to the landing pad and no one noticed him. Kanan wasn't far from the landing and made it. He changed his clothes but didn't see the red flash. He went to grab it and saw red.

Kanan panicked but he had to wait.

Ezra ran down the hallways and ducked bullets. Ezra panted and ran into a door and opened it. It was a flight of stairs, Ezra heard footsteps annd jumped down. He didn't know when to stop but knew when he sensed it.

Ezra shifted to the side and landed gracefully. He gasped for air and opened a door. He saw a hallway and quickly dashed by some troopers who were stunned.

Ezra ran down to the landing pad door and opened it. Ezra grabbed Kanan's hand and pulled him to the edge of the rail. "We have to leave now! Troopers are right behind us!" Ezra shouted and Kanan widened his eyes.

"Hera isn't responding, they must've disabled the comms." Kanan said and Ezra and him sensed danger. "We have to jump." Ezra said firmly and Kanan was shocked. "We can't!" Kanan shouted and the footsteps were closer.

Ezra grabbed Kanans hand and yelled, "We have to! Or the intel is gone!" Kanan was unsure but knew there was no way. "Get ready and focus on the force. This fall is five thousand feet so you have to focus." Kanan strictly said amd Ezra nodded. Before they jumped troopers ran out and busted the door open.

"Jump up then plummet!" Kanan yelled and when they did jump, a shot of a blaster was heard and Kanan and Ezra were already falling down.

Ezra shielded his eyes and held onto Kanan's hand. They ground was coming closer and Ezra faced Kanan who was clutching his side. Ezra panicked. "Kanan we need to land!" Ezra yelled but Kanan wasn't listening. Ezra was now freaking out.

Ezra let go of Kanan's hand had used the force to go faster to the ground and it worked. Ezra was way ahead and focused on the force. He used his determination and focused hard. Ezra prepared himseld and landed just like how he did when he was landing on the landing pad.

Ezra shook himself and looked up at Kanan. Kanan was still clutching his side and Ezra lifted his hand. Ezra used his power and used the force more powerfully. Ezra stopped Kanan early and gently floated him down to the ground.

Kanan grunted and Ezra ran to him. "Dad?! Dad?! Can you hear me?!" Ezra asked frantically and Kanan nodded. Ezra saw blood pooling out and felt tears forming. "Dad!" Ezra yelled and placed his hand on Kanans shoulder and Kanan looked up at him.

"Keep going Ezra.." Kanan mumbled and Ezra shook his head. "I can do this, I can do this." Ezra said and stepped back and lifted his hands towards Kanan and tried. Ezra's fear was getting in the way and thoughts clouded his head.

Ezra growled and focused harder and pushed. Soon Kanans body was floating gently and Ezra sighed in relief. Ezra carried his dad through the woods and cried silently.

Ezra was carrying Kanan for over three hours. He stopped once to tie his wound with his sleeve amd continued. "E-Ezra.." Kanan rasped out and groaned. Ezra stopped amd gently laid Kanan against him on a tree.

"Are you ok?" Ezra asked frantically amd Kanan grunted and let a pained sigh out. "C-Come here...." Kanan whispered and Ezra sat on his knees next to Kanans legs. "Kanan?" Ezra asked and wiped tears away amd sniffed.

Kanan gave him a small bloody smile. "Make sure t-the intel gets to H-Hera...." He said and looked Ezra straight in the eyes. Ezra widened his eyes in fear and tears streamed down his face. "Kanan please don't do this...please Dad." Ezra begged the last part and held Kanans hand who brought it to his heart.

"T-This isn't your f-fault son.." Kanan said and he coughed. Ezra was crying and slowly breaking apart. "Please please PLEASE!" Ezra begged and hugged Kanan. Kanan wrapped his arm around Ezra's waist.

Ezra cried into his shoulder and Kanan felt the tremors wrack through Ezra. Kanan weakly pushed him away and cupped the side of Ezra's face and fisted a little bit of hair and looked him in the eye.

"Y-You are the most p-precious kid I-I love....you so m-much.." Kanan was struggling to talk and Ezra cried more. "I love too Daddy...please don't leave me.." Ezra leaned into Kanans hand and held it.

Kanan gave him a cracked smile and gasped. "Dad?!" Ezra frantically asked and Kanan looked back at Ezra. "Its time..." Kanan said and Ezra paled. "Dad please...I can't loose you too.." Ezra whispered in pain and Kanan ran his hand in Ezra's hair. "I-I will see y-you in the f-force someday...I love you son.." Kanan said with a smile.

Ezra knew it was time. "I love you too daddy.." Ezra whispered and Kanan kissed Ezra on the forehead and slowly pulled back. Kanan smiled at Ezra and Ezra gave a small smile back. Kanan sucked in a high piched breath...then everything stopped when Kanan went limp.

Ezra felt dread, sorrow, depressed, rage and pain. Ezra screamed and screamed. He let out a raw loose pained yell out. Ezra didn't stop even when he felt like he couldn't....he kept screaming, crying and holding onto his Dad.

"Ezra? Kanan? Where are you? I got the comms working." Hera said through the comm and Ezra didn't want to answer. He wanted to be alone.

Ezra picked at his comm and clicked it. "Its Ezra.." Ezra didn't even wince from the raw pain in his throat. "Ezra! Oh thank gosh! Where are you?" Hera asked excited but Ezra had to tell her.

Ezra cried but answered. "Its just me...Kanan got s-shot and...and.....a-and..." Ezra couldn't continue and let go of his comm and sobbed and buried his fave into his Dad's chest.

No one spoke for awhile. Until Hera had to. "O-Oh....where are you?" She asked and Ezra could tell she was crying. Ezra finally gave her the area that they were in and tucked the comm away.

