TO THE READERS OF STRANGER

I honestly can't quite put into words how it feels to have finally finished this story. It's surreal, honestly. I've been working on this story for more than a year, and it might be my proudest work (with a little bit of editing probably in store for the future). But what I'm trying to get to is thank you. It's been such a long time to finally get to the end of Stranger, and I honestly commend people who have been here since the beginning. A writer is nothing without their readers.

I've told this story a million times, but I'd like to reiterate it right now. Stranger started out as a summer project for me while I was waiting to hear back for jobs in 2016. The office that I worked for in the marketing department had fired my boss, meaning I couldn't come back to my annual summer job. While searching everywhere for job listings, I decided to have a source of relaxation. I've been in the GOT fandom for four years now, and I had always thought writing fanfic for it would ruin the series for me. BOY, was I wrong, folks. Writing this story, no matter how cringy it was in the beginning, has done so much for me, and I have to thank you all for taking the time to read it.

Writing Stranger has helped me connect with other people who share the same interests as me. It helped me to explore more of my writing skills and possibly pick up Creative Writing as minor in college. Though I have written other fics on here in the past, no other story really grabbed hold of me to which I was consistently writing like Stranger. It allowed me to join communities and make more friends. It helped me gain some readers, which I am grateful for every single one of you.

Maia Sanders started out as a girl like myself, as most OCs do, but she has morphed into someone completely different from who I am. I hope you enjoyed her and her plot. I was always very happy to see in the comments that some of you could connect and relate with her, because she was the type of character I wanted people to have that affect on. I hope this story was more than just a "OC is transported to a TV show world" to you, as I know that many of those can have a highly difficult route. I hope you liked the addition of other characters in Book III from my other GOT stories, as their features were requested, and I thought their characters played an important role to Stranger as well. I know Freya Greyjoy from Howling ended up being a fan-favorite (something I never expected), so it was awesome to see how many people were excited to see her in Maia's story. I really, whole-heartedly hope you enjoyed reading this story.

If you want to, please tell your favorite part! What was one of your favorite scenes? Or which relationship was your favorite? Did my character(s), make an impact on you, and if so, how? Comment here! I can't wait to read your responses!!!

NOTE: This is, sadly, the end of Maia's story. No sequel to this will be made. The epilogue was the ending I chose and an ending that I thought fit right for both Maia and Jon's plot. Melisandre's prophecy went a bit off (as usual), and as she said, "Prophecies are dangerous things." If I choose to make an AU where Maia lives through Season 8, I'll tell you, but the ending to this story still stands. This was the ending I had planned for Maia since the end of Book I and it's going to stay that way.

I do, possibly, plan to write this story again but as an original story, with my own characters and setting, etc., so that story may have an entirely different ending. I don't know, maybe I'll be the next E.L. James (oh god, I hope not lol). This won't be coming anytime soon, but maybe someday!

Again, thank you so much. Thank you for the reads. Thank you for all the comments. Thank you for voting for this story in contests, and allowing it to win more awards than I could ever imagine. Thank you for getting this story Featured in #Fanfiction. Thank you for getting this story trending in the Top 10 of #Fanfiction. Thank you for coming along on Maia's journey and reading her story. Thank you.

And as Jon Snow said, "Long live the Traveler."
