In a world where everyone gets a spirit animal on their 12th birthday to protect them and become connected to their very being, a single child gets an animal that is considered weak, but proves to be the strongest of them all.

My Input (a new thing I'll do):

-I think if you want to make this interesting, have the main character at the ages 11-13, which I think would be a cool change.
-Also, make the protagonist not be alone. I mean, of course other people are going to get considered weak animals for spirit animals. Maybe instead of one person, several people prove to rise to the top with their 'weak' animals.

- :0 you should totally make those 'weak' ones join together in a guild. No words needed.