Ezra didn't know how long it was but he sensed Zeb behind him. "Kid..come with me, we have t-to leave." Zeb said with his voice cracking. Zeb always thought no one could kill the great jedi Kanan Jarrus but....now, he was heart broken and so much sadness. He lost a great warrior...he lost a greater friend.

Ezra didn't answer him and Zeb had to grab him by the shoulders. Ezra started jerking and twisting yelling. "No! My dad Zeb! M-My dad!" Ezra was crying and yelling and Zeb struggled to hold him.

"I know Ezra! But we have to leave quickly because we don't know if troopers are here!" Zeb said and had Ezra from the front and struggled to grab his shoulders. "No Zeb! You don't understand! Dad..he's..he's...m-my D-Dad!" Ezra kept screaming and Zeb finally held Ezra and wrapped an arm around him and stroked his massive hand in his hair.

"I know kid..I know..." Zeb said and Ezra fisted his fists in Zeb's clothes and cried into his shoulder. "D-Dads....D-Dads..." Ezra trailed off with a scream and clung tighter to Zeb. Zeb just ran his hand in Ezras hair and let a tear out.

Zeb struggled to hold the kid who was sobbing into his shoulder and carried back into the cargo hold. "Chopper.....watch him please.." Zeb said and he beeped and went to Ezra.

Zeb slowly walked over to his friend and picked up his cold body.

Ezra was sitting on his bedroom floor numb and cold. After hours Chopper managed to get him showered and changed and waited down the hall because Ezra made him.

Ezra was crying and kept muttering 'why?' over and over. He screamed and sobbed silently and hugged himself. No one bothered him. Ezra felt dead, cold and numb. He lost the person who he trusted the most. The only person who was able to open him up.

"DADDY!"

It was next week and Kanans funeral. Kanan was dressed in his regular but new gear and held his lightsaber. Everyone had to wear there normal clothes because no owned anything nice.

Chopper had a will from Kanan and it said he wanted to be buried at Lothal if he ever dies....

Ezra was greeted by Zeb who appeared in the doorway of their room. Zeb let Ezra be alone and shared a room with Sabine. "We're here." He said and Ezra slowly got up.

Ezra looked away when they started shoveling Kanan into the ground. Kanan chose to be where there was golden grassy hills, open skies where everything showed the birds and colors and the golden weeds that went to calfs....he chose Ezras favorite spot.

Everyone said things and Ezra was left to be when it was his turn. Ezra placed a hand on the dirt. "I wished I could've done something....you were the first to believe in me and I am grateful you took care me......" Ezra sucked in a breath and started crying.

"T-Thank you for everything....I-I love you daddy..." Ezra whispered. He cried and slowly stumbled up. He then got the thoughts.

Who would I go to if I need to talk? Who would I go to if I had a nightmare? Who would tell me everything will soon be alright? Who would help me? W-Who would hold me? W-Who would....w-who would...... Ezra trailed off his thoughts and cried.

He sensed Zeb behimd him but he didn't care. He cried because he lost someone who mean't everything to him.....his daddy.

Ezra felt hands on his shoulders and looked to see Zeb crouching in front of him. Zeb picked him up and Ezra struggled but soon fell asleep from the crying.

One year later:

Ezra was sitting in his room. Zeb got the room back and Hera bunked with Sabine because Ezra couldn't go to Kanans. He couldn't. Ashoka walked in and Ezra just sat facing the wall with the usual cold dead eyes. He never showed emotion. His everything was cold, dead and numb.

"You want to leave?" Ashoka said and it wasn't a question. Ezra's been wanting to leave. "I want to....only reason I stayed was because I thought I could fight.....but now I can't." He said numb.

"Losing a master-" Ashoka was cut off. Ezra stood up and yelled, "I lost more than a master! I lost my Dad!" Ezra hugged himself and Ashoka watched him with sadness. It was the only emotion he expressed since.....

"I can't keep doing this."

Ezra was leaving back to Lothal. "Goodbye Ezra." Sabine said and hugged him and he patted her back. Hera hugged him tightly and said her goodbye. Zeb walked up and said, "I'm coming with you." He had a bag and his weapon.

"Zeb are you sure?" Ezra asked and Zeb nodded. "Since......I just can't fight without 'em." Zeb said sadly and Hera embraced them and so did Sabine and Chopper.

"Call me if anything happens or you want back." Hera said and they nodded. They walked down the ramp and watched the ship they once called home fly away.

Ezra hopped onto his speeder and so did Zeb. "Let's get some supplies to build us a place." Zeb said and they took off.

Seven months later:

Ezra and Zeb built a place three miles near Kanans....Ezra called himself Dume Stephen in Kanans last name and his middle name. Zeb called himself Orri Dante because Orri was shorten for his last name and Dante was nothing.

They stopped by Kanans.....Ezra placed the headstone they made and it said

Here lies Kanan Jarrus

The most strongest, kindest, bravest, couragest man.

He empacted everyone and changed a lot of things in this troubled galaxey. He will be always missed.

Ezra started crying and said, "We talked to Hera last week and they did a big attack on the Empire.....I wish I could've done something to help you.....I'm sorry Kanan....I love you daddy.."

Zeb rested his hand on Ezras shoulder. "You know, you looked alot like him..you also acted like him." Zeb said and Ezra looked up at him. Ezra cried and hugged himself. Zeb soon picked him up. He carried him back to their place and saw Ezras lightsaber on the table.

Ezra would train still and work more to distract himself. Zeb set him on a chair and Ezra was a robot. He did everything in a pattern.

He will never be the same without his Dad.
