"Goodbye my love," Amberbeach chokes out as they lay Blacksand into his grave.
Everyone steps back so that his family can burry him in dirt and the bundle of flower petals the apprentices had collected.
When they'd finished Seastar steps forward and places a leaf bundle on the grave, "sand from the river," she mews, "I thought he would appreciate it."
Amberbeach and her kits nod their heads.
"We'll miss him," Sunsparkle shuffles her paws, "we'll see you again in the stars, dad."
Honeybird leans against Mousesands, "You can rest your paws now."
Sparkfall just nods, looking miserably at the grave.
"We'll rest one more day," Seastar announces, "and then we'll say our final goodbyes and head towards the territories."
Everyone nods and breaks off into groups, murmuring quietly to each other.
"He would have loved the stream," Ceaderstripe mews, "he could have sat there with his family watching the water flow by."
"Would remind them all of home," Shrewtail nodded.
"Yeah," Hemlockheart pulls her kits close to her, "I can't wait to get home."
Everyone nods except her kits.
"What's Stoneclan like?" Birdkit asks.
"Well," Shrewtail starts, "theres a lot of cats. You have more family there."
"More family?" Rainkit looks puzzled.
"Mine and Ceaderstripe's parents and siblings are there," Hemlockheart purrs, "we miss them very much," she looks to Ceaderstripe.
"Do we have siblings there?" Birdkit asks.
"No," Hemlockheart laughs, "I haven't had any other kits."
"What about Ceaderstripe and Burntwhisker?" Rainkit tilts her head.
Ceaderstripes face gets hot, "n-no, we don't have any kits-"
She glances to Burntwhisker who is looking at her with a warm smile.
"My dad and siblings are there," Cocoapaw chimes in.
Ceaderstripe is mostly spaced out for a few moments before she stands up.
"I'm going to go hunt, I hear there haven't been many patrols out today," Ceaderstripe avoids the eyes of her friends, Burntwhisker especially, as she starts to walk away.

"Ceaderstripe?" A voice calls into the trees.
"Ravenpaw?" Ceaderstripe calls.
She sneezes at the dirt in the air from digging to burry her kill.
"Seastar sent me to check on you," Ravenpaw approaches calmly, walking with great posture, "though she sent the other apprentices to do little tasks so I assume it was to make us useful, rather than genuine concern for you."
"Ouch?" Ceaderstripe tilts her head.
"Sorry," Ravenpaw bows her head.
"Do you want to help me carry my prey?" Ceaderstripe asks.
Ravenpaw nods, "I can do that."
Ceaderstripe nudges a starling towards her and then picks up a pair of screws. She flicks her tail back towards the temporary camp and let's Ravenpaw lead the way.

Ceaderstripe and Burntwhisker sit together watching Hemlockheart and her kits play as the sun goes down.
"They're so rambunctious," Ceaderstripe laughs.
"Yeah," Burntwhisker leans towards Ceaderstripe, their fur blending together.
"Maybe we should have kits," Burntwhisker suggests.
Ceaderstripe turns and sits with her back to Hemlockheart and the kits so that she could look at Burntwhisker while they talk.
"Right now!?" Ceaderstripe shakes her head, "we dont have time for kits."
"It doesn't have to be right now," Burntwhisker glances at the ground.
She turns away from Burntwhisker and watches Hemlockheart and her kits batting around a moss ball, a smile comes to her face.
"Ceaderstripe," Burntwhisker leans forward so that his face is in her view, "Don't you want kits?"
