Marinette panics when she realizes the doors are not open. She does not understand what made it shut down.  She was sure this thing was in working order when she got on it.  How is she to explain to her boyfriend why she is not in her home preparing for their date tonight?  She sure hopes Kim will not furious with her.

     "What is wrong with the doors?" Marinette asks.

       Miss Helen says, "The elevator quit working.  My dog, Miss Lucy will be late to her groomers appointment." 

   "Well, at least no one is alone or hurt," Adrien remarks.

    "I am afraid. I mean what if the elevator falls or something," Marinette says.

    "Look, Miss, there is no need to panic," Adrien tells her.

      "Listen to your man here because he is right." Miss Harriet says.

       Marinette laughs.  Adrien laughs too.

    "Mind, telling me what is so funny?"  Miss Harriet asks.

    Miss Lucy barks twice.

      "She is not my girlfriend,"  Adrien says.

    "Well, that is a shame.  You two seem rather smitten with each other," Miss Harriet remarks.

   "What, I have never seen him before today,"  Marinette says. She blushes.

"I never saw her before either. Believe me, I would remember if I had,"  Adrien says.

"I always remember a pretty face when I see one,"  Adrien says.

   "I still think you would make a lovely couple," Miss Harriet remarks.

 Miss Lucy sniffs at the contents of her owner's purse. 

The bag has the following items in it: some pocket kleenex, gum, mints, hand sanitizer, keys, a water bottle, a wallet, a few loose coins, hand cream, lotion, a mirror, hairbrush, safety pins, pair of socks, umbrella, goldfish crackers, prunes and  a copy of Reader's Digest inside it. 

  Miss Lucy begins to munch on some goldfish crackers.  Miss Harriet does not notice.

  "I am Adrien  Agreste,"  the boy finally says.

  "I am Marinette,  Dupain-Cheng" the girl says.

  "Nice to meet you Adrien and Marinette, I am Miss Harriet Stone and the Chihuahua, is Miss Lucy."  Miss Harriet Stone says.

   "Nice to meet you, Miss Harriet Stone."  Adrien and Marinette says at the same time. 
   

"Marinette, so nice to meet you too," Adrien says with a blush across his face.

  Adrien stares at Marinette. He knows they just met but thinks she is beautiful.  

Marinette catches Adrien staring at her. She wonders if there is something on her face she does not know about. She also blushes from embarrassment.  She thinks he is handsome.

    "Did I ever tell you how my husband Mr. Stone and I were once trapped in an elevator together like this one?" Miss Harriet Stone asks.

   "No," Adrien says.

  "I do not think you did," Marinette says.

  "Well, at the time he was not my husband. We had only just met, but later we knew we were meant to be." Miss Harriet states.

  Miss Stone rambles on about the day she met her husband and so on as time goes by fast. 

   Adrien notices Marinette glance his way. He blushes as he thinks, I want to marry her someday.

  The elevator makes an odd sound like something is trying to shift. 

  "Ah," Marinette screams now more frightened than she was before now.

Adrien sits down next to Marinette. He winks at her. He tries to calm her down by talking to her in a gentle tone.  

"It is okay, Marinette. I am sure everything is just fine." Adrien says.

"Not it is not, I am afraid," Marinette says.

Adrien hugs Marinette, and Marinette hugs him back.  After a while, she falls asleep in his arms with Miss Harriet sees this she grins. 

   "Shh!  Quiet, Miss Lucy! We do not want to wake up the lovebirds now." Miss Stone remarks.
