Adrien is ticked off with Marinette for not telling him sooner she has a boyfriend.  He should have known it was too good to be true for her to be single.

   Marinette hears a buzz sound on her phone, then a ding sound.  She looks at it to see who sent the text.
  

   "Oh, I just got a text from Kim!"  Marinette brags.

   Marinette reads the message. 
  

  Kim's text to Marinette...

   Hi, where are you? You did not forget about our date did you?-Kim

  Marinette smiles as she texts him back.  
 

  Marinette's text to Kim...

   I did not forget. I got stuck inside a broken elevator that is all.

  Elsewhere with Kim, because he is not on the elevator.   

   Kim's text to Marinette...

Oh, dear that is awful. How long will it be until you get out? 

  Kim's text to Marinette...

You are not alone on the elevator, are you?

Marinette text to Kim...

I am not sure how long it will take for it to be repaired.   Adrien Agreste, Miss Harriet Stone a sweet, elderly woman and her dog, Miss Lucy are in her with me.

   Kim's text to Marinette...

  Okay, well we need to talk soon.

Marinette's text to Kim...

  We are talking, but by texts. You are such a kidder.

Kim's text...

  Well, I was going to tell you this in person, but it cannot wait.

Marinette's text...

okay, what is it then? :)

I think we need some space from each other if you get my drift.

 Fine, though I did not think I needed to spell this out for you.

Kim's text...

 Let me word it this way, Marinette we need to break up.

 Marinette's text...

You cannot be serious. You are dumping me?  You are dumping me over a text?

Kim's text...
 I was going to tell you this over supper tonight, but since you are stuck in some elevator, I decided to go out with it now....as in I met someone else...sorry...

 Marinette's text...

what? How dare you do this over text? :(:(  I thought you loved me.

  Kim's text to Marinette...

  sorry, you thought wrong. bye, Marinette!  Have a nice life...

 Marinette starts to cry.  "How could he do this?" Marinette says.

   "Marinette why all the tears?"  Miss Harriet asks.

  "My boyfriend just dumped me over text. How could he?" Marinette blurts out.

  "Marinette, about earlier, I uh...I am so sorry." Adrien says.

   Adrien remarks, "Oh, and sorry your boyfriend broke up with you over text. It was a rotten thing for him to do." 

Marinette says, "You are too kind and are just saying this to make me feel better. What makes it worse is the fact he told me he met someone else. It turns out you both were right, he cheated on me."  

Adrien says, "I am sorry to hear that Marinette."  He thinks, what should I do? I am not good at this sort of thing.

 "Look, do not be so hard on yourself. He is the loser for letting you go!" Adrien says.

   "Anyone else would be crazy to let a girl as kind as you go.  I know it makes no sense, but I know I like you." Adrien says.

 "You think so. You like me?" Marinette says.

  "Yes, what is there not to like?"  Adrien asks.

"Marinette, see I told you he likes you."  Miss Harriet says.

 "Marinette, come here," Adrien says gently.

  Marinette stands up and lets Adrien hug her again. 

"Thanks, Adrien I feel much better now, "Marinette says.

"No, problem. We are friends, right?" Adrien says.

 "Yes," Marinette says.

  "Here," Adrien says as he hands Marinette a slip of paper with his number on it.

"Adrien, thank you. I am not ready for another relationship yet." Marinette states.

"I understand. It is just in case you ever need someone to talk too." Adrien says.
